Hotel Saddleback

Hot tub working but pool not. Right next to 5 freeway and at intersection of Rosecrans and Bloomfield. Lots of places to eat within 5-10 minutes driving. Not really good for walking to get food. Microwave but no refrigerator. Large room. TV reception is limited. Direct TV with I think ESPN, Angels Bally, Fox news, and maybe 3 other channels that get good reception, but don't go there to watch TV.

There was a minor inconvenience in that the bathroom had a broken exhaust fan. Not a big deal, but some people like to evacuate the odor and have the sound from the fan camouflage their bathroom time. Secondly, when we tried to get in the room, our second night The keys would not work. It was close to midnight and I had to make two trips back down to the front desk, which was on the opposite end of the property before I got the right key card. Once I got in the room, there had been no maid service and we had no clean towels. I called the front desk and it was now after midnight and there was no housekeeping on staff to bring any towels. Fortunately, a security person came to make sure we got in our room, and that person went into a vacant room here our roomand got us towels. Finally, all but one of the multiple entrances to the property were open, and it was pretty inconvenient to have to come in from an odd direction and or make u turns, etc. To get into the only gate that was open.I would never stay here again, and never recommend Hotel Saddleback.

Ice machine not working close to room. Had to walk an extended distance just to get ice.

The staff is not helpful and rude.they had alot of empty rooms we came as family and requested rooms to eachother and they refused. The toilet was clogged so they removed me to a room on the same floor. The TV didn’t work, but I stayed since we weren’t really gonna be in the room. The pool is disgusting. You’re swimming and bleach with sweat. The water is literally salty.

FAST EASY CHECK-IN, ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS, BEDS ARE VERY OLD, TV STATIONS VARY, NO EXHAUST FANS IN RESTROOM, BASIC ROOM DON'T HAVE REFER AND MICROWAVE'S AND HAIR DRYER DID NOT WORK. THE PROPERTY IS HUGE WITH 5 BUILDINGS AND TWO LARGE POOLS. OVERALL IT NEEDS WORK FOR BASIC NEEDS.

The hotel was crummy. The whole place felt run down. Wouldnt have minded that but Our TV barely worked, and the sheets were dirty. The worst part was the front desk ensured me the spa and pool were open, but both were ice cold. People partied all night. Would not recommend this location at all.

Entire property gates all closed permenant except one. Still looks the same inside and out since the day they first opened rooms have no frig thats extra charge. No microwave either flat screen tv are a joke 24” and they have only 24 channels running at 480i to choose from omg what a joke. Like l stated NO upgrades, so outdated. Saddle Back Hotel. I won’t recommend to friends worst than Motel6…..

Pool/Jacuzzi were closed. Fan in the Bath did not work. Rusty sink in the Bath. Ok for two Nights

Huge location 2 pools and tons of parking.

Amazing always love that hotel, beautiful scenery, and the pool and jacuzzi are amazing!!!

Bug infested hotel

This has to be one of the worst places to stay. First off, the amenities are no where to found. It’s such an inconvenience of a I’m location. The AC was not working properly so it got hot and humid real fast. There was no ventilation within the bathroom so there’s that! And the icing on the cake, there was huge cockroaches outside and we found one inside the bathroom in the shower. I would avoid this place at all cost, it’s not worth it.

Carpets were dirty and sticky. Bathroom had mold in the bathtub area. Bed mattress was not comfortable. Odor in the rooms.

I saw roaches the room smelled like old mold it was bad

At first, I was a bit skeptical about the hotel because of some negative reviews I had read. So before checking in, I asked to see the room just to make sure it was clean and that none of the complaints were true — and honestly, I felt relieved. The room was spotless, cozy, and smelled clean. The beds were comfortable, not hard at all, and the room stayed warm the whole time. There were no loud nightclubs, no strange noises, and no disturbances whatsoever. It was quiet and peaceful. The room was cleaned every single day during my stay , always tidy, always fresh. Of course, don’t expect a Hilton or Marriott you’re paying a much more affordable price. But for what you’re paying, the service is honestly excellent. The staff is kind, the energy of the hotel is calm, and it felt like a safe, family-friendly environment. Nobody was arguing or acting up, it was just a good vibe overall. My advice: read the reviews if you want, but ask the girls at the front desk to let you see the room first (see it for yourself ) you’ll realize a lot of the negative reviews are way off. This is a real review from someone who actually stayed, and I’m even including a video. Some people claimed there were insects , I didn’t see a single one.

There were roaches in the bathroom and the shower wasn’t clean and the trash can still had trash from the last person

The carpet couldn’t have been vacuumed in months, the bottoms of my feet kept getting blackened with dirt just from walking around the room no matter how many times i rinsed them off.

