I was hoping that the lower/average ratings were exaggerated. They were not. The staff at check-in were lovely. The hotel is very old, which wouldn’t be a problem if it was maintained, it is not. The card key system is not reliable, sometimes it opens the first time, many times it does not. The bathroom is in beyond desperate need of even basic maintenance. Tub faucet is leaking, all fixtures are old and stained. The toilet makes an on and off flushing sound every time it’s flushed, for 5-6 minutes. And the worst part is a moldy water-saturated ceiling tile. So far, the bed seems fairly comfortable and the linens smell clean. With no workout facility, not even a stationary bike, it’s really more of a motel than hotel. Disappointing, but with literally no other options for family weekend at UD, you get what you pay for.

A woman was screaming 2 doors down in the middle of the night, the police came for domestic violence, another guest was waving 2 guns at people and the police had to be called the same night, then the fire alarm went off at 7 am. The ceiling in the bathroom was leaking water the entire stay as well. The outside door which is supposed to need a key card to get in to the building was also broken and anyone can walk into the building. The parking lot is filthy and full of trash, the bathroom door is rusty in the room. The owners are letting the place fall down around them.

Check in girls are lovely but the facilities are trashed. Signs say they have security but outside doors don’t actually lock. Hotel room door and balcony door didn’t lock either - used the slide lock only on the door and risked leaving stuff in the room. Balcony door has a bar for security. Comforters and drapes have stains and cigarette burns!

TV wouldn't work. Guys came after about a half-hour and replaced the box. TV came on, channel wouldn't change and then disconnected completely. Beds roll all over the floor. Only working ice machine was on opposite side of facility, only accessible by wapkong outside around the building

I decided to go with a jacuzzi tub room for a little extra and I'm not disappointed I did. The place needs some major updates done, the jacuzzi in the room had 2 broken knobs but still worked lol. The bathroom sink, tub, EVERYTHING was PAINTED white. I know this seems like some negative things i just want you to be aware what you're getting into lol. Its a decent little place for a decent price. I actually enjoyed our stay.

Well let’s start off by the 1st room I had the jacuzzi tub didn’t have a plug. The tile was falling off. The 2 room the jacuzzi jet didn’t work and that why I wanted that type of room. The phone didn’t work for me to call the front desk. I just said forget it. I was only there for 1night.

This was not a good hotel, the hotel on the outside that you can see from the road it looks fine. The hallways smell like pot, the rooms are not only outdated but not clean, water stains on the ceilings, show ceiling fall apart, stains on the chair the room, broken arm rest of the desk chair, hair in the bathtub, mattress so soft. They have security in the parking lot at dusk to watch the cars. Since it is a pet friendly hotel, there is dog poop all over the grass, the hotel provides plastic bags Conveniently placed, but the guests are not using them and the hotel staff is not cleaning it up. There was a random hotel laundry basket with wheels outside the property. The staff was nice and friendly.

I checked out immediately after going to the room. I always check under the mattress as soon as I get into a hotel room, and this time I found a dead bed bug. I went straight to the front desk, told them about it and thankfully they gave me a full refund. There was also an overwhelming smell of marijuana in the hallway whenever I entered the building.

Found bugs in out bed. When we complained they asked for a picture of it and we didn’t have one. They did accommodate us with a new room, but that room had dead cockroaches on the fridge. We took a picture and told the front desk and were told we had to call the general manager.

The service was really good, however, the rooms were very smelly, not cleaned, sticky floors and tables, roaches in bathroom, cigarettes burns in sheets. Would not recommend.

It was a little nicer than expected (especially since the carpeting was replaced with a vinyl wood floor). It was clean, but various things were broken. The bathroom door didn’t close or lock. The bathroom fan wasn’t working. The remote needed batteries. The front desk staff were helpful.

The staff were friendly and helpful every time I went in the main office. 2 times my door key stopped working but it may have been do to magnet on my phone The outside of the facility could use a serious update. There were some rooms that looked like people were living there as I saw clothing hanging to dry on balconies. There was quite a few people kind of wondering aeound looking a little suspicious and a lot of weed smell in the air. At one point there were cops that seemed to be looking for someone. The view is of a highway being renovated. Other than that, the room i was in was not bed. With a nice bed and was cleaned well. The shower was nice and hot. They have a coffee maker, microwave, and fridge in the room with a bit of office like space/desk top area.

Staff is pleasant and helpful. Room ceiling was gross and falling down. Bathroom was dirty, and had pink hair on the counter. I have brown hair. Outside there were patrons smoking cigarettes and staring as you as you walked into the building.

Overall the property was on the shabby side. Dated carpets in the halls smelled of age that the humidity was making worse. Chips and scratches in the bathroom had been painted over, including the chrome of the drain. Toilet seat missing wing nut on one side. On the good side, the room was clean, which some other reviews had really hammered them on. No bugs, clean linens, no mold. So not a disaster, but not a place I would want to stay for more than the one night I was there

I have been using this hotel for when I have conferences however this was a really bad experience. I get to desk stood for a long time waiting to check in the desk lady was on her phone. Then when I got in that late night from the conference the air conditioner did not work and neither did the toilet flush. The sink was clogged and the ceiling was linking and had mold with flare up my asthma

Staff was amazing, very friendly and eager to please. The hotel is tired and outdated, but extremely clean. Beds and bedding were new and very comfortable. Bathrooms were old, but very clean. Great for the price point. I’d stay there again!

Our first room had a broken towel holder in the bathroom. Reported it and nothing happened. The first room the bed was broken as well and they said they would fix it, you can’t fix a bed that is worn out that your sleeping in a hammock. Moved to another room which was better but it took me insisting on a new room to be moved. Horrible customer service.

The beds bring comfortable was the only good thing about the stay. Construction started at 7 am outside (on the road directly in front of the property. The bathroom in our room was the least appealing part. Stained sink/ countertop, shower handle fell off trying to turn it on. Water came out either piercing hot or cold.

The building was so dirty and the room and common areas smelled of cigarette smoke. The rooms all have sliding glass doors to the outside that did not seem secure. Anyone off the street can access the common areas and hallways too. The hotel is dirty and questionably unsafe.

We needed a place to stay for a lacrosse tournament and I waited too long, most were either full or way overpriced. I paid a fair rate here, and honestly the staff was nice when I spoke to them, and my room was really big and clean. Bed was newer and comfortable, building is definitely old, bathroom sink/tub are well past in need of replacement and someone in the past took some aggression out on the wall. The hotel was close to UD campus which was nice, hard to get into with the road construction but that’s not their fault. If you’ve stayed at cheaper places before, you know what you’re getting. People definitely live here…but I had a comfy, clean bed for a good price. It did the job.

First of all, my TV had no remote, the sliding doors for the porch would not lock. I had to sleep with the door open all night, there were two people at the desk and they said they cannot leave the front desk. I have to wait till the morning. It was a horrible state. I do not recommend this hotel.
