Tidy place, decent breakfast, small pool and hot tub. Friendly staff. Close to mall

The Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Kids liked the pool, the water was a good temperature. The bed was a little hard for me. No kids programming available on the TV (2 channels said Disney were playing something else) Hot Tub was not functional in the morning and the breakfast area was a little crowded but food was good and plenty of variety. Overall a very good stay

Pool needs cleaning. Debris floating in it. Hot tub is not operational at this time. Older property and clean. Fixtures in bathroom need updating. Rusted chip in the tub. Very old style taps. Price was right. Would be an option if staying in area again but not an automatic.

This motel was very disappointing. The pool was completely unusable, with a large, loud fan running beside it and a strong mold/mildew smell throughout the motel. Room cleanliness was lacking, and my allergies flared up during the stay. Guests smoked right outside the door, forcing us to walk through smoke every time we entered. The motel was visibly short-staffed. Elevators were extremely slow and sketchy — I would not recommend using them unless absolutely necessary. Breakfast was very basic, and constant door slamming added to the poor experience. Despite paying for four people, the room wasn’t stocked with enough towels, glasses, or essentials, and we were expected to go to the front desk to get them ourselves. The only positive was the location: less than a five-minute drive to the waterfront. Unfortunately, being in a busy commercial area added noise and traffic. Overall, this motel did not meet expectations and was not worth the price

Hot tub was very dirty

The pool area. They had this loud fan runnig all the time beside the pool and the door open all day, They must have a humidity issue in this area. Also the hall ways are kepted so cold you sure felt it going back to your room after coming out of the pool.

We loved the pool. it was great that it was 3 ft as the deep end for we didnt have to hold the child she was able to move and jump around on her own.

The place was awesome..check was easy.. room was very clean and smelled fresh and clean.. swimming pool and hot tub was excellent

The pool is very small , so much so that even though I was booked mid week , I could never get a chance to use the pool to relax as well , the hot tub was cordoned off and could not be used. I feel this info should have been shared at the time of booking.

Good breakfast, nice pool and hot tub, convenient location

We ordered a room with a pullout couch for the kids. The pullout couch was heavily blood stained with crumbs and debris inside when we ordered a cot it was left with the blankets all over the floor in the hallway we had to switch rooms and our access cards to our rooms kept malfunctioning.

Clean room and great service.

After 2 nights in other accommodations in town, that were terrible this was a great relief. Check-in was quick, staff polite, service good, rooms clean quiet, and parking safe and visible. The pool and hotub were clean and available. The breakfast had quite a variety, and healthy options. We will be back as we only used them for 8 hours as our travels continued.

Clean room

quick getaway August 18th, 2025 Excited to visit Midland again but not expecting the conditions of the hotel. Our FIRST room appeared to be clean on first glance, then I saw the decorative small quilt on the end of the bed and also the skirting around the bed frame!! The small quilt had visible stains on it and I do NOT want to know what the stains were that were Very visible sliding down the skirting. I am not a picky person, but I do expect a room to be clean! I asked the young lady at the front desk if we could be moved to another room if possible. She was very accommodating, even gave us a larger room with an apology with the condition of the bedding. 2nd room-So strong that we immediately opened up the window to air it out. I checked the bed to make sure it was clean, thank heavens it was. Even though the smell in the room was very obnoxious, we decided to stay in this room because we were leaving for the afternoon and not returning till late evening. We hopped leaving the window wide open while we were gone, would alleviate the smell. Returning back to the hotel at 9:30pm, the smell had lessened but still irritating, we just put up with it. Unfortunately the disappointment didn't stop there.... The washroom.....Lets just say, water dripping from the shower curtain onto the floor lead me to dry it and the white towel was black and the walls of the shower were just as dirty! I wish I could attach pictures....because words are words and pictures are priceless!!

Honestly the room was disgusting, bathtub that’s beside the bed was filthy and mattress was sinking in the middle. Made the night almost impossible to sleep.

We were to stay for one evening with our three children from April 19-20. First room 303 we were given had countless flies dead and alive on the inside window sill, second and final room 203 no flies just ants all over the walls and floor. I can’t imagine what else wasn’t cleaned.

Walls and floor were too thin. We could hear people watching TV next door and people walking around above us.

The hotel is definitely dated, there weren’t even any usb outlets in the room and only one electric outlet by bed so we had to unplug the clock radio to plug in cpap machine and phones had to charge on opposite side of the room. There is a pool but it is only 3 feet deep so more for wading. Breakfast was fine with hot and cold choices and fruit. Location is close to two coffee shops, grocery and some shopping, all walkable.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. There is zero sound proofing between rooms. Hotel is convenient.

good value .However, the sound isolation is extremely poor. Conversations from adjoining rooms as well as above rooms are easy heard throughout the night.

