Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis

Hilton Garden Inn has always represented facilities a cut above the competition. Unfortunately, this one disappoints. Outside sitting area featured ripped and dirty cushions and a broken table. Restaurant and bar closed with no good options within walking distance. Pool closed with seating stowed away. Website should have made this clear.

The property is what you’d expect from a HGI, but it seemed overpriced, and what appeared to be a free buffet actually cost $10 per person. The signage for the breakfast should have been prominently placed before you entered the buffet area. Although it’s in a suburban area with plentiful parking, there are signs posted that parking is $8. For the location and cost of the hotel, I’d expect both breakfast and parking to be included. When I checked out, staff wouldn’t give me a printed invoice, despite my request.

Clean. Free parking. Nice pool. 10 mins from Annapolis.

The property was easy to access off of the highway. The hot tub was closed but not a deal breaker. The hallway carpets need a steam cleaning. The main lobby was fairly clean.

Ridiculous that you have to pay for parking in a near suburban setting. Shameless money grab. Just include it in the price instead of surprising your guests on arrival.

Outdoor parking was not free, and the charge was $8/day.

So nice for being a nice weekend getaway for me and my girlfriend, wish the pool was open for longer but still had a good time.

The 2 rooms i booked WERE NOT CLEAN! The beds were not changed, crumbs in beds, floors not vacuumed. Worse conditions that I have ever had. Neighbors above us extremely noisy and had to ask for them to quiet down. That was a mistake, noise got worse. Someone needs to look into the cleanliness of this establishment.

It was a very very dated property, the bathroom smelled like mildew, the carpet was worn, you could hear the other rooms plumbing when they used water. I will not stay again I paid too much even with my $94.00 off

Room was not as clean as expected. Floors, bathroom door were noticibly dirty.

Staff= Fantastic. Friendly. Helpful. Bathroom= Spotless. Well appointed. Very hot water. Strong shower water pressure. Bed= HORRIBLE!!! Felt like it had a cross of 2X4 wood posts under the mattress. Even my husband who can sleep on a bare tiled floor said it was awful. One of the pillow cases smelled like cheap aftershave lotion which made us cringe. Dust bunnies on the phone cord and GARBAGE behind the night stand. We had other family members stay at this same hotel and they were in different rooms. They said their beds were VERY COMFORTABLE.

Shower curtain was filthy created an awful odor, small refrigerator smelled like fish, filthy under the beds with trash leftover from previous visits.

Clean and comfortable

The hotel was very clean and well-kept. The only complaint we had was that the mattress in our room was very broken down and one side of it completely sagged.

TV was entirely to small to see when laying in the bed.

It was very noisy and we had a hard time sleeping. I did tell the front desk that a guy was in the hall wearing just his underwear 3 different times. Only 1 elevator was working. We were disappointed in our stay there.

Spacious room

Like the hotel overall. The room smelled great when walking in and room was clean. Now it had a small tv that wasn't a smart tv , low bed, no complementary breakfast, no plush covers.

Older building, ac didn’t cool properly, beds and pillows were not comfortable.

Unable to find a representative at front desk to check-in. Called desk several times and no one came out of the office. Waited at least an hour and then called the downtown branch and Expedia to try a locate anybody. No help from either. Either they left the building during duty or sleep somewhere. Absolutely terrible experience!!!!

The checkin process went fine. Then the next day I spilled something on the sheets. I requested housekeeping 3 times from 3 different people at different times because they never came. I then went to the front desk to complain but then I was given sheets and had to make my own bed. So basically they don't have housekeeping unless you're checking out. How could you charge $440 for the weekend without housekeeping services. I will never stay at another hilton again. I will also advise my friends and family to stay far AWAY!!!

I loved the convenience and ease of checking in. The front desk clerks could be more professional. At one point, there were customers in line to check in, but the desk clerk was nowhere to be found. It would’ve been nice to have a welcome cup of coffee upon arrival. When did pancakes become a commodity for breakfast? The carpet in the hallway was gross and could be updated. The bed linen was not the best either. We had a place to put our heads and bodies; for that we were thankful. Would I stay at this location again? Probably not.

Accomodations were great, staff was nice enough to check me in early than advertised after a long road trip. Staff was excellent to deal with.

