Unlike the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali Maui, this Hyatt Regency in Waikiki is outdated. The rooms are old and the pool is extremely small like the size of 4 hot tubs put together. However, if you have to stay there the food at the restaurant are good and the close proximity to the beach, shopping, and tons more in Waikiki are just a few steps away.

Awesome property and extremely helpful staff. Had an amazing time. The room was very clean and kept clean during the visit. Location is amazingly convenient and takes 5 stars. Next to beach, amazing views and almost everything at walking distance. Loved the way they handled the Tsunami warning quickly preparing meals for all the guests!! Massive endeavor. Very well planned and communicated. Parking is the only challenge at this place. The parking gets full quickly and is a bit inconvenient even if you try to valet. While the staff is super helpful they can only do so much. The swimming pool could have been bigger.

There were repairs going on to lifts in one of the towers. No mention at check in and long waits for elevators at busy times. That being said they did try to make available some alternative lifts for a few floors. Rooms were generous and breakfast options adequate. Lots of shops nearby and close to beach and catamarans for bay tours.

The property is great overall. I wish they had a bigger pool like other hotels in the same area. Location is great which is cross street from the beach. It take 20 seconds to walk to the beach. There are plenty of food around. Police station is across the street, which is an additional benefit.

Room was big, view as outstanding. Great location and amenities, but valet and parking are a nightmare. Tried to call ahead to get my car out of valet. Got a voicemail saying they weren’t talking calls ahead. The attendant didn’t even take my valet ticket for 10 minutes as she was completely overwhelmed. Then it took nearly 30 minutes to get my car. They also pulled someone’s car up and then lost the keys. After finally getting my car I went to self park in the same lot, none of my room keys worked so I had to get a ticket. Days later when I went to pay the ticket wouldn’t read. Went to valet and they gave me a different ticket and charged parking to my room, but the ticket she gave me didn’t work. I had to hit the call button to finally be let out. Oh and they put a note on my car saying that my jeep was sticking out too far in the compact space which was the only space available on the 8th floor of the garage. The valet area isn’t big enough for this hotel so they are parking cars in the street. If you can Uber to this hotel or self park or plan to wait a long time to get your car from the valet.

Very spacious room and spacious bathroom. The bathroom had a bidet, which I absolutely loved! They came in every day and kept the rooms clean and kept us stocked up on towels very friendly lots of shopping. Very nice hotel.

This is the fourth time my family and I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. The first time, it was an amazing experience. I would recommended the hotel to all my family and friends when going to Oahu, especially the Waikiki area. But the second, third and fourth time (recent stay) the experience was lack luster and subpar. This hotel advertises as a 4 star hotel. But from my recent experience, I rate it a 1.5 star hotel. I reserved and paid for a full ocean view and received a partial view. All four elevators in the Ewa Tower were not functioning properly. My family and I waited about 20 minutes or more waiting for the elevator to take us down to the lobby. Then the valet service would estimate 20 minutes to retrieve your vehicle (that’s with calling ahead of time). Estimated time of getting my vehicle every time was 40 minutes or longer. The buffet in the hotel is not what it used to be either. I’d rather spend my money at Roys, Haleiwa Joe’s, Sansei or Morimotos The worse part is this hotel is infested with termites. Arrived back from a long day at the beach to return to your room with termites on the bed, bathroom and walls. We will definitely never stay ay this Hyatt Regency Waikiki Hotel again. Stay else where for the amount $$$ your paying. Total DISAPPOINTMENT in the hotel.

Hyatt Regency is in the perfect spot, right across the street from Waikiki Beach, around shopping, and lots of restaurants. The hotel was beautiful and kept clean. Cleaning services in the room was done daily (it has been since pre-covid that we stayed at a hotel with daily room cleaning), and the hotel was well maintained and clean. We had the city view and it was nice to look out at the moutains and city below. 10/10 enjoyed our week stay.

Overall the property was great. Our room was not clean, the bathroom was gross. Terrible parking garage. Amenities and all other aspects were wonderful. The rooms really need to be cleaned and updated to match the rest of the experience the property provides. AMAZING STAFF.

I love how clean everything was. Everywhere you step was nice and clean The rooms are well kept and all the linens are very clean. Staff was always friendly no matter where you found them around the hotel. They always ask if anything was needed I am so I love with Hawaii and from now on I won’t be staying elsewhere.

Walked in and smelled like someone had been cooking in the room. The bathroom smells of urine, the toilet has a bidet and every time you would flush the toilet it would smell like sewer. There is blood on the curtain which I told the housekeeper of all she just kept saying okay but never replaced it. There are stains on the curtain looking as if it rained in the room. One of the pillows still had makeup on it when we first came into the room. After seeing my previous review I did receive a call and some of the resort fees were waived and a credit towards valet parking was given. For this being a Hyatt it definitely does not live up to the name. Overall the hotel needs a lot of updates and cleaning, it's very used looking.

Staff was nice and friendly. Parking was $60 and there was never parking so we had to valet park $70 a night. The rooms were outdated and older. The pool was for like 10 people super tiny, but beautiful view. Had to kill a huge roach!

My family stayed in oceanfront rooms and the view was absolutely breathtaking. But you might want to bring your earplug, it is very loud at night as the room’s facing the street. The hotel is a bit dated but clean and the location is very convenient.