Way over priced for how dirty it was. Bugs everywhere smelled of cigarettes even though it was a nonsmoking room

Trash in the drawers, shower and tub was dirty, old tissue wads stuck to the walls and ceiling, old juice bottles left in room, no microwave, no refrigerator, bed was broken and leaning to the side, cabinet door was also broken, jacuzzi was not working. Do not stay here.

The hotel was a bed to sleep in. Room was older beat up furniture. The A/C was off and room was hot which took awhile to cool and quiet noise. The room deposit for possible damage was odd. I took pictures of the room to make sure I was charged for nothing. Wouldn't stay there again.

I loved customer service but the mattress was so uncomfortable didn't sleep well.. Also no mini fridge in room. Had to pay extra for them to bring me one. That's the only down side of this place.

My AC unit was so loud and did not work well. The room was very humid and smells like mold. The carpet is dirt. There is no fridge to put our cold drinks in.

The room was not clean, smelled like smoke, the bed was very uncomfortable, you could feel the springs of the mattress, there were hairs on the sheets and pillows, as well as something sticky on the floor it was soo disgusting. I asked to be moved to another room it was a little bit better. Only redeeming thing was the staff they were nice but never again.

No WiFi. Too noisy. Dirty. No cable. Tv broken. Found a cockroach in the bathroom. Bad experience.

Room was ok and clean but the bed was terrible not comfortable at all feel all the spring need new mattress

Felt very safe. Just old, no fridge, no microwave, ans tv was static. Just needed a place to sleep 😴

Nice hotel, a little aged. It was nice in my room, kind of like staying at my grandparents place. Very thin walls, you can here everything from outside like it was right in your room. That was the only issue I had, the room was very well insulated to block any noise from people walking by or the noise from next door neighbors or the walkway upstairs and the people upstairs. This hotel needs serious insulation upgrade to block out noise. But when it was quite, it was very comfortable. I definitely got what I paid for. And I did like the late check out time, you didn't have to wake up early to rush out. I just wish I could of slept in to enjoy the noon check out, but you wake up with everyone else being up and out early with all their noise. Friendly staff at the front desk.

The staff are the bomb

Couldn’t check-in when I arrived there was no staff available and when they were I was told my reservation had been cancelled so when I attempted to get a refund they proceeded to lie to the Expedia agent saying we checked in when we in fact had not but thankfully Expedia was able to resolve the issue.

The hotel is in an old building that hasn’t been upgraded in a long time. Although the property has multiple buildings with few guests, we were placed in the dirtiest, most remote section. The TV didn’t work, the beds were uncomfortable, and we were disturbed early in the morning by calls to our room, which felt intentional since we were aware of the 12:00 noon checkout time. The lady at reception was extremely rude about the whole situation, and it seemed like she was the one calling to wake us up. We had been traveling for over 12 hours and desperately needed rest, which was why we booked this hotel. I had called and emailed ahead to inform them of our situation, yet we were still met with hostility and poor service upon arrival. We checked in after hours, but the staff should have mentioned any issues during our prior communication. We were too exhausted to argue or request a room change, as our children were tired and just wanted to sleep. The lack of communication and empathy was truly disappointing.

The building is old and staff are bnot helpful.

Customer service staff very poor service, they still haven't returned my deposit and it's been 9 days.

Thalia has been amazing in helping me out with my stay. She’s friendly, helpful and went out of her way to help/answer any questions I had.

The front staff is awesome. Always friendly and willing to help. They make check-in easy and fast. Property has plenty of lighting, so you feel safe walking to your car at any hour.

Excellent customer service

Receptionist has great customer service. Rooms are clean in general hotel looks great and i like it cause its literally easy access to the 5 fwy. Definitely i will stay here again.

I stay there for convenience. It’s very close to my mom’s home…otherwise, I’d stay somewhere else.

Overall pleasant stay, and convenient location to family. Only inconvenience, there was no mini fridge and ice maker was out of ice. But a plus, national lampoons family vacation was filmed there, fav movie lol

The property was very nice outside. A strange mix of beauty outside and basic motel inside. No phone inside. TV was tiny, not good cable. No breakfast or meal options. Not a convenient location. Breakfast was offered online and no breakfast was available. The staff was not happy to be there. Overpriced for minimal service.

no WIFI, no bar, no restaurant (as advertised). Had to do work on my laptop in lobby. Pool was OK. Premises very dated, it is still living in the era of the 90's when National Lampoon was filmed there, nothing has changed

I liked that they were very helpful and it’s be try clean and calm, not loud and chaotic rooms are nice and comfortable. I didn’t see a vending machine or snack options that would have been nice. Acess to water bottles I didn’t see that. Prices a little high but it’s not a motel so I understand, inflation. Everything else perfect staff friendly and room and Tv work fine.
