You cannot beat a better location in Basel. Its right next to the train station that takes you around the city and out of the city if you wish. The location has stores that will address any need you have. The breakfast they provide is excellent providing something for everyone. The gym facility is poor with no air circulation and very warm. The entrance smells of cigarette smoke which is off putting. We don’t know if it was our room but the A/C while cooling left everything musty and damp. The hotel provides a Basel pass that gets you free use of public transit in the city and discounts for your sightseeing. Lastly, the staff was great. Friendly and helpful.

This hotel is right across the street from the train terminal and the tram stop which was very convenient for us as we were going to the zoo. We are at the restaurant and enjoyed what we ordered.

Victoria is a four star hotel, very well located facing the Basel train station. It is mainly oriented to business customers. Premises are modern and well kept. It offers a very good buffet breakfast and private underground parking in the premises. The only VIP benefit to Expedia customers is free parking, not any other. I have also stayed in others hotels in the area and returning to Basel should decide for Schweitzerhof as I do not need to park a car and favor room views and warmer atmosphere.

This hotel really is a find. It combines exceptional service with large, comfortable rooms and (for Switzerland) reasonable prices. They even have memory foam pillows as standard There’s a small gym with a decent free weight selection and three cardio machines. The hotel is right in front of the railway station and the direct bus to the airport, but it’s very tranquil. This is my second stay and I’ve been really impressed both times. Two small suggestions. 1. The Wifi is not consistently up to video conferencing or video streaming; I ended up using 5G instead. 2. They have plant-milk and vegan Bircher Muesli at breakfast but a few more vegan options would be great (overall choice is good and they have a vegan burger on the dinner menu)

Hotel was in an excellent location. Walking distance to everywhere. Internet wasn't working properly only real downside. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast a bit expensive but so is everywhere else. But rooms really nice and clean and modern. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

The hotel looks good, not a new, but clean and comfortable. I don't know anything about the breakfast, we decided not to order it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning is every day. Very good sound isolation, the place is next to the central railway and bus station.

Hotel Victoria was in a great location to use the vast tram system in Basel. It is directly across from the train station and there are quite a few shops inside the station itself. Fraser at the front desk was very helpful to answer my MANY questions about the train station, fun activities (I was expecting to go to the museum, but it was closed on Mondays), and recommended a restaurant for my cuisine preferences. I really enjoyed talking to him and was very informative. My room was cozy and had all the necessities, plus some extras like slippers and toiletries. There were some hairs left on the bathroom floor, but everything else looked very clean. The room I was in required the use of stairs (4 or 5). One of my bags was heavy and would have preferred a ramp to easily move it up to the room.

Room design is nice. Customer service is very weak. The cleaning of the toilet is extremely poor although i asked to clean properly but still poor. Water shower is broke. Took my personal towel and when i raised it they responded with poor professionalism till i mentioned i need the manager answer and 2 days later they found it! Wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel was fantastic. It was situated in the perfect position for us, as it was very close to the train station and we spent a lot of time visiting other cities via the trains. The staff were very attentive and friendly and very helpful whenever we had any questions. They gave us a Basel card on arrival to grant us free inner-city transport and 50% discount on museums, which was a great help. The room was always kept very clean and we were very warm and comfortable there. Cannot fault our stay here, it was perfect.

Clean, comfortable, very close to Basel train station and the main tram line stop. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was big with great water pressure. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

Good business hotel next to Basel SBB. Been there for 4 nights. Room was clean and had all amenities expected from a 4 star hotel. Structure of the building is a bit odd. You need to take two elevators and navigate some interconnected buildings.

Fantastic hotel. It is right next to the main train station and central tram line so great for commuting but do bear in mind it can be noisy when wanting to sleep. Cannot have windows open (it was a hot summer’s evening). Aircon is available in the room.

I have been in Victoria hotel 3 times. I do like the location near to the main station. The staffs are very helpful on luggage deposit even though I came early before the Check In time. They also helped to provide the electric adapter and tape to fix the broken wheel of the luggage. I strongly recommend this hotel in Basel.

Excellent staff at check-in. Helpful with suggestions. Cleaning staff was a bit inconsistent with replenishing cups, towels, tea, sugar etc. Very small fridge in room but it was not very cold. No microwave. Comfortable bed with warm duvets. Very close to train station and trams. East to get around without car. Confirmed hotel stay alllows free transit within Basel. Does have a very expensive breakfast but we opted to do our own. Only surprise was a city tax of 4 CHF per person per day charged at check out. Overall, very good hotel and amenities.

The hotel was fantastic. It was situated in the perfect position for us, as it was very close to the train station and we spent a lot of time visiting other cities via the trains. Super convenience location. Right in front of the Basel main train station. Even have a direct bus to EuroAioort Basel if needed. Supermanrt available just beside the hotel and many restaurants . Service and condition of hotel was great too

The hotel is across the street from the main train station, we got into our room early upon arrival 5 hours early after getting off a river cruise Very convenient trams 200 yards away , very good buffet breakfast.we were given free Basel cars on arrival which covers local transport and half off various attractions. Recommended

Beautiful hotel! Literally across from the train station, so convenient for people traveling by train. The area around the hotel isn’t the most beautiful, but it felt safe, and overall much nicer than train stations in many other large cities. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is superbly located. Its across the street from the station and a short walk to the old town. Staff were friendly and efficient. Check in was quick. Room was comfortable, clean and adequately sized. The breakfast buffet was good but food ran out - perhaps because it was a busy day. It was a comfortable stay but there is nothing remarkable about the hotel. I would say that it is a little overpriced.

Location was great! It was close to everything we needed and wanted to see. The staff were welcoming when we arrived, helpful storing our luggage and calling a taxi when we were ready to leave. The food was good and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
