This hotel is beautiful and the staff is superb. Breakfast is really good, with an amazing variety of food, and a super competent staff. The room was comfortable and quiet. The bathroom has a separate toilet, which can be common in old buildings, and might be bad for some people, but it wasn't a problem for us. The exercise room is just a few small dumbbells (up to only 10kg), a treadmill and a bench, but it was clean and empty. The location is really good. Metro line and tram just minutes away, and a bus stop right in front of the building. Plus, you can easily walk to many of the city's main tourist attractions.

The hotel itself and lobby were fine, however, the carpeting in our room was very stained. The beds were OK, but the mattress "topper" proved to be quite moveable during my sleep.

The interior of the hotel has been renovated but it’s already showing signs of wear. All the carpets in the lobby and hallways have random stains. This is a theme that continues into the room. Lots of stains on the carpet. The housekeeping at the hotel are terrible. They didn’t clean the room for 2 nights on the 3 day we asked for the room to be serviced. Front desk was surprised that they didn’t clean the room. Housekeeping’s version of cleaning consisted of leaving the wet and dirty towels on the floor, leaving all the used glasses in the room, and the used coffee cups still dirty with coffee were simply turned over on the saucers to hide the use. No replenishment of water and coffee pods for use. They did make the beds so I guess that’s something. We then asked for more towels to be brought since all of ours were still wet on the floor. They came dropped new towel on the bed and still left all the wet ones on the floor. So you judge for yourself because I don’t think thats good service right there . The breakfast is fine, variety enough to eat before heading out to walk around the city. The restaurant where it’s served is very pretty. The hotel is located in a dirty area. Lots of smell of urine and feces, homeless right on the corner. Parking lot behind the hotel to leave the car . Can be accessed internally from the G level in the hotel.

Staff was friendly, especially at the front desk and the bar. The room was comfortable. However, our low rating is due to the terrible housekeeping. 1) towels were not replaced. 2) the beds were not properly made 3) the used cups were not cleaned/replaced and even the unused cups were not clean (they were sticky) 4) additional dirt was brought in to the bathroom (a clump of hair was found in the corner of the toilet) A very nicely located hotel, with friendly staff. Marred by very poor housekeeping services.
