Very reasonable price, modest accommodation, nothing fancy, good mattress, older facility without an elevator (2 stories).

Great location and awesome for the price. Small but if you are just needing a place to sleep for a night or two it's perfect. They have a kitchen off the lobby which can be shared by guests. Stove and refrigerator.

Only issue was the HOT room and no screen on the balcony doors to leave the doors open and cool it down. Otherwise, property was really cute, owner and staff were friendly, and price was great compared to surrounding options. There are shared bathrooms and showers but were always open when we needed to use them and always clean!

A basic, inexpensive inn with shared bathrooms. Friendly staff. We used it as a staging location for a 2:30 AM redeye after checking out of our main hotel.

I stayed here for four nights—peaceful, quiet, clean, and free parking. Free coffee, free internet, and cooking area is available. Laundry is affordable.

We had an excellant nights sleep at the Inn. Arrived after 11 pm, no problem and they were kind enough to give us a late checkout. Room was very clean and qiuet. Price was very reasonable too.

Run down, poorly maintained property with stuff broken everywhere, sticky floor in our room and everything generally cramped and gross. This place is a hostel at best. Shared bathrooms are filthy and it's noisy as well. The staff are friendly but don't really offer any help with anything. If you're used to staying in dirty hostels you'll love this place, otherwise go somewhere else.

The inn was horrible. Clearly misrepresented by the pictures on their site. We had reservations for two nights but it was so bad we did not stay the second night even though a refund was refused. Sticky floor, thick mold in shower. The section of town was less than stellar.

The floors and rug seemed to not have been cleaned in over a year. Please sweep, mop and vacuum the floors (should be a part of housekeeping’s list). Had to wear flip flops around the room.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The shared bathroom was cleaned frequently. Best of all was the staff. They are very friendly and accommodating.

This is a quirky place. I really liked the style and furnishings. The staff were quirky too but seemed friendly enough. I’m glad I had my own bathroom, it and the room were clean and comfy just a bit tired. I really enjoyed my one night stay here.

I stayed here for one night and would not stay again. There were bed bugs. There was no one at the front desk overnight or in the morning to assist with this problem and my request for a partial was denied. Apparently, the Inn says it’s not authorized to make any refunds despite giving me a room with bed bugs. The room otherwise was okay but was not well maintained with water damage, missing light fixtures, burned out light bulbs, and dirty curtains. The walls were thin but I did not have issues with loud noises or with others keeping me up as reported in other reviews but the area seemed a bit transient and I did not feel entirely safe/comfortable as a solo traveler. I suggest others avoid this motel, especially given the bed bug issues and their lack of action to address the issue or compensate customers for these unacceptable conditions.

Comfortable bed, good shower, handy location. No air-conditioning or fridge in my room, so overpriced like everything in anchorage. Having said that, if I'm back here, I'd probably stay here again yiif it was for 1or 2 nights.

2nd night in last 6 days here. Internet still cutting out. Road still busy, 25 mtrs from my room.

The room I had was small and contained only a bed, two chairs, a table, a sink, and tv—no microwave or refrigerator. The bathroom and shower are a few steps down the hall. It’s what I expected from the description and the price, so I was not displeased. The facility is in a commercial area, so no view or trees around, but the property has nice tables and chairs outside and is a very pleasant place. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay that is safe, quiet, and not expensive.

Clean room, a bit noisy from street traffic. I will return for another stay.

Rooms were clean. Price was fair. Room was extremely HOT. The door to my room didn’t completely seal, there was a 1/4” gap almost door length on one vertical side, the wind would blow through and light would come through. They could not put me in the same room both nights of my stay, so I had to check out before 11am, be gone until 3pm, then check back in. My first room was nicer than the second. Still hot and stuffy.

Some of the outlets didn't work and the wifi was a little slow but overall an amazing experience. I would diffidently recommend

My window could not latch closed! Was slightly opened all night. Staff was friendly and rooms were unique in being individually decorated, but the place is certainly a bit dated. Price is pretty good compared to other hotels but same price as staying at much better vrbo 30 minutes out of town.

Bed was very uncomfortable, there is an odor that is weird, my wife has knee problems but our room was upstairs & far back to the end of the building & only one way entrance to the upstairs floor. No elevator. People screaming & partying across the street late at night. I appreciate the time but I will not be staying there in the future. Thank you.

I stayed two times on different days. I had to wait more than 40 minutes to check in because staff wasn’t showing up at front desk.

