Nice & clean hotel with good facilities, although my small room had no bed-side light or any alternative to the very bright ceiling lights and nowhere to put any luggage (other than a pole sticking out of the wall). They were pretty busy (clearly unusually so) so getting service in the bar was challenging…waited ages to be seated & order a drink. Big sign outside saying order at the bar, but barman told me it was table service (which never happened)…the waitress who came to clear some plates told me to order at the bar. She reluctantly took an order (1 pudding & 1 drink), which never arrived…had to go back to the bar to order (who told me it was table service - but I explained that was not happening). Then at breakfast I had to ask a few times for another slice of toast. Perhaps I am being too harsh, just left me with a diminished experience. To be fair, it was mid summer holidays and they were fully booked…

Nice restaurant in the evening. Breakfast a little bit disappointing in that it took ages to arrive and was cold when we got it. It wasn’t as if the breakfast area was busy, we were one of about 3 or 4 tables. Free Parking is a walk away from the hotel up an incline. Might be tricky for people with a disability. Also not great if it’s raining!

A very nice hotel with lots of character and quirky features. It is ideally located next to the gorge walk and has a few tables outside on the pavement to make the most of the views. We had a room at the top of the hotel with a comfy large bed and lovely bathroom. The staff are young and enthusiastic but lack leadership as witnessed in the dining room. They were disorganised and seemed rather lost. The food at dinner was fairly average but perfectly acceptable.
