Very tiny rooms, nothing special and for the price and reputation of the brand, very disappointing. No access to the pool or facilities without a crazy additional cost and the restaurant was one of the most expensive on the Island.

Excellent location and great property. The rooms were big and clean and can easily accommodate a family of four or five. Location is easily commutable with bus stop right on the property. Property also had car charging for anyone driving an electric vehicle.

I do not recommend booking here over a weekend, it is clear that parking is insufficient. One of the reasons I booked this location was for the peace of mind of free onsite parking. I spent 30min circling the entire block trying to find a parking spot at 8:00 PM this Fri 11/28. When I couldn’t find anything I parked out front (where taxi’s usually wait) to ask the front desk staff for assistance. I was met with barely any apology and told to park out by the grocery stores. These spots were also already full so I ended up parking on the street a block away. This meant having to carry all my hiking gear much further than anticipated. I am checking out tomorrow which means either I stay up later than planned to try to get a parking space in order to avoid having to carry all my luggage to the car parked a block away now or I end up having to carry all my luggage a block away in the morning. I am disappointed with the way staff barely acknowledged this inconvenience. I was planning to pay for the breakfast buffet in the morning but now feel it best to spend my time and money enjoying breakfast elsewhere.

Nice hotel - but we would have preferred to stay more down by the river. Also they advertise the hot tub on the site and show pictures but you have to pay to use it. There lots of extra charges they do not tel you about.

Overall, we had an excellent stay here. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There are decent options for breakfast, but after the 3rd day, it can get a bit monotonous (a couple of different food themes for breakfast would be nice). Has a great view--if you get a room facing the front of the hotel. The gym is FANTASTIC, and the hotel's location is within walking distance to a pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, and downtown Reykjavik.

Not so good. The spa was dirty, old, and overpriced. Rooms didn’t feel like a 4 star. Would definitely not recommend.

Very comfortable stay - rooms are clean and well maintained. Quite convenient too - we did a fair number of tours and all had a direct pick up at the hotel. Good breakfast spread too. Only dampener was that this hotel seems to be very popular for conferences/events- hence the lobby area was always noisy.

Excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked the VOX bar and good cocktails. No problem storing luggage.

Our room was never cleaned properly. There was dust on top of the little table by the window and the old furniture inside the room should have been replaced long ago. We didn't sit on due to dirtiness.

Due to a strike of the cleaning people service was very poor.

I’m a frequent travel of Hilton properties and I will say I was very disappointed in this property. The room lacked cleanliness. You could see hand prints on the mirror & facial mirrors. The kleenex boxes were hanging off the walls, hair was left in the sink & drains, and the toilet had marks inside of the bowl.

Breakfast was brilliant. Very comfortable and spacious room. Cleanliness was great too.

Easy access to highways for airport and Highway 1. Stayed one night in the King Suite: room was very clean, and bed plus pillows were luxurious. Enjoyed the soaking tub after a long day. Reception and restaurant staff were professional and helpful. Highly recommend.

There was a 2 foot diameter support pole within a foot of the bed.

Poor value for money, cramped rooms

although this current hotel charges 600 and above for our room, I would say the room is subpar at best. The mattress in the rooms is of poor quality, no back support. The bathroom are clean but the tiles in the bathroom give the appearance of a 2 star hotel. The room was loud, located on a busy road and a lot of noise comes into the room. There no a/c in the room and no airflow at all. to get airflow you have to open the windows and then it gets even more louder. The entrance and the initial foyer and reception area is very pleasant and give appearance of a nice hotel but rooms clearly lack those. I would call it more like a motel at best when it comes to the rooms. The staff was not helpful when any concerns were raised.

When we arrived we had light bulbs out in the room and couldn’t get any one until the next day. The room was extremely hot even with the windows open. That’s goodness our wonderful housekeeper retrieved a fan for us.

Very nice overall! Great breakfast layout! Only issue we had was trying to cool the room. Even with the window open and heating turned off, we couldn’t cool the room enough.

Room was very clean and bed/pillows were comfortable. The only downside to this hotel and I am taking a star away because of it was the toilet/shower layout. There had to have been a better way to design that area. If I used the shower, my husband had to step into a pool of water if he wanted to use the toilet and vice versa.

The view from our ocean view room was magnificent. Worth the extra charge every day. We watched the sunset every night (late at night!) Room was very comfortable. The first room we were in had a fridge that didn't get cold enough, so we asked for a better fridge and they changed our room. It worked out well.

