The market town of Knighton provides a great holiday base, offering a diverse range of shops including a supermarket, a butcher and a farm shop, offering seasonal produce and a range of homemade goods. Those looking to get their steps in will have no trouble exploring the various walking paths in the area, including the Offa's Dyke path and Owain Glyndwr's Way, or head across the road to explore Kinsley Wood. Cyclists can join the 84-mile-long Radnor Ring Cycling Route which passes Myrtle Villa. Knighton station on the Heart of Wales is a short walk away with a regular train service heading towards the historic Shrewsbury or through Llandrindod Wells. Elsewhere in the region, the National Trust property of Powis Castle with its celebrated gardens and the medieval town of Ludlow, with its 13th century castle, are well worth a visit.
