The ambiance and indoor was really great and friendly staff. Only thing which we suffered with was extremely hot indoors. We asked for air conditioning which was apparently not possible when the building heating is on. It was really hard for us to sleep as we were boiling hot. The kind staff helped us open window (which we could not by ourselves since the city bylaw does not allow people to open windows). but that did not help

By far the best hotel we stayed at in Europe. After this we would like aim for this Novotel Chain. They facility and Breakfast were good and well balanced. A reasonable bar in the lobby as well. They offered free Tram tickets to down town as they said not very vehicle friendly. We had to leave following day so did not try them.

Super accueil à la réception. Par contre, vu le prix payé, nous avons été déçues par la chambre. Le lit canapé n’était pas confortable et une fois ouvert, on ne pouvait plus bouger dans la chambre. De la poussière sur le miroir de la salle de bain fait douter de la qualité du ménage . Par contre, l’hôtel est très bien situé. Parking à CHF 26/ 25heures

Heel vriendelijk personeel, een heel propere kamer en bedden, tickets om stad te bezoeken en cadeautje voor de kids super lief, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Dichtbij autosnelweg ook wel handig als je op doorreis bent. Min punt: parking was betalend vond ik een beetje raar en er was geen plaats meer als wij toekwamen (rond 22u30). Uiteindelijk heeft de dame van de receptie verteld dat wij ons in een blauwe zone in de straten dichtbij novotel gratis tot 8u ‘s morgens mochten parkeren.

Very pleased with our stay at Novotel Basel City, rooms were very modern and clean. Although our room was right beside the hotel lift we never heard any noise from outside or adjacent rooms. Although the hotel is in a quiter area it is located not far from the main train station and within short walking distance of multiple tram stops to transfer to main station and rest of Basel. I would definitely book again

Staying here for Women’s Euros & there was a great atmosphere & buzz around the hotel & Basel in general. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were great, room was lovely & large with the added bonus of a bath. Breakfast had everything you could expect. The fridge in the room was also welcomed to store my insulin in. Overall a great stay.

Everything was good. Room ok,bathroom ok. Breakfast not with huge variety but tasty and fresh. Location very good near tram station just 5 stops to old city and 2 stops from train station. The only negative was the mattress and especially pillows which were very hard.

Rooms were comfortable, the only issue i would say is the additional bed for child was a ver small sofa. Not one that opens into a bed, just a sofa with bedding. If this had been clearer when booking i would have booked a bigger room. Other than that everything was good

Smooth check in. Room very quiet despite being next to lift. We booked a family room, room was small for a family of four, we were just staying one night before our flight so it was fine but would have been a struggle if staying longer.

This hotel is awesome. The services was really good. When we needed few things, that night staff receptionist(check-in aug 5-7) was an awesome receptionist. He was busy but was able to provide all we needed. Worth it.

Très bon hôtel. L’accueil par une francophone avec beaucoup d’humour était parfait. Points positifs Très bon accueil Chambre spacieuse (exécutive 4 personnes) avec baignoire et douche. Toilettes séparés Bien placé à Bâle Billets de transport en commun inclus toute la durée du séjour ! Un vrai plus. Parking en zone bleue à proximité pour une nuit c’est economique. On achète les cartes de stationnement aux bornes de transport en commun. Parking sous terrain possible mais complet à notre arrivée. Bon petit déjeuner Points à améliorer Les fruits au buffet du petit déjeuner étaient difficiles à trouver, peu renouvelés Le bruit exterieur pour les chambres placées le long de la route et les sensibles des oreilles La lumière du soleil le store était réouvert le matin nous n’avons pas compris (peut être mauvaise manipulation de notre part) l’interrupteur est à l’entrée à l’opposé. Nous y retournerons si nous allons à Bâle

Unfortunately 24 hours prior to our stay, we were stranded by law nearby. We notified Expedia and Novotel Basel City Hotel directly to only be told that that we cannot receive a refund, a credit or change the dates of our stay and we were out of luck. We even have documented proof of being stranded. Terrible service and management by all parties while we suffered for days.

Absolutely amazing 3 days. Hospitality top notch. Breakfast and coffee shop team brilliant. Rooms are really good - very good location - we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Crisp housekeeping and front desk team is knowledgeable and courteous.

The hotel is really good, not only it is modern and well maintained, but offers one of the best buffet breakfast i have experienced. Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't be fooled by the location (which on paper seems a bit far from the main city centre; the location is actually quite convenient.... it is a tram stop away from the main train station (5 min including walking to the tram stop), but if you want to go directly to the city there is another tram stop nearby that will take you there in 10 mins or less. I found it quite convenient and also away from the noise and busyness of the city. Internet was fast and they have other amenities like a gym. The airport is some 20 mins away, just be careful when calling a taxi or uber as the app doesn’t seem to recognise well the location, but i found that if you pick the ibis budget hotel as the pick up location (which is next door) you will have no problems., plus there is parking for taxis there (the main entrance of the Novotel has no parking for taxi pickip).

It was very close to the train station, which was convenient but The parts of the city that you would want to spend time in were about a15 minute walk away. There is excellent public transportation very conveniently located but we did not use it.

Prachtig hotel, fijne kamers en een heerlijk bed. Locatie beetje afgelegen zo bij het treinstation etc maar prima voor doorreis op vakantie. Avondeten was echt slecht en vooral voor die prijs. Zou ik zeker niet weer doen!
