This basement apartment is located below a family residence but has a private entrance and you woukd almost never hear the folks above. The unit is very comfortable and exceedingly well-located. It's a 5-15 minute walk up the hill to great dining, coffee, some fun boutique shops, a Safeway and a Trader Joes. Surprisingly easy to grt ijto and out of the neighborhood and street parking was never a problem. The deck was a nice place to sit in the dun and read, but shared with the owner so I woukd temper expectations for fire pit usage. Our contact for the property was very responsive via text the morning of our arrival and was kind enough to accommodate an early check in for us. The only small drawback was sone less-than-intuitive electric outlet locations and wonky light switches, but we would definitely stay here again when we are back in the area!

The location couldn't have been better, as it was safe and very walkable to the Queen Anne cafes/shops. I ended up staying by myself, yet I felt completely safe in this rental. The manager was friendly, responsive, and respectful, and he took my feedback enthusiastically when I made a couple suggestions for increased privacy (i.e. adding window covering to bathroom because it is just fogged glass, adjusting center beam on bed because it slips positioning). The place was clean and only had one entrance (i.e. completely separate from the main house) which is what I wanted. It was just the right size for me to have a separate sleep area from the main living area but still cozy. I recommend having a brief explanation of the gate in the check-in notes because it took me a couple minutes to figure out how to operate the latch system (which is simple once you realize how it works). I was so happy with my stay overall and would definitely return!
