So here’s the deal with this property. It’s the best of the three Honolulu airport hotels as far as property condition goes. And they have a shuttle (although it was broken down on my trip - they booked me a Lyft for free instead). There’s one downside though that I think is worth mentioning if you’re a light sleeper. This hotel sites just feet from the elevated interstate. The only interstate and busiest road in Hawaii. And if you get a room on that side of the building you can hear it, even over the air conditioning. This doesn’t bother me, and I did have a room on that side. But if you’re a light sleeper the Pacific Marina or Honolulu Airport Hotel are quieter. Overall though this is still The nicest property when comparing the three options at HNL.

One of the elevators was out of service which made it challenging to get up and down quickly especially with luggage. The day we needed airport transport there were so many people waiting and not enough shuttles to get us there on time. The front desk did however, order some taxis to help get us all to the airport at their cost. I think it may help to have people sign up at reception for the airport transport so the hotel would know before hand how many people would need transport and could plan accordingly. Breakfast was very good with so many choices. I need dairy free options so I’d suggest having a dairy free milk for coffee and cereals and perhaps cook the scrambled eggs without milk. The pool area was nicely set up as well. This hotel is still a good choice for being close to the airport.

The hotel is close to the airport and is clean. The pool is clean and open until 9pn. I would have rated it higher, but they charged me $50 for an early check-in. The room was available, its not like that had to send cleaning service to it. Also, although it's clean, its dated. It could use room makeovers, and bring in some light.

This hotel is convenient to the airport, but it's old and dated, and the shuttle, which is one of their biggest assets, only runs at the top of the hour instead of continuously. So depending on your flight time, your only choices are to arrive at the airport ridiculously early or possibly too late. I'm sure it's convenient for the hotel, but not for the guests.

We booked this hotel because they offered shuttle service to the airport and we had a very early morning flight. When we arrived, we were told the shuttle was out of service and we should take an Uber. In the morning an Uber was booked for us, but never showed up. The staff was not very helpful and we were very worried that we would miss our international flight.

We chose this hotel because of the convenient location to the airport and shuttle service. Shuttle service was very slow from airport and it only goes back to the airport hourly. We tried to hire 3 different taxis and no one would take us to the hotel, they all said we had to wait for the shuttle. We had been travelling for over 24 hours and really just needed to sleep. The shuttle service could be improved quite easily. Otherwise good stay. Building was a bit dated.

Stayed one night during a layover, so we didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities. Check-in was easy( and the staff told us we had 20 minutes to hit McDonald's next door which was badly needed.) Pool looked nice and the free breakfast was really tasty and the dining area was clean. The shuttles were on-time and courteous.

The location of the hotel is in a highway-filled dingy part of town and is very unpleasant/scary to walk anywhere. We Ubered to Pearl Harbor Memorial and Waikiki with great experiences.

Towels stink, they smell like dirty feet. There were wads of black hair in the shower and on the shower curtain, not sure the tub and shower were cleaned following the previous guests. There were crumbs on the carpeting. I didn't follow up with the front desk as we were only there for 1 night, and were exhausted from a very long day of travelling. But the room didn't feel clean.

My husband and I had a really good time however, we were very careful not to have any food out at any time… There were still an ant infestation and at one point we woke up with ants covering our bed. Itty-bitty tiny ants. Bad weekend to have a lifelong phobia.

The staff was friendly. It was a quick check in and they made accommodations to let us into one of our two rooms early so that we could rest since we came in early in the morning. It did cost us 50 bucks. I like the large fixed windows in the rooms that overlook the surrounding areas even though we're at the airport and have mostly a city view with a partial ocean and mountains in the distance. I selected this hotel to be close to the airport for a transfer to our flight, with breakfast. I found food in the area to be sufficient. I recommend the big kahuna pizza. I'm surprised that they only transfer one an hour. They're so close. It would probably be less than a 10 minute turnaround. One of the only things I could mention negative would be in one of my rooms had a warn hole in the carpet, not surprising at the end of the season.

