The hotel was very nice. Easy to get to on express bus from airport. Hotel was near junction of 2 tram lines so getting anywhere was easy. The lift worked well and was appreciated.

Buena estancia. El hotel está bien ubicado. El personal es muy amable. La máquina de refrescos no funcionaba el primer día, pero al día siguiente la arreglaron. Las tarjetas de acceso a la habitación, fallaban.

The hotel is 5 minutes to its namesake, Van Gogh. Tram is around the corner. Dead quiet unless the school across the pedestrian only road is on recess in the afternoon. Super area. No parking nearby that I am aware of. Plenty of good food nearby.

Hotel in a good location, near primary schools so a little bit noisy at times. Lift was out of order so an epic stair climb to the 4th (top) floor. Decor is a bit tired and had to look under the beds for something dropped and the the level of dust/fluff/dirt was disappointing to find....

Das Hotel liegt am Van Gogh Museum, sodass von dort aus alles weitere der Stadt gut zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Durch das Parkhaus Q Park Museumsplein ist ebenfalls eine nahegelegene Parkmöglichkeit gegeben. Das Personal war freundlich und hat uns bei der Abreise auf den durch den Amsterdam Marathon beschränkten Weg hingewiesen und wie wir zu fahren hätten. Das Zimmer war soweit sauber und trotz dem gegenüberliegenden Kindergarten ruhig gelegen. Unser Fenster war direkt zu diesem raus, aber die Lautstärke war völlig okay - man hat nicht viel davon bemerkt. Auch die Größe des Zimmers war angenehm, für unsere (kleinen) Koffer war genug Platz, sodass wir auch bequem laufen konnten. Ebenso das Bad hatte eine angenehme Größe, vor allem die Dusche betreffend. Zum Frühstück können wir nichts sagen, da wir diese Option nicht gebucht hatten. Wir würden noch einmal wieder kommen.

We were staying one night in Amsterdam before a cruise. As a family of six, we booked two triple rooms. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Optional breakfast was handy and buffet-style. Hotel accommodated us by holding our bags after checkout so we could do a canal cruise and they arranged for our ride to the airport.

Staying here was fantastic! It is very close to the art museums and it is easy to access other parts of the city by walking, bus, or tram. The staff member who checked us in was so friendly and helped us carry our luggage up the stairs since the elevator was under construction. Breakfast at the hotel was good, but there were many other places within walking distance as well. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the luggage storage was not under staff supervision. However, they let us extend our checkout until 1pm for only 20 euros so we could make sure our belongings were safe. Overall, it was a nice stay and I would stay here again!

Simpático hotel, localizado no centro de Amsterda. Os recepcionista do check out foram simpatissimos e super-prestativos.Só um ponto a ser melhorado, a máquina da recepção com água e refrigerante estava quebrada e também não existia opçao de comida. Cheguei a noite, com muita sede e fome e não tinha opção no hotel por sorte a recepcionista me ajudou. Sugiro que deixem a opcão de água nos quartos para a venda.

Hotel Van Gogh is brilliantly located for access to the Van Gogh and Rijks Museums, and old Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Airport Express drops and picks up very nearby on Paulus Potter street which is ideal. The neighbourhood is reasonably quiet. The hotel itself is disappointing. The images on the website show rooms with big windows but the rooms on the 4th floor have very narrow windows and feel like an attic. The room was very cramped with 3 beds and very tired decor. It also needed a more thorough clean and more options for lighting because the ceiling light was extremely bright. The air conditioning wasn't working when we were there so it was very stuffy too. Breakfast was ok, plenty of options to suit different preferences. Left luggage facility was very useful.

I loved the location - on a quiet pedestrian street tucked away but only a few steps from a main tram line. Close to many dining options, and in a very safe, clean area. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. I think the housekeeping staff do a great job and have attention to detail.

Great location. Can walk to popular areas like Leidsplein and museums. Close to Museumplein tram and bus stops. (Take Bus 397 to and from airport. It's a 35 min ride and cheaper than other optiins) Clean room.

The reception staff were fantastic... very very helpful, pleasant and responsive. Unfortuntely our room was very hot (no effective air conditioning) but worse - bathrroom poorly cleaned, with mould on shower frames, around basin and brown stains at bottom of toilet bowel -all readily removable with some cleaning elbow grease and some off the shelf chemicals.

