Hotel is old but overall in good shape. We were happy with the stay, in general. The pool is no longer in use and may never be used again, according to the front desk.

Not as advertised - pool is closed, elevator was broken and not operational, no free breakfast. Poor conditions, musty smell, window in room was broken. Couch was stained and doors to the outside do not require key access so felt unsafe. Overall one of the worst hotels.

We have been staying at this hotel for years when visiting family. This time we noticed it is mch more run down, the pool is permanently closed, the breakfast leaves much to be desired. The air conditioner in our room was not working (during a heat wave). They did immediately put us in a new room so that was great. But the employee at the desk said it had been broken and needed fixed. Why would the night desk person put someone in that room if they knew it was broken?? Overall it had just really gone down hill.

Property shows need of maintenance. carpet is worn out, hotel back door lock is broken so not secure, refrigerator racks just thrown in, window had large crack in it, found used coffee bag pod in reservoir of machine - gross, bed linens not crisp in appearance upon arrival, door to room was difficult to close/ open. Low rates and occupancy leads me to believe cash flow issues. Employees were pleasant and there is nearby fining/gas

When I arrived there were 3 people waiting to check in. It was 15 minutes before anyone even came. My turn, computer locked up for 10 minutes. Outside, pool was not useable. Inside, ice machine was out of order and appeared to have been down, including the public washer and dryer for a long time. Doors at ends of the building were not locked. Door to lunch room was locked when not serving. Waffle machine didn't work right.

The property isn’t maintained well. When I walked in the main entrance I had to immediately walk around a tall ladder with a giant hole in the ceiling above it and a light loose and hanging down with a lot of dust everywhere. Looks like it had been like that for awhile. There were some big old water stains on the hall ceiling, so probably some mold behind it. Hotel could definitely use some work and upgrades. Hall carpet is very old and gross. 2nd floor ice machine broken. There’s a small swimming pool out front in disrepair. Looks like they started to repair it and then stopped and just left it like that. The whole hotel just seems in disrepair and they’ve either done cheap fixes (toilet seat in my room had a clearly cheap fix from an old break and it was also cracked) or just ignored needed repairs. Provided breakfast was kind of gross.

Check in employee was great. We needed a fridge and ours wasn’t working so they changed our room as the maintenance person had gone home. All ice machines broken, washers and dryers not working. Fan in washroom not working after one time on. Room and breakfast was fine but nothing in the hotel seemed to be working!

The outdoor pool was covered with water on top . It was dirty. The check in person was average, but did the job. The smell upon entering was animal urine.. The coffee pot area looked cheap. The parking lot was rough. The web said pool , but the outdoor pool has not been prepared for guests for about 4 years per the checkin person. The room seemed clean and felt like one could sleep there.

This is possibly the dirtiest place I’ve stayed in. Our rooms had everything from broken windows to urine puddles on sofa to blood stains on the sheets to dead bugs and molded coffee machines. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I felt gross and unsafe the whole stay.

The property has a lot of unpleasant smells. It needs a deep, deep, cleaning. The room was not cleaned. The beds smelled like body odor. There was hair in all the drawers. Stair cases that led outside led to unlocked doors. Anyone could come and go and it did not feel secure. The pool was not open or ever open this summer but that info was not updated to the hotel details. It was not pricey but we paid with the sacrifice of safety and sanitation.

This QUALITY INN was always a pleasure to stay at in the past. The room I occupied smelled musty. The toilet would not flush. The bathtub drain was held open by a small empty shampoo bottle. One of the wash cloths was unusable. It had some kind of hardened substance on it. It may had been washed but should have been thrown away. The mattress cover had a substance on the side and had mold growing on it.

Had a NO smoking sign in room that stated if you smoke you would be charged $250 for the cleaning fee. But yet the place was dirty, place smelled like cigarettes became everyone stood at main entrance to smoke including the employees. Place didnt look like a vacuum was ran in their for several months. Rooms smelled like mold. Had spiders in the room. Had to use bleach wipes to clean all of the surfaces due to dust.

