Bijzondere locatie in oude kazerne met zwembadje op dakterras dat zelfs in oktober nog open was, niet warm, maar wel beetje verwarmd. Er lagen soms zelfs handdoeken klaar. Schitterend uitzicht! Geen ontbijt geboekt, maar we kregen wel koffie en croissants, heel fijn! Enige aandachtspunt: de bedden zijn best hard en het stapelbed had een lage rand, waardoor we een beetje bang waren dat je eruit kon rollen. De hoofdkussens zijn wel heerlijk. Dit hotel is uniek, echt een aanrader!

la camera era fredda, usciva solo aria tiepida, il pannello di controllo non permetteva la regolazione della temperatura. Inoltre la bocchetta dell'aria era rumorosa, per dormire ho dovuto togliere la card per spegnerla. Inoltre pur avendo mandato la targa per il parcheggio, non era stata registrata e non sono riuscito a entrare, ho dovuto fare marcia indietro con l'auto e rifare la registrazione. Il ristorante è buono e particolare

很神奇的住上了一家第一天开业的酒店！装修很特别有点废土风，但实际上细节不错，很有质感。房间宽敞，公区也很大，还有游泳池。离老城一公里左右，可以步行到达。酒店内外停车都很方便。十分推荐。

Das Zimmer war schön gross und und luftig, durch die Höhe. Es war ruhig zum Innenhof und besonders gefielen uns der Wasserspender auf dem gang und der Dach Pool, der auch jetzt im Dezember auf war und von uns gut genutzt wurde ! Im grossen Zimmer fehlte mir min.ein 2.ter Stuhl und in dem Fernseher war nicht klar, wie man auf deutsche Sender kommen könnte. Die Gesamt Anlage ist großartig und beeindruckend...

Cool, artistic and fun designed hotel. We really loved our room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. And it’s easy and feels safe to park the car on the street outside. Sadly for us they changed the breakfast times for Saturdays without information. From 7 am to 8 am. For us this made a big difference, because we knew beforehand that we had to leave 7.30 am for the ferry to England and we missed out of the breaks booked according to the information online.

Verwarming stond wel veel te hoog (21C), gelukkig wel zelf te bedienen en gelukkig kon raam ook open (hing beetje vreemde verf/betonlucht in de kamer) Onze kamer werd na 1 nacht al schoongemaakt en we kregen nieuwe handdoeken, op zich fijn, maar niet nodig en niet goed voor milieu. Beter de regel ‘handdoek op de grond’ hanteren. Ontbijt op zich goed, wel aan de prijs en de krukjes in restaurant zitten wel erg onaangenaam. Dat je na betaling voor de kamer alsnog je kaart moet scannen om voor 120 euro garant te staan is vreemd en wordt nergens gecommuniceerd. Fijn dat je voor en na verblijf je bagage al kan stallen.

Ons verblijf bij Jam Gent viel ons erg tegen. Het hotel heeft een hip en moderne uitstraling en geeft in eerste instantie een positieve indruk, tot je op je kamer komt en direct wordt geconfronteerd met een chemische lijmlucht. Daar blijft het niet bij want bij het openen van de badkamerdeur komt er een weinige plezante rioollucht overheen. Na ons daar overheen gezet te hebben bleek dat de douche met de warme kraan volledig opengezet alleen lauw water te geven. Het gezellig samen een filmpje in bed kijken zat er ook al niet in vanwege het ontbreken van een normale zender - geen Nederlandstalige zenders, en de bbc zenders gaven geen beeld. Bij het uitchecken aangeven wat er allemaal aan schortte, maar er werd bijna schouderophalend gereageerd met o.a. het bizarre argument dat de rioollucht misschien niet zo gek is in zo’n oud pand… Geen voorstel voor enige compensatie, maar meer van zoek het lekker uit. Kortom een erg teleurstellende ervaring.

Beautiful building and setting. Sadly the hotel is style over substance. There is no sound proofing in the rooms, so we hardly slept. All we could hear were doors slamming, toilets flushing and banging on the stairs. The staff were not interested when we complained.

Cool, artistic and fun designed hotel. We really loved our room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. And it’s easy and feels safe to park the car on the street outside. Sadly for us they changed the breakfast times for Saturdays without information. From 7 am to 8 am. For us this made a big difference, because we knew beforehand that we had to leave 7.30 am for the ferry to England and we missed out of the breaks booked according to the information online.

Prachtige locatie! Alleen daarom al de moeite waard om een kamer te boeken. Het ligt in de buurt van een aantal grote musea. Circa 15 min wandelen naar binnenstad. Openbaar vervoer is wat beperkt op deze locatie naar binnenstad. Prima en schone kamer. Creatieve jonge vibe. Wat ons betreft een plek om naar terug te komen.

Bijzondere locatie in oude kazerne met zwembadje op dakterras dat zelfs in oktober nog open was, niet warm, maar wel beetje verwarmd. Er lagen soms zelfs handdoeken klaar. Schitterend uitzicht! Geen ontbijt geboekt, maar we kregen wel koffie en croissants, heel fijn! Enige aandachtspunt: de bedden zijn best hard en het stapelbed had een lage rand, waardoor we een beetje bang waren dat je eruit kon rollen. De hoofdkussens zijn wel heerlijk. Dit hotel is uniek, echt een aanrader!

la camera era fredda, usciva solo aria tiepida, il pannello di controllo non permetteva la regolazione della temperatura. Inoltre la bocchetta dell'aria era rumorosa, per dormire ho dovuto togliere la card per spegnerla. Inoltre pur avendo mandato la targa per il parcheggio, non era stata registrata e non sono riuscito a entrare, ho dovuto fare marcia indietro con l'auto e rifare la registrazione. Great hotel in terms of style and amenities. Stayed here with our family. However my young son cut his foot badly in the pool on a sharp metal edge and there was no one who could do first aid or had the right medical kit to help, despite trying to be helpful and sympathetic. No one took details and the manager never contacted us to check he was ok which was disappointing. We returned and asked if the manager was around but were told he was off for the weekend.

The family room isvhuge, plenty of space for everyone. The beds are comfy and well positioned. The location of the hotel is in the student area so there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
