Quick check-in and decent breakfast. Quieter Clarksville exit than #4, so that was a plus. Not-so-good: Wyndham is only giving cheap updates and slapping a higher price tag on all of these old hotels. There was a huge pile of old furniture on the backside that they had taken out of rooms (my room still had the old stuff). There was a dog’s paw print stained onto the sheets (just trash the sheet, ew.) The chair had a Cheeto in the crack, so cleaning crews clearly don’t check everything. Everything is so old that the toilet barely wanted to flush, and the seat was peeling. That can’t be totally sanitary when cleaned. They put the most stained washcloth you could find front and center (again, just throw that out.) Next door neighbor auto place started weed whacking at 6:30AM. Despite the posted warning about the tub being slippery, there was no mat, but overall, it wasn’t too slippery anyway. There were multiple spots of what looked to be fecal matter on the bathroom wall. The shower curtain had a large patch of mildew, which tells me the cleaning crew doesn’t inspect them, or take down and wash them ever. The saving grace was the breakfast variety. While there was something off about the milk for the bowl of cereal I originally wanted, I tossed that and was able to toast a lovely bagel and take a few honey buns for later down the road. After staying at multiple old hotels slapping the Wyndham name on them, I don’t think I’ll be doing that anymore. Price and quality don’t match.