Spacious rooms and clean

We paid enough for this room for about five hotel stays in the US. The room was small, and had no temperature control. I missed in the description that it only had heat, as that is not an issue in the US. There was a window open, but none of the cool air from outside came in. There was what seemed like AC or climate control in the hallways and lobby. It was 10°-15° warmer in our room than either of them. We spent the last couple hours of our stay in the lobby it was so uncomfortable in our room. We came from 90° heat at home to 55° outside here, and we were still very warm and uncomfortable in our room. The bed was pretty decent, and the pillows weren't terrible. The shower was decent...if you are older...you might have an issue getting in and out, as the tub is really tall. We managed, but that is what I thought when I was in the shower. There was a mini fridge that we utilized for medicine, so that was nice. We used the restaurant in the hotel. We ate Sunday brunch, dinner, and breakfast the following morning. All decent meals, but very pricey!! $40 usd-$60 usd per person. I am not sure about our dinner, it may have been more that that. The receipts don't convert to USD. We walked around outside for a bit. Seemed like a safe neighborhood. The US embassy was right across the road. The lobby was very nice. The staff was very friendly. We probably should of said something about the room temperature, but I didn't want to be a pain. We made it work.

As soon as we checked in we were very disappointed. We had visited this hotel in 2020. The staff was friendly then. The hotel recepción this time forget she was in customer service and down to. Their service was very poor. While waiting at the reception i was told you have to move. Not everyone at this hotel was rude just the mánager and front desk person.

The Staff :) the front desk, the cleaning staff, the servers, all wonderful people who genuinely made me feel welcome. To me a bed is a bed, so not much to say there that would be helpful; however I asked for extra pillows and a duvet which was no problem and brought right away.

The staff at reception at check out was very rude. Asked for my receipt and was told he could not supply a receipt which is very unusual - was very patronising and rude

This is not a four star accommodation, carpets worn and rippled, tv not working and no repair available, I witnessed one of the reception staff berating a customer and telling him they were too busy to bring him a second toothbrush for the other person in his room.

Chose this location for convenience and excursion pickup. Staff knew it would be a busy day with a couple of cruise ships arriving and departing and they handled it well. Wonderfully helpful staff. The restaurant was nice for dinner, attentive wait staff.

The front desk staff really spoilt the stay for us. Unwelcoming, wrong information and even gave the wrong rooms to us. Eventually my boss had the single bed room and I had the double room. Only found out during breakfast the next morning. Terrible when I specifically asked her if the rooms are different and she replied no they are the same.

Only complaint was that they made us wait until EXACTLY 3pm to check in.

Nice hotel, location is far from main area of town and there is not convenient public transit, and it’s a 30-40 minute walk. Good if you want quiet and be away from the busy areas. Not ideal if you want to be near sightseeing and all the restaurants downtown. Simple airport transfer you can buy for extra.

Nice lobby. No Hilton Honors gold privileges recognized because I booked through Expedia. The room was very warm even though it was relatively cool outside. The room itself was kind of sparse. Hotel location is far from city centre, it's more ideally located if you're driving out of the city.

The room was bright and clean, the hotel situated at the Main Street, bus stop just a few minutes each way, very convenient to go in the town centre which take about 6-10 minutes. Alternatively about 20 minutes to walk into the centre which I did, just follow the Main Street and very safe too.

Easy access (if you drive) to downtown areas and major tourist sites eg: Golden Circle , Blue Lagoon etc.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot even though we really only slept here. Most travel guides will pick you up from this hotel too which made it super convenient. When we wanted to go into Reykjavik center, we just took a taxi. However, it is walkable as well (about 20-25 minute walk).

Small rooms, but clean and efficient. Let us check in early. Walking distance to a grocery store and several great places to eat. About a mile walk to downtown. Tours pick up right in front of hotel, and last to pick up and first to drop off.

Had a wonderful stay here. Staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful, especially the breakfast and Executive lounge staff. Only negativity was the limited variation in the daily breakfast menu and limited choice for vegetarians. Otherwise all good

Our stay here was lovely. Great staff and service. Our favourite part was the restaurant. We had half board and the breakfast and evening meals were incredible. Amazing food and service. There was a woman in particular. Long blonde hair tied back and she was so helpful and great. Would highly recommend

I paid almost 500$ for seven breakfast and it was the same thing every day and their selection was horrible the only good thing about the breakfast was the cappuccino

Excellent option in the capita.. Amazing breakfast and staff is great. In my opinion, the kitchen close to early in the night for a hotel in this category. Could be crowded on weekends. It is 20 min walk from downtown, easy parking and buses to the airport can pick up and drop you off in the hotel. Rooms are big, clean and confortable. The views are amazing too.

Good stay overall. Clean and spacious rooms for this area. My room was warm even with the heat completely shut off I kept the window open 24/7. Bar service was unfriendly and horribly expensive. Dining/ coffee shop access almost disappeared in this section of town in the weekend.