The walls were paper thin. Heard next room yelling till early morning hours.

Bed was comfortable, internet was good and easy accessibility to wifi

It was ok. Nice bed, couch and window on trees. Carpets was very worn by the door, no Kleenex in the room and the bathtub tap worked in reverse! Surprising when one expect cold and gets hot! Should have been a warning sign.

The staff at the 9pm hour was extremely friendly and very polite. She was fast and efficient with checking me in and making me feel welcomed.

Checked in online night before. Arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon after a 7 hour drive and Was told my room wasn't ready and front staff had to check with housekeeping. At 2:40 she still hadn't heard from housekeeping and I was told I wasn't suppose to show up until 3 anyway. Front staff was rude and argumentative. Only to discover housekeeping staff were outside the front entrance smoking. We had mistaken them for guests. Not likely to stay there again. Too bad, it was such a convenient location.

All the employees are great to talk with. I was on a solo vacation and felt very comfortable at this hotel. I will be back again with my kids and hubby. Thank you so much for the AMAZING HOSPITALITY!!!!

The hotel is OK, clean, quiet, elevator, OK breakfast. My issue was with check-in. They claimed that Expedia had cancelled my reservation (which is obviously not the case because I’m responded to Expedia’s rate this hotel experience email), the key to the room I was initially given didn’t work, so they changed rooms, but they didn’t connect the new room to my name and the next day they assigned it to another guest who walked into the room while I was in the room. They sorted it out because I went to the front desk, they didn’t proactively reach out to deal with this, they apologized, but this was a serious security breach. They didn’t have housekeeping clean the room (because housekeeping didn’t know I had used the room).

Excellent staff service.

Check in was quick. Staff was friendly. I had a room with the jacuzzi tub. It worked great. Breakfast the next morning was good and check out was quick. Enjoyed my stay. Will stay again next time I’m in Midland.

I want to state that the rooms were clean, spacious, and well set up ( we had booked two rooms). The staff were polite. Our issue was that we were unable to sleep for two nights because the hotel was occupied by hockey teams participating in a tournament. who were unwilling to respect other guests right for rest and hotel staff unable to shut this down. The partying, as well as blatant underage drinking, went on until well past 2:30 am in the morning with nothing other than a text message sent out at 11:00 to state that this was now "quiet" time. When we politely asked the parents of these teams to shut the partying down on the second night, our request was mocked and ignored. We had a four month old baby in one of the rooms whose sleep was greatly disrupted as was ours. The hallways were littered with beer cans both mornings. When we shared our experience with the manager, we were met with sympathy and were assured that we would be contacted for a follow up by the General Manager. After a few follow up texts over this past week , we received a text message today stating that the GM didn't have time to reach out and a $30.00 refund would be granted. We are disappointed at this lack of follow up and respect for guests paying over $200.00 per night to not be able to sleep.

We came in late and the young lady on the front counter was very courteous. She helped us with her check in and gave us the information and offered wake up calls if required. Let us know about breakfast as well as check out times but was very polite and courteous all the way through our conversation. She was fun to clown around with and had no problem with coming back with some quick whip. I'll be back.

There was a mix up at check-in..thankfully i had a screen shot of the confirmation date and price Super 8 didn'thave a room reserved for us..i guessed there was a glitch ..between Expedia and Suer 8 hotel. Thankfully they wee not full and we got a room..same price...

I found the girl that we had for check in was very rude. I’ve never come across somebody there like that before I’ve been to this place a few times the other girls especially the last night we were there. She was really nice last girl when we were there on Monday. I find it a little bit outdated needs a few things done like plug in stuff like that lamps are very old. I felt they were dangerous.

Good location and amenities. We boat on georgian bay and the hotel location is a quick 5 minutes drive from our marina.

Enjoyed the stay at Super 8 Midland. Lots of dining options, easy walking to supermarkets, malls, coffee shops and to the local Hospital. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear but the staff does a good job at keeping it tidy.

Convenient location near some fast food restaurants and major roads. Hotel is clean and well kept although a little dated.

On Sept 5 we had to call the service desk on the evening. They did not seem friendly, very bland replies There should be a brochure inside, like at other hotels that have a directory for services, taxi, restaurants near by etc. The pool hours, breakfast type and hours it's served. Other staff was terrific and breakfast was lovely. The coffee was not good, very weak and watery was comment made by others too. Small things, but overall lovely and will return. Hopefully to see a few of the above changes too Thanks again

Breakfast poor

Offered a lot of choice for breakfast such as waffles, toasted bagels and cream cheese, eggs and sausages, yogurt, fruit, juice etc. Pleasant stay.

All was good but the breakfast area was too small.