The hotel is dated and so was the room I got. Room was clean and decent. The hot breakfast was great and plentiful. A drawback for me was the noisy freeway. I got a room on the first floor facing Nimitz Highway, not so lucky me! You can hear the loud traffic and just about every noise on the freeway. The noise made for an unpleasant 1-night stay.

The hotel is right along the freeway and the traffic noise is excessive. Paired with uncomfortable beds and noisy air conditioner, this was not the place to stop for a night to get some sleep. While it was super convenient after arriving on a very long flight, I would not stay here again.

You may get a room without elevator access, this can be a pain if you have a lot of heavy luggage. Also, the water is really warm even on the coldest temperature setting. Other downside if the AC unit was really old, wasn’t on when we got to the room and took forever to cool the room. Was time to check out by the time the room got cool. Staff was friendly, hotel is extremely clean.

I was pretty disappointed with the check-in. My flight got in and I got to the hotel at about noon or a little after. Even though the room was ready, they wouldn’t let me go to the room until at least 2 PM unless, they said, I paid a $75 early fee. I don’t think I’ve ever had a charge for two hours early. Sometimes the room is not available, but in this case it clearly was. And so I was exhausted from travel so I gave her my card and the charge was not $75. It was $89. After already way over paying for the average hotel room that it is. I know this is Honolulu and prices are higher, but there was no need for that charge for two hours early. Especially since I checked out about six hours seven hours early the next day. For an airport hotel to do that with no leniency was pretty disappointing. I will likely not choose this hotel again for that reason. I get it that the counter staff are not the ones responsible, but this woman was not at all sympathetic or caring.

The night I check into the hotel I had already prepaid through a third party but front desk agent claim she didn’t see the reservation in the system. The agent and the one in the rear decided to input my information again causing me to be charged 3 times for the room and twice for the deposit. They refunded one charge and told me I have to wait for my bank and the process for it to return. Why not refund all my money when the manager also admitted it was an error on their part. Instead my money is held up do to their mistake. Nothing was offered to me as a frequent guest other than apology. After they refunded some of my money another charge was came back out. I now have to submit fraud charges because they were only supposed to take a $50 deposit.

Booked one room for our family and another for three students on a field trip. Informed the hotel of the three students’ names and arrival times and the hotel was unwilling to let the students in despite speaking with me on the phone and despite numerous invitations to read their communications from Expedia. Students had to sit in their dingy and over-air conditioned lobby for hours while the manager was “on lunch break.” The height of unprofessionalism. To boot, the hotel is located under a highway overpass. Feels like John Belushi’s apartment in Blues Brothers.

When we first arrived, the staff seemed irritated that we asked if we could check in early. When they said no, we then asked if there was any way they could hold our luggage for us which also seemed like an inconvenience. The beds were small but comfortable. The strangest thing to me was the grab and go breakfast which consisted of a bottle of water and an apple, neither of which could be taken through security at the airport and both had to be thrown away. What a waste! The shuttle to and from the airport was really nice and being able to call and have the shuttle there to pick us up was a definite perk.

We missed a flight and had to spend the night in Honolulu and that’s why we stayed. We were warned that the neighborhood wasn’t very nice. True but we felt safe. There was an airport van which was fantastic given we’d been traveling for 14 hours. The hotel interior is worn, towels very thin, but the shower clean. My biggest gripe is that after limited fast food dinner options, the so-called breakfast (“breakfast included”) was pathetic. We were told breakfast didn’t start till 7:00 which for an airport hotel is pretty poor. All it seemed was a way to eliminate feeding guests on early flights. The desk employees didn’t bother to tell us there was a bag breakfast available. When we found it on our own, we were given a paper bag with water, a tiny apple, and a granola bar. Overall a below average hotel, including for an airport hotel.

It is right under the expressway. Traffic noise is constant. We stayed here for the quick transfer to the airport in the morning. Unfortunately breakfast wasn't served until 7 am. We didn't even get a complimentary coffee. We had to leave at 6:30 am.
