Great location in the lower old town of Quebec. Comfortable room with a walk in shower (Yay!) and good amenities. The breakfast was very good and the evening meal at the onsite restaurant was excellent. Be sure to book the restaurant.

Fantastic hotel. The location is perfect, an easy walk to many sights. The service was impeccable. The bed, including pillows and sheets was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. There are many gorgeous gathering spaces in the hotel and several appreciated touches like a specialty coffee machine in the lobby and a filtered water station.

Lovely staff - so helpful and kind; allowed us to store our luggage upon arrival and departure so we could enjoy more of the beautiful city; lovely location; rigth near Le Petit Champlain St; the self serve wine bar was a great treat :) The rooms spacious and clean; overall a lovely boutique hotel but with a very homey feel; highly recommend; it's on the pricer side but if you can indulge, I would recommend

Great hotel located on quiet street in Old Quebec City. Nice lobby with several cosy hangout spaces to relax and chat, Hotel 71 is an oasis of calm. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are spacious and well stocked, and they even provide filtered drinking water in a communal spot to reduce plastics waste — this is a hotel that allows the visitor to relax and enjoy their visit to Quebec City. It’s a 15-minute walk to the train station (or a 5-minute taxi ride); it’s location is close to Le Petit Champlain, restaurants, bars, antique stores, art stores, and the beautiful cobbled streets of Old QC, this is an ideal spot for your vacation.

Good location, friendly staff with an Italian restaurant on site. The only downside is that self parking is not onsite. You have to park in a public garage a block away, and if there’s an event going on, you could come back to find the lot full.

Nice hotel. Rooms very spacious and quiet. One elevator was under repair so made getting to rooms slow. The espresso machine in main lobby was not working during our stay which was disappointing.

Modern hotel, there is nothing exceptional about it. The bed was dirty when we arrived but they fixed it. We mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and they didnt acknowledge it.

Second stay. Beautiful property with a great location. Would be 5 stars, but this time, housekeeping was a bit lacking, leaving surfaces dusty and never changed the sheets in a 6 day stay. (I know there is a card to ask for that, but my experience has been sheets get changed every few days, regardless of whether you use the card) One cool novelty is the wine /liquor vending machine in the lobby!

The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, museums and stores. The room was large and we slept like babies, great mattress and pillows. My favorite was the shower. There was plenty of storage in the room and bathroom. The hotel was very clean throughtout. Our room had a great view of the river and Levi island. The best thing was the Staff. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and that made for a wonderful stay. We truly had a great time and the hotel and staff was a big part of us feeling comfortable. Perfectly situated on a quiet street in Old Quebec, Hotel 71 was a wonderful boutique hotel experience. Superior King Room was well appointed, modern and quiet. Very restful sleeps! The lobby, seating areas, coffee room and all common areas were beautifully designed and decorated, with many seating areas and amazing complimentary coffees, lattes, teas etc. The best I've saved for last, though. The staff...from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out...were friendly, attentive, professional and went over and above to provide an amazing visit. Every single person we encountered epitomized hospitality. Thanks for a fabulous weekend, Hotel 71! I will recommend your property to anyone visiting Quebec City.

You can't control the air conditioning. meaning it's freezing most of the time the staff knows and they are embarrassed about it. and they have heaters ready ( even during the summer) and the staff is a bit rude and not very helpful don't be fooled by beautiful pictures that they have posted.

Rooms are huge and nice. Location is great. They should add a few paintings to the walls, just to break them up a little. I would happily stay there again. Nice view of the river, if the room is high enough.

The quality of the fixtures and fittings, and the interior and decoration are a bit dated for the price of the room. There is heating pipework on the ceiling from the room above. The wall is bare paint and surface mounted sound system. We paid for the next level up room because we saw that the photos of the room looked bright with two large windows but we were allocated a room with one window- not sure this was the standard room or not as upon checking the photo of the standard room, it gave us a visual match. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Benefits of the hotel are location, and close proximity to the nearby public parking ($34/24 hrs). We would prefer an inroom facility for hot drink, and free drinking water and slippers at this price point.