This hotel is right by the beach and near tons of shopping and dining options. You can walk to the zoo, too. The rooms are spacious and lots of amenities. Would recommend using the valet parking. We did the self parking and that parking garage is so tight! Kind of scary! We were in the 36th floor with a great view of the city and the ocean. The noise from the street was surprisingly loud on the 36th floor. If you are a light sleeper, it could be hard to sleep.

I was assigned room 2651 which happens to share a wall with the elevators. Every night of my stay I listened to the elevators going up and down. They are so noisy the first night of my stay I at first thought it was thunder. In addition across the street from my room they are constructing a new high rise. Imagine the joy of being woken up every morning at 6:00 AM to the sound of construction after listening to the elevator all night. I realize the Hyatt cannot control surrounding construction but the right thing to do is to notify potential guest so they can make an informed decision on accommodations. To be fair on cleanliness, housekeeping did a fantastic job. My complaint is the condition of the room itself. It definitely needs new paint. The condition of the furniture shows its age. This was my third trip to Hawaii, on my next trip Hyatt will not be my hotel of choice.

Concierge D Chen was very helpful with booking our excursions. Bartender Tony at the pool bar was awesome! All staff were super friendly & welcoming. When we 1st walked in our room the air freshener smell was amazing! Beautiful ocean view of Waikiki beach.

The hotel staffs were very friendly and accomodating, from the valet, bellman, to the front desk. We encountered an issue during the first night and was moved to a new room to resolved the issue after calling the front desk. We love the location of the hotel, there are many shops & restaurants within walking distance. We had a great stay and would stay here again.

Our trip to Waikiki was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to the incredible experience at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. I traveled with three young adults, and from start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Everyone we interacted with was warm, kind, and genuinely helpful. Their food recommendations were absolutely spot-on—some of the best meals we’ve had in Hawaii! The location couldn’t be better. The beach is literally right across the street, and my 17-year-old and I went swimming every morning at sunrise. It was such a peaceful and beautiful way to start the day. The rooms were super clean, spacious, and surprisingly quiet—even being right in the middle of Waikiki! This was my first time staying at this hotel (even though I’ve been to Waikiki many times), and I can honestly say it will not be my last. Hyatt Regency has become my new go-to. If you’re looking for a mix of convenience, comfort, and true aloha spirit—this is the place. Highly recommend!

Really great location. Uber rides to Pearl Harbor and else were inexpensive. Many walking distance attractions. Only problem I had was many hotel buildings being renovated very close. So you could hear loud noise early on.

My room was ocean front and it was nothing but beautiful. Uber from airport to the hotel was 77$ so plan accordingly. The beach is right across from the hotel, you can rent umbrella and chairs, 4 hours costed 60$. Or you can bring your own. Upon checking out, there will be resort charges, mine was 200$ in addition to whatever your stay costed. Open buffet costed 82$ per person for dinner wasn’t worth it. Poor variety of foods and drinks are not included. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

I was ok paying $60 a night for parking in a cramped, narrow structure across the street from the hotel but after the first night NO parking was available. The only option was waiting in a line down the block for possible valet parking to open up. The front of the hotel was so clogged with cars and so far from the second floor registration that dropping off luggage or family members was impossible. Elevators were so slow and inadequate for the number of guests that we would wait in line just to board the elevator to our room each time. Food at the hotel restaurant, Swim, was disgusting but we expected as much based on the reviews. Room was adequate but noisy from the bar across the street. I don’t recommend staying here and will reconsider patronizing Hyatt in the future.

My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary and stayed for 10 nights. The resort was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the Shor Restaurant Breakfast Buffet. The restaurant staff was very friendly. We were a little disappointed that they didn't have room service. The International Market Place is about 3 blocks from the hotel with several restaurants. On the other side of the road about 2 blocks away is another shopping center with a theater. I highly recommend the Rock a Hula buffet dinner and show. Also be sure to see the Magical Mystery and Comedy Show at the Hilton. I will definitely be back in the future.

This property has perks and not so many perks , for explample between resort fees and other fees it’s an additional $100 per Night . We paid over $500 per night. Con very full and they won’t give u the room unit 3pm : had to speak to a manage to get my room 1 hr before . Pro excellent customer service with exceptional house keeping . The rooms are big pay more for ocean front or view well worth it . Tip DO NOT in the buffet horible old fruit and old pastries. The Beach u need to cross the street to access not great . Drink expensive and food too. Loved the free beach bag and 2 water bottles for the beach . The picture inclosed is the view of my room fabulous!!!

The hotel was beautiful with its waterfalls and open air! The drawbacks include the noise audible in the rooms, especially from the street with many loud motorcycles and cars pass by at all hours of the day and night. The town as a whole did not feel like we were in Hawaii, more so like ghetto south beach Miami. Food as a whole was not good, the Hyatt Buffett basically consisted of what you see on the picture, crab legs fried rice and prime rib, dessert was about 4 things so no variety an for $90 a person def not worth it. We were there for a once in a lifetime honeymoon trip, therefore we are trying to share helpful information, not say negative things about the hotel

This hotel was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and very convenient. All staff we engaged with were friendly and accommodating. I liked the availability of shops inside the hotel grounds.