Great location literally 2 minutes’ walk from the Van Gogh Museum. The room was fine for our needs but the double bed was small & was in the eves on the top floor so not good if you are tall & sit up in bed! There was a Nespresso machine in the room which was restocked with supplies daily as well as daily cleaning. Very central to all the sights in Museumplein as well as excellent tram & bus links. Found an excellent Italian trattoria “Toto” about a 10 minute walk away.

Excellent location and very basic and functional amenities. Accommodating staff. Easy tram #2 and 12 to the hub/Central Station. Museum Quarter within very short walking distance. Highly recommended if your expectations aren’t 5* Rooms very cozily small with little space to spread or store your stuff. Still it’s very nice and quiet.

The hotel itself is fine; convenient enough and clean. The service that we experience however, was dismal. When a fire alarm went off in our room, although a false alarm, our room was barged into with no knock or notice. The staff did not have answers for us, and expected us to sleep in a room with a disconnected smoke detector. The person did not have good customer service, telling us we were unimportant and that his manager, Jay, would not care to help us or prioritize our experience. We then watched them have a screaming match on the phone. When we were given no other option than to stay in an unsafe room, we had a fitful sleep and were unable to speak to Jay in the morning either, with no other manager or option for someone to speak to. The morning receptionist assured us that the owners, above Jay, also would not care to listen to our issues with their service and safety. That morning before checking out, our room was barged in to AGAIN by a tradesperson. The unpermitted access to our room was unacceptable, the service was uncaring and the management is abhorrent. I do not recommend staying here.

We extended our Rhine river cruise in Amsterdam for 3 more days The Amsterdam trip was nice and interesting , we explored what we planned to see Van Gogh hotel is walkable distance to couples museums, great location, quiet and safe neighborhood Except the front desk came out so slow to check in us that we waited there for 15 minutes It was 7:30 pm

Close to museum Square. Not so friendly front staff. The one who checked me in and out was rude. He said my room was ready then not ready and asked me to wait. My friends and I were reading some attraction brochures at the front. He gave us the look and 'if you dont want to wait, I can give you another room above the original unit.' Why couldn't he do that? Obviously, he didnt like us standing around at the front. During the check out, I took the credit card to pay the city/tourism fee, 'what's that for? You dont have anything to pay.' The way he spoke was very rude. He couldnt say that any nicer?? And another staff worked at the front, couldn't even give us the airport shuttle info that stops right by the hotel. He said to google it. Cleaning staff didnt even follow the simple direction we asked.

The location was fantastic! Across the street from the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, a tram station that goes to the central station, AND a bus stop, getting around was never an issue. There was no shortage of things to do, as there were plenty of shops nearby and Vondelpark was a short walk away. The rooms were a great size too, with plenty of space to put our luggage down without tripping over it. We did have a recurring issue where our keys sometimes wouldn't let us into our room, but it was okay because there was always someone at the front desk to help. Would recommend!

It's perfectly located. Train and Christmas market were right out front. There's a great breakfast restaurant just out front. Rooms were ok and the heat in one of our rooms didn't work so it was cold.

Great convenient location!!! Van Gogh museum was 1 minute away. Your right in the high end fashion district. All public transportation was 1 minute away, (including #397 bus that takes you directly into the airport in 45 minutes). Heineken Brewery is 10 minute walk away. Blue Boat canal cruises are a 10 minute walk away. Rijksmuseum is a 5 minute walk away.

This place was great for my daughter and I to explore amsterdam. Short walk to our favorite museums. Close to the park to go for a run or stroll. Close to canal tours and the Hard Rock Cafe. It was perfect for our trip. The hotel itself was quiet with no interruptions in sleep. The tap water was tasty and was how we filled our water bottles every day. The morning breakfast is a little overpriced for what you get, but not too unreasonable.

It was a shame that there was no luggage storage in the room, but it was clean and spacious enough.The cooler was working fine too The breakfast was good and substantial. In particular, the breakfast room staff and cleaning staff always greeted us with a smile.

Sehr zentral. Bus & Tram direkt vor der Tür (der Bus fährt zum Flughafen & die Tram in die Stadt). Supermarkt 5 min zu Fuß. Einrichtung war alles in Ordnung. Frühstück würde ich nicht empfehlen.

The Hotel was one block away from the Van Gogh Museum but across the courtyard from a daycare/preschool and it was very noisy starting from 7am everyday. There also was some kind of sports game with adults right outside our window up until 11 pm on a Tuesday night? The staff was non existent, we checked in on a machine, it was fast and easy, but anytime we inquired about anything the staff gave me one word responses, not ideal or friendly. Room was fine, 3 twin beds were comfortable, bathroom was a little small but shower was nice.