Hotel 71 ranks as one of my all-time favorite hotels. The room was stunning and spotless. The employees provide exceptional customer service. And the location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to everything! Even though we did not need our car, we found on-street parking just a few steps from the hotel’s entrance. Hotel 71 is definitely five stars all around!

The hotel is perfectly located for what we were there to experience…Carnaval! Had a little hiccup with the self- serve wine card. I forgot it in the machine and someone else used it for several glasses of wine. The staff at the desk were understanding and disabled the card and corrected my bill.

Accommodations were fine but self parking is not onsite (as advertised). It’s a public lot a couple of blocks away. The hotel also charged me for room service I didn’t order. The receipt clearly had another room number on it and it took several emails and a phone call to the manager to get refunded for their error.

We were allocated a room that had a faulty air conditioning system which the hotel was aware of. The noise kept us awake all night. It spoilt our 3 night stay as we were too tired to do anything on day two. We got moved to another quieter room and the first night's stay was refunded. However, we would have preferred it if our stay hadn't been ruined by something the hotel was clearly aware of.

This was an excellent hotel. We lucked out big time by staying here. The city was great, the staff was excellent. Evelyne at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting us taxis and telling us ideas to discover in the city. Roshan (I think was the manager) was very pleasant as well. This was a great trip!

Hotel 71 was the perfect base for exploring Old Quebec. It is 3 mins walk from main Lower Town sights (Petit Champlain and Vieux Port) and 10 mins walk (max) to the walls and Upper Town including Chateau Frontenac and Place d'Armes. The hotel is impeccably kept, comfortable modern rooms with European accents, and friendly professional staff. Service and facilities were line with the very best boutique hotels. Great restaurant on site (Matto Italiano) and easy walk to several other top rated restaurants in the immediate area. Will definitely return!

Stayed here for one nite before leaving on cruise . An easy 10 minute walk to the port with a suitcase and backpack. Room was spacious and very quiet. Hotel located in area with multiple restaurants nearby to walk to. We had arrived in Quebec City from Montreal by train. Hotel an easy 13 minute walk from the train station .

We recently stayed at Hotel 71 in Quebec City and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel is beautiful, with clean modern lines. Our room was fabulous! We had a stunning view of the St. Lawrence and enjoyed a magical firework display on our last night. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the red velvet chairs, bathroom with tub and makeup mirror. My husband enjoyed having\xa0coffee\xa0in the room. We also enjoyed the wine dispenser and absolutely loved dinner at Matto's! The early morning brunch was also a treat with a wide variety of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, breads including croissants! I am\xa0recommending\xa0Hotel 71 to all my friends and hope to plan another stay soon!

Great location, clean room, nice restaurant onsite. Showers were great...with great water pressure. Bed comfortable. There is a terrific restaurant onsite and many restaurants with 2 blocks. One of the best museums in Canada is across the street from the hotel. Parking was offsite and costs about $20/day. My only complaint is that they can use an extra person in the lobby to help with check-in and luggage.

We were celebrating a special occasion and opted for a Deluxe room to get a king bed. We stayed in a corner room on an upper floor with a view out to both the St.Lawrence River and Old Town. The view was spectacular. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower. And while the bathroom vanity area had a moderate amount of places to stash toiletries, I was glad I brought hanging bags for toiletries and cosmetics. Our room had a long closet to hang clothing though we mostly lived out of our suitcase since we were only there 3 nights. As with most hotel rooms, I wish there were more places to hang wet towels. The lobby was pleasant and the all day coffee bar was a nice feature. Breakfast is pricey and not included. There is a self-service wine bar in the lobby however the wine cost seemed fairly expensive. The hotel is in the lower area of Old Quebec and very convenient for visitors.

Spot on! The reception area and the rooms are great. The staff is SUPER nice. They had 24 hrs tea and coffee service. There is an awesome italian restaurant onsite. The breakfast in only cold which i would say is the only downer but that forces us to try places in town. The area around the hotel is OH so beautiful and a 15 min walk to the Fairmont and that main street. I would highly recommend a stay here.