Would not recommend to anyone ! This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. The room had a musky odor , the refrigerator door has not been wiped down in who knows how long . The air conditioner unit was covered in dust , lamp bases had dirt / gunk building up .I didn’t feel comfortable showering as there was dirt on the shower floor . Lastly to top everything off a large cockroach came scrolling by the bathroom floor when I was trying to go to the bathroom . The vending machines were outdated and limited to barely anything and did not accept cards . It was a terrible experience just disgusting and would definitely not recommend. I have no idea how this place has such a high rating .

This hotel was disguising from the moment we walked on to our room. The bathroom had hair all in the sink coffee or pop on the ceiling and down the wall. Looked like someone sneezed all over the mirrors. Crumbs in the fridge and microwave. Someone’s leftover dirty wash cloth hanging in the bathroom behind the door. Something greedy on the tv stand. We were not the only guests asking for cleaner rooms. We will not be staying here again! Unfortunately I booked through Expedia and not sure if we can get our money back or not! Think again before booking here. The housekeepers need retrained! I am a head housekeeper and an inspector and this hotel is disgusting!

The first room they offered to us was on the first level. It had a huge crack in the window glass, and the window wouldn't lock... major security problem! Plus, the toilet ran constantly and wouldn't flush, and it wasn't very clean. We were only in that room for a few minutes before we decided not to stay in it. So, we got a different room. The second room was much better, but still lacking cleanliness. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.

So much to say - the staff were more than helpful but this property has so much wrong with it. First is the noise - rooms facing the highway suffer all day and night with truckers downshifting, and it comes right thru the walls and earplugs too. On the other side is quieter till the early morning, when delivery vans and school buses grind up the slope. Light shines in around the curtains from the spotlights circling the hotel - great for security but sucks if you’re sensitive to light at night. Many room doors stick, so get slammed day and night. Rooms very tired, and I stayed 3 of them trying to escape the noise! The last one had a toilet with a warped flapper valve which emptied and refilled every few minutes till I turned its water supply off overnite. Breakfast is ghastly, greasy patties, cold eggs, but the coffee’s good and it’s free. Pool was out of commission. Price was right but advise you to stay elsewhere if you value your sleep!

Access to highway was great. Building is old a tired does not look updated since original build. Non smoking room smells as if it was a smoking room. Cable not working. Breakfast was the only reason I chose this motel over the ones across the highway.

The carpet was stained, the wallpaper in our room was peeling, the ceiling had a big crack in it, the duvet had cigarette burns in it even though we were in a non-smoking room, the pullout sofa had a weird stain on it AND was broken, so it was unusable, the AC barely worked and our room was so hot. The lock on the door was broken, etc. Highly do NOT recommend staying here.

This trip was my second time staying at this hotel. (5 days/4 nights)My first stay was great with no complaints. I like the area because of the nearby restaurants and easy access to the expressway. However, once we checked in, we noticed that the room had a slight smell and the carpet felt damp. The AC stopped working the next morning. We told the front desk and they promised to have it fixed. We got back late, tired and ready to go to sleep. The AC was not fixed! We ended up having to pack all our stuff back up and switch rooms. Mind you, we were traveling with a toddler and a six year old & it was incredibly HOT! The new room was also damp to the point that there was condensation on the walls. Even though I like the area and did have a previous pleasant stay, this trip was just a disappointment.

Great friendly check-in but was expecting a little more cleaniness and comfort for the price I paid. However it was a pet friendly hotel so that may have had something to do with some of the stains. The biggest downside was the smell. Maybe from cleaning agents but it was a strong humid mildewy smell.

The front desk people I find are always so friendly. I stay here every time I I’m in WV. Seems like the new owners are working on upgrading this hotel. I find it safe, clean and overall an easy access to everywhere I need to be. I find it safe, well lite and overall I would recommend this hotel.