I had booked a reservation a few minutes shy of midnight and as I was calling to just assure them I was going to arrive a gentleman answered the phone and said there was no one at the desk everyone went to sleep for the night and there was nothing he could do to get me checked in. I then went to my third party booking site requested a refund and they stated they cannot do a refund as I was a no-show and after I spoke with the motel itself they stated that they have no control over the people who answered the phones if it was a guest or not regardless I was not going to get my refund. The absolute unreasonable way they handle this especially for the position I was in I definitely do not recommend.

We contacted the property the day of our arrival to let them know we would be late checking in due to a delay with our flight. We were told that someone would be there to check us in. When we arrived, all doors were locked. We had to find other accommodations. It was approximately 1:30 AM, we had no car, and temperatures were around freezing.

It was fine. Front desk guy was great.

Staff was super friendly. Showed me where to park and showed me the room.

Plane was delayed so arrived after check in. Called ahead and gave me a number to call when arrived. No one answered. I was forced to find another hotel or sleep on the street. They refused to give a refund. Never stay here

So the young lady at the desk when I checked in was pretty rude. I arrived at the motel at 9:15pm and the main entrance was locked and nobody was behind the checkout desk. After knocking loudly for a few minutes, a female in her late 20’s appeared with a very irritated look on her face like I had arrived late and was interrupting her soap opera

When we arrived, we were given a room on the ground floor. It was freezing inside, and heating didn't work. The expected temperature at night was 6⁰C. The outside door had 1-2 inch gaps on the bottom, top and sides. When I brought it up to the blond receptionist, she said "just cover the gaps with the towels, we gave you plenty of towels". Eventually the owner showed up, and moved us to the second floor. Heating didn't work either, but he gave us a space heater. At first water was cold in the sink and shower, and he said they have a problem with hot water tank, too. Couple of hour later there was hot water in the shower again. The owner was very helpful, and tried his best. However we found the blond receptionist extremely rude, snappish and bad-tempered. She was rude at every encounter, i.e. when I asked at 6pm where I can get more water for the kettle in the shared kitchenette she snapped "you have to wait till tomorrow". We travel a lot, and we stayed in many hotels, but I never encountered such hostility and rudeness. This person should never work in the hospitality industry. Overall, it was a very poor experience. Shower was adequatly clean, but wooden bed frame and a floor had a layer of old dirt. Same with the table in the shared kitchenette - it was sticky and smelled of old dirt. I do not recommend this hotel.

Qupqugiaq Inn is in a very convenient location. It was just want we needed for a good night rest before on to other activities.

Staff was very kind. Traffic made the room noisy. Didn’t feel safe leaving the motel.

It's close to a few really good restaurants and waking distance to the theater.

Close to bus line and every local knew this place even though i could not say the name.

Room was nearly $300 yet the hotel itself is more similar to a basic older Motel 6 in quality. Just the most basic of amenities. No breakfast available, located in sketchy area of central Anchorage, across a from strip mall which can be noisy at night - sirens, traffic. For nearly $300, I suppose I expected more. The photos made it look more appealing than reality. However the night counterperson was very nice and got me checked in quick and efficiently.

Staff was great- they have an amazing kitchen for customer use. Bedding was clean, as were linens. There was an almost 2” gap at the bottom of the door leading to outside. I covered it with a towel. The shower was dirty and so were the floors.

This is a little hidden gem. Very quaintly decorated. Clean. Not wild about the shared bathrooms and showers but it worked out ok. Full kitchen in the lobby for guests to cook meals. Great coffee I. The morning. Would stay here again when coming to anchorage.

I have stayed at this property in the past and was pleasantly surprised to see some small comfort upgrades like complementary bottled water, cookies, and chocolates. This is basically a "no frills" place to stay within budget without the usual amenities like free breakfast, pool, etc. They offer typical 1 or 2 bed rooms but also offer sleeping pods and shared bathrooms for $50/night depending on your needs. My room was $216 for the night total which is a good deal during tourist season. I arrived over 2 hours before the normal check-in time due to driving into town and they were able to accommodate me within 15 minutes. Pros: CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. While this property may look a little sketch on the outside, the rooms are very clean and smell nice. In the few times I have stayed here over 15 years, cleanliness has never been an issue. The comforter and pillows were super soft and comfortable. As i mentioned, there were bottles of water, cookies, and chocolates free of charge in the room as a welcome gift. It was a nice touch after spending all day on the road. Cons: Only one - the bed was very, very hard. I have stayed in different rooms in the past and I don't remember having an uncomfortable bed so maybe it was just this room but my goodness. I woke up often and my back was sore the next day. I don't think i have ever slept on such a hard bed. It was unexpected as I crawled into the lovely comforter and pillows. But that's my only negative.
