Not very clean. Long black hairs in the bathroom sink when I checked in. Weird holes in the bedding. Vending machines advertised, but couldn't take cards; the card reader was closed with duct tape. Front desk help non-existant. Just some guy wandering around the hallways. Won't stay here again.

I've been staying at this hotel for 15 years. I come down fishing 4 times a year. Unfortunately, I have a bit of a problem with getting power to my boat. Motel 6 has outside electric outlets to charge my batteries in my boat. I was promised for the last 2 years they would be fixed. So far nothing. Other than that I'm ok.

This property is in a nice location if you are wanting to explore crab orchard lake or Shawnee national forest. However, this was our first time to the area and we booked what we could find. This property isn’t clean, the pool is closed, and somehow we flipped the breaker trying to heat up pasta in our microwave. Overnight, my whole foot found a hole in the bedspread and got stuck. In the morning, I was using the restroom and so was a spider and a roach. We booked a king and got asked numerous times if we needed 2 beds because we are 2 women but no, we do not need 2 beds. That’s why we booked what we did. All in all, no. Do not come here even tho there are numerous “good” reviews. I’m not sure who those people are but there is no way they stayed where we did.

I arrived to check in to the room. The first room I was given was occupied. We actually woke a night nurse up from her sleep. I went to the desk to try again. This room was 'meh.' The bed was okay, but I can't describe it as comfortable. There were things like the sprinkler hanging out of a hole in the ceiling, the pillows were so flat, and the towels were smaller bath towels that felt like they've been around a long time. There were no amenities; the pool was closed. I'd probably choose a different hotel to stay in.

The property was old and had a poorly lit parking area. Upon entering there was a strong marijuana odor. I know it's legal in the state but my gosh it was overly pungent as if a skunk died in there. Front desk staff were not available when arriving to check-in but did eventually come. They weren't very friendly but for through the process as expected. Not available at all for check-out though but the desk did have a drop box for the room key for checking out. Wow were the pillows comfy!

Staff was friendly. Room was just OK for staying overnight and leaving the next morning. It appeared clean. The parking was well lit and they had security cameras. I chose this hotel because the price was great and our cat was no extra charge. The website did not mention an animal deposit like all the other hotels did. I was surprised at check in that there was a deposit of $100 which I will be fully refunded in a couple of days. I think that should be on the hotels.com page.

The manager was friendly when we arrived. It was unexpected that the bathroom wasn't fully enclosed. There was a window in the shower that had no glass so we had to close two curtains when we showered. We found mold on our shower curtain. We found a roach in the bathroom as well. The TV was angled towards the ceiling and we didn't want to attempt to move it down as it did not seem sturdy on the wall. There wasn't a freezer in the refrigerator. House keeping did not come at all during our 2 night stay.

ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES. I felt something crawling on me while I was in the bed sleeping. Thought maybe it was just my mind being tired. Went to the bathroom, 3 roaches in the tub, started packing up my stuff to leave and found 20 roaches in the bathroom alone. Went to get my dog food another 7-8 roaches in my dogs food. So I pull back the blankets roaches. I tell the front desk about the roaches and show them the videos and they said, we have never had a complaint about roaches. I'm sure that is lie, there are baby roaches that means you have had them for awhile. I am absolutely disgusted, I do not have roaches where I live in Colorado, have never had roaches, so this was absolutely disgusting to me. For some reason I can not add pictures or the videos I took.

Old and outdated, got a random phone call at 5 in the morning with nobody on the line. The owner came knocking on the door at 9 am seeing if we needed our room cleaned when we only stayed 1 night. Found hairs on bed, pillows, and towels. The pillows were old and terrible and the sheets and blankets were old and thin. One bed had cigarette burns in the bed sheets. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. Never will we stay here again. This property needs to be bulldozed and re-built!!

Our bathroom had a huge opening out to the room. It was covered with a shower curtain, but could still see through a bit. Not ideal for traveling with my teenage son. Definitely didn’t shower!!

Room was fairly clean but old and could use fresh paint, a good window cleaning and some drywall repair. The air conditioner was very loud and the fan in the bathroom didn't work. Front desk attendant was pleasant and it is pet friendly. I suppose for the price it was good enough for a place to sleep on a road trip.

Spacious room and bathroom! Very clean. Convenient parking to either of the two outside doors. Oops - no facial tissues in the room, but I'm sure they would have been provided had I asked. The room I was in had a jacuzzi rather than a standard tub, with only a shower curtain between the tub and the sleeping room. No problem for me, but if a non-family member was sharing the room, might be awkward. The motel is onla short walk to the airport terminal, if that is a consideration

I asked for a room on the first floor for my father who has difficulty with stairs when I prepaid for the room. The room was not available and we had to go upstairs. The room was non smoking but smelled like a cigarette.

The hotel smelled of cigarettes and Marijuana. There was a large octagonal hole that let you look right into the bathroom from the sleeping area. So there was no privacy. Vend8ng machines didnt work. There was never anyone at the front desk. Semi truck parking was not easy we ended up parking at the small airport behind the motel. There was no shampoo or conditioner left. There was a dirty towel left in our hotel room.

The rooms are clean but the motel sure really needs updated. The toilet seat was very loose. I didn’t understand why two mattress covers were on the bed and the top blanket was stained. The TVs are very small and need to upgraded also. Otherwise it’s just a bed.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed for several weeks. We always felt very comfortable & safe the entire time. Staff was extremely friendly & very helpful. Other guest seemed happy with their stay as well. Our room was super roomy & very comfortable.This motel was extremely pet friendly with no extra pet fees. I would totally recommend this Motel 6 especially if you are traveling with pets.

One of the nicest Motel 6 Hotels that i have stayed at. I've stayed at many of them. The manager was really helpful. My TV in the room didn't work. He and his wife came up to the room within 10 minutes to check it out. They came back 5 minutes later with a new TV. I can't say enough about the customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Bed was very comfortable. Spacious room. My biggest complaint was the chech-in process. Resvervation made through Expedia. I even received a call from the property confirming I made the reservation. Upon arrival I was informed that my credit card was declined. I explained that the reservation was paid through Expedia. He said I needed to pay with a different card. I used the same card that I used with Expedia. Now I got billed twice. I was told to wait for the charges to post against my credit card. If both charges get posted I am to call the Motel 6 to get a refund-very frustrating.

Very clean, well maintained hotel. Great customer service. They acknowledge you every time they see you and make you feel welcomed. It snowed here overnight, the sidewalks was clear and salted the next morning. Check in and out very easy. In the morning they only have coffee, as advertised. Continental breakfast would be greatly appreciated.

I routinely use Motel 6 in Marion because it has a good location and the room is a good value. The owner is very friendly and attentive to your needs.The location is a short distance from restaurants and retail locations. It is located along Route 13, a 4 lane highway that is an east-west arterial for Southern Illinois, making it easy to visit other cities and attractions in the area.

First, realize that for half a hundred a night you're not getting a Drury Inn. Amenities were slim to none- no breakfast at all, no coffee makers in the rooms, bare bones. There are zero dining options in walking distance unless you do marathons. But, the room cleaner than some we paid more for. Bed was comfortable, no smoke smell at all which is sometimes an issue even with non-smoking motels. Front desk guy was great, we had a couple of minor problems on check in that he handled right away. We're familiar with the area so we knew about the no food in walking distance thing, there are a zillion options a short drive away. If money matters, this is a good pick. Suggestions for the owner/management would be to upgrade the vending machines and selections...with no place in walking distance, snacks, pop and sweet rolls might make more money than the rooms! We would and will stay here again.