They ran my credit card multiple times with the wrong expiration date causing it to decline. I was on the phone with the credit card company, they could see the error code. I finally used another card. Then they sent me to a room with no beds. Literally, the beds were totally off the frames and stripped and on the wall. The room itself was clean and well air conditioned but the common areas were very warm. It was cheap, but I don't think I will be back.

We arrived at 3:30am, and were up at 10a packing our bags. At 11:15a, the clerk knocks on our door asking if we were ready to check out. When I replied we were walking out now, he marked his paper and walked away. He was not pleasant or accommodating at all. Will not return here.

Rudely awakened by housekeeping at 7:50am sunday morning, lady entered my room then slammed the door back. When i got up to investigate she was walking down the hall and “said wrong room” if i had a pistol i mightve shot her. This practice needs to stop!

When I arrived there were 3 people waiting to check in. It was 15 minutes before anyone even came. My turn, computer locked up for 10 minutes. Outside, pool was not useable. Inside, ice machine was out of order and appeared to have been down, including the public washer and dryer for a long time. Doors at ends of the building were not locked. Door to lunch room was locked when not serving. Waffle machine didn't work right.

comfortable, clean, excellent staff - special thanks to Jignes at front desk who assisted us with changing the bed sheets that were discovered stained when going to bed. He was unable to get housekeeping at that time of night and had no other king rooms to move us to - so he got clean replacement sheets and assisted with changing the bed himself. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you.

The staff was extremely pleasant. I felt the hotel was in good condition, safe, and no issues as far as noise or anything. It is in a good location to be able to go in any direction. Close to everything but a quiet area overall.

So much to say - the staff were more than helpful but this property has so much wrong with it. First is the noise - rooms facing the highway suffer all day and night with truckers downshifting, and it comes right thru the walls and earplugs too. On the other side is quieter till the early morning, when delivery vans and school buses grind up the slope. Light shines in around the curtains from the spotlights circling the hotel - great for security but sucks if you’re sensitive to light at night. Many room doors stick, so get slammed day and night. Rooms very tired, and I stayed 3 of them trying to escape the noise! The last one had a toilet with a warped flapper valve which emptied and refilled every few minutes till I turned its water supply off overnite. Breakfast is ghastly, greasy patties, cold eggs, but the coffee’s good and it’s free. Pool was out of commission. Price was right but advise you to stay elsewhere if you value your sleep!

Our room was clean and comfortable. It is not a noisy place, and the continental breakfast had a nice selection of items, and the attendant checked often to make sure all of the items were in good supply. Front desk staff were pleasant. It's a pleasant place for an overnight stay and right off the Interstate.

The only good thing was the person who checked us in. He was very nice. The room was not dirty but it wasnt clean either. We goy very poor reception from our tv which meant limited channels. Also the whole place smelled like pot and mold. The lady that took care of the breakfast area was rude as hell. The breakfast was only till 9 am which on a Saturday is ridiculous as most people sleep in. . The lady who worked there turned lights off on people while they were still eating and said she was taking the food out. How rude. She couldnt wait till everyone was done. All in all my stay was not a good experience at all. I would never recommend staying there.

I like that there were no negative surprises. Room did not smell of stale smoke, heater was not noisy, the hallways were wide. However the coffee in the breakfast area was bitter and very strong. Not drinkable.

The room was disgusting!! Terrible smell, nasty carpet, stained furniture, broken desk chair. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was basic hotel self serve continental with eggs and sausage as well. Self serve door key system “out of order” so had to be let in our room by staff. No issues with parking. Lobby smelled of cigarette smoke.

The Quality Inn at Fairmont has become my preferred location to stay when in Morgantown area. It isn't the best or most luxurious but has a high value for cost and appears well managed. They could improve things like the cleanliness of the lobby but I appreciate the convivence and value I'm getting with my stay. Definitely will be my first choice for now.

Made a small mistake with booking and checkout. I work nightshift and was woke up out of a dead sleep and treated like a criminal. Indian guy, skinny with pop bottle glasses.
