Very disappointed. Reserved a room with a king bed. Paid in full in advance. When I checked in I was given a room with two queen beds and was told that was what I had reserved. The first untruth. When I showed them my reservation, I was told they had given that room to someone else and that this is all they had. They then told me they had tried to contact me to let me know this. The second untruth. The room was a basic hotel room and nothing fancy. Yes, I booked at a very busy time (State Fair), but given the price I paid, I expected either a room I paid for or better service and got neither.

When we arrived (after the check in time) our room was ready. Had to remind them i needed an accessible room (even though it was on the reservation). After about a 15 minute wait we were able to check in. A sign on the check in desk indicated the poor was not operable and wouldn't be for some undesignate length of time (pet peave of mine that I reserve hotels partially based on there being a pool and when there isn't one available as listed there is no reduction of room rate). As we prepare to go to bed we pulled back the covers and found that the fitted sheet covering the mattress was a full-sized fitted sheet and not the required queen size fitted sheet. Since it was now 10pm and no housekeeping staff was on site, we just went to bed. Upon our check out I told the desk clerk about the sheet and she looked at me with a blank stare and said, "Oh." I told her it made for a VERY uncomfortable night's rest. Her only reply, was that she would tell the housekeeping supervisor. Again, no offer offer of anything (free breakfast, reduction of fee). Throughout the hotel they had signs announcing a PROMISE: "We promise to do whatever it takes to ensure you're satisfied," NOT a very satisfied customer.

Nice stay - Rooms and staff were great. Skip the breakfast... It is not worth paying for, especially that much.

We always love staying at Hilton and the Hilton Garden Inn but this was the 1st one that we were unhappy with especially the age or the lack of updating to the rooms & hall ways. Carpets looked terrible & hallways had all loose carpets, old tubs no walk in shower even in a handicap room & the TV was so small not what they normally have and bad signal. The staff was nice but was working with a not so happy customer at time of check-in so we weren't told byt had to figure out things ourself