I had a terrible check in experience with Tatiana (who had a nasty attitude) at my check-in; also, proceeds to give me wrong information & Did not want to help or accommodate the issues she gave me while I was just checking in. I grabbed the GM card info & I will be speaking with her soon about this matter beside it left a very distasteful feeling with me regarding my stay! I love the Hilton and i go there a lot but this experience wasn’t a great one & i hope she had a better attitude dealing with customers face to face

I have to say that I would have never imagined that a Hilton property could be so mismanaged. Before I get into the details of our horrible experience, I do want to take time to thank Derrick at the front desk. His service was 5 stars whenever we had to get his help. Our room was a two-room suite with a separate bedroom. The format of the room was nice because it had 2 bathrooms and a nice sized living area. That is where the good ends. We had a 5 day reservation and in those 5 days, our bed was never made, our sheets were never changed. and we had to ask twice to get towels. During our 5 day stay, we had to get new keys a total of 9 times, consisting of 18 different keys. That is no exaggeration. As a matter of fact, that number may be on the low side. Our keys were always failing to the point where Derrick had to come up with his pass key to get us in our room several times. On one occasion, I had been to the front desk twice for new keys while my wife waited in the hallway for me by the room. Our main bathroom was very roomy but the shower looked awful. Missing grout and mold on the lower 2 tiers of tiles. Our trash was never emptied until I threatened to put it out in the hallway. Lastly, I had to search to find a working ice machine. The ice machine on the second floor was out of order during our stay. At $250/night I was robbed. In the next 4 yrs, I will be going back but not to this property - ever!

Overall, stay was fine, but front desk clerk was rude, disrespectful and dismissive when reported children yelling and running wild through the building. I called to Hilton HHonors as no manager was available. Manager never returned the call after 3 additional days. Each elevator has signage stating “Our goal is to make your stay better and brighter. If something isn't just the way you like it, simply let any hotel team member know, and we will make it right. Guaranteed.“ This is simply NOT the philosophy at the HGI of Annapolis and obviously the management isn’t concerned about the “Guarantee.”

Such friendly staff

The whole thing was a disaster. I got to my room. The maid came in that next day. Wanted to know if she could clean, but I was getting ready to go so I said no she never came back. They were supposed to make a 4 o’clock wake up call, which I reminded them of twice, which they didn’t make so I missed my flight. I had to go downstairs to make new reservations I made when I got to the airport. They didn’t have reservations. I can tell you I will never, and I may never use your hotel again.

It was a nice place to stay. Really close to everything.

Early check in was available. Smooth check-in. Close to everything.

This alocation is convenient for geeting in and out of annapolis and enjying the Matryland Ren Faire. PLenty of nearby dining options are available

Staff was very confused on breakfast trying to charge when we had pay on reservation. During checking I confirmed about the breakfast because of past experience. Took about 20 min on breakfast to figure out that we didn’t have to pay it. Shower curtains were so duty making the bathroom smell dirty.

The "restaurant" and "bar" doesn't exist. The only option is coming downstairs during breakfast time where you get charged for a regular continental breakfast by item. There is no restaurant location it is just the lobby. I booked this location thinking we would have an option for a quick dinner and be able to go to the bar for some drinks. Look for other options if that's your plan. If you just want somewhere clean to sleep, this works!

We were very happy with our stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly. We opted for the breakfast package. The hot buffet was fresh and plentiful. Great choices. Great coffee.

The hotel is older, but the room was clean and did not have the awful chemical clean smell we so often experience. The front desk staff were very helpful throughout our stay. And they do not charge for parking which seems to be the latest way hotels are trying to soak their guests for additional monies. My biggest beef was the "restaurant". Located in the lobby, you feel like you are doing exactly that. Eating in the middle of the lobby. Much could be done to improve the lack of ambiance. We had looked at the menu on line, but when we were ready to order after sitting down, none of the items were available. We settled for an order of wings, which were ok. My husband ordered a gin drink which was in an 8 oz rocks glass. He said it was good, and decided to have another. We were stunned when we got the bill to find the drinks were $18.00 each. Ridiculous overpricing. We didn't think it would be necessary to check on the price of a well liquor libation. Bad form. In conclusion, we would definitely stay there again, but will definitely not utilize the restaurant.

He breakfast offering was not very good especially for the price.

The hotel is fine, I just didn't like the breakfast.
