Hotel Don Miguel

Fantastic two night stay to visit Ronda . Traditional Spanish style hotel and while it probably doesn’t warrant 4* rating due to being a little tired in parts it’s certainly an excellent choice . Beds were very comfortable with extra pillows available. Lovely bathroom newly refurbished. No tea / coffee making facilities but cafe / restaurant on site . Breakfast was quite basic and expensive at 16€ per person but within 5 minutes there are cafes etc . The main attraction of the hotel are the views of the gorge and the puente Nuevo . Easy walking distance to the main attractions with plenty of bars and restaurants for food . Room 208 was quite spacious with a little balcony overlooking the bridge and gorge . Staff very friendly and helpful. Great advantage was being able to pull up outside the hotel and the staff valet park the car . Good service @ 18€ per night . Will definitely visit again. After reading many negative reviews of the hotel I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. I’m not fussy but like clean and comfortable and this was certainly that x

This hotel is perfectly situated by the new bridge in the center of town, and even though we had a room in an adjoining building in a side street, it is very close to everything. However, parking is a disaster, and the hotel does not offer any, despite this being written in the add at the website, which needs to be removed. No parking possible in the streets either as everything is full morning , midday and night as well. So the only option is to use one of the parking houses in the city, we used the Socorro parking, which is about 400 meter from the hotel, and you have to pay for this, which is expensive, we paid 30 euro for 2 days. Check-in was bad, no service at all and only spanish spoken, but the check out was better, as the young man spoke english, which must be a minimum in a so touristy town as Ronda...

We parked in the 10 minute drop off and checked in smoothly where staff parked our car for us in the local covered car park (18 euros extra). Our room had a spectacular view over the gorge and bridge, however we had paid for this privilege (an extra circa £20). Location very convenient for all old town sites.

Situated right next to the bridge in Ronda. Secure parking for a small charge per day, on site cafe and restaurant with stunning views of the gorge. Staff very helpful and polite.

Die Unterkunft liegt wirklich direkt im Zentrum von Ronda direkt an der berühmten Puente Nuevo. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als Parkplatz gibt es eine bewachte Garage für 18€ pro Tag. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und direktem Blick auf die Puente Nuevo, sehr zu empfehlen. Alles in allem ein super Hotel um Ronda zu erkunden.

The hotel was basically fine, and you shouldn't hesitate to stay there. The view (especially if you can get a room with a view of the bridge) and the location make it worth it, and the restaurant was a pleasure. BUT: we chose the hotel in part because it was advertised as having parking, when in reality it only has very few spaces (especially relative to the much larger number of hotel rooms), all of which fill up early. The "parking available" line seems deeply misleading. We had to park in a public lot far from the hotel. In addition, the room was a bit spartan, and the bathroom, while fine, had a lot of someone else's hair in it. So just know what you're getting into, or get there early in the hopes that there will still be parking on-site.

You cannot beat the location or the views. Rooms described with a terrace are a full balcony and rooms with a “balcony” are a French balcony. They have an additional building that does not offer views of the gorge, I was in one of those with a terrace and it was lovely. Spectacular sunrise view! Within 30 seconds of leaving your room, you can see views of the gorge in every direction. The room is very basic, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. There is no coffee in the room or refrigerator. I would suggest bringing an aero press and a way to heat water so you can make your own coffee - nothing opens until 8:30 am or later! As soon as you cross the bridge, you have to pull into the two spaces available in front of the hotel. If those are full turn right immediately and the garage is down about 50 m on your left. The breakfast is not worth €19 but their terraced view seating probably is. Enjoy!

Great Location. Smelly Rooms. Terrible Service. The only plus I found to this property is that it is in a great location and very convenient to the bridge and bullring. The bathroom in our room smelled like sewage for the duration of our stay. During our first day I spoke to the front desk staff and let him know we would be leaving on the very early train and asked how we go about getting a taxi that early and he said there would be someone at the desk at that time who would call for us. The person at the desk when we left was rude, unhelpful, and just kept shrugging his shoulders at us when we asked, said he didn’t know the number. We ended up walking to the train station with our luggage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property! The gentleman who checked us in was lovely. The room had a window which opened onto the most stunning view of the ravine. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ronda

El hotel bastante bien, excepto q los días que estuve allí, había un olor muy desagradanle en el baño, olía a sumidero, a alcantarilla y el olor entraba en la habitación. Tuve q comprar un ambientador para mitigar el olor.

古いけれども絶景が楽しめるホテルです。空調もしっかりしていて、ぐっすり眠ることができました。シャワーも十分な水圧があり、施設も新しかったです。

El hotel está muy bien ubicado y la habitación está bien: amplia, cómoda y limpia. Sin embargo, en recepción nos recibió una chica de lo más antipática y con muy pocas ganas de facilitarnos las cosas. Es de ese tipo de personas que no deberían estar en atención al público porque ya de entrada dejan una mala impresión del lugar.

We booked this hotel specifically asking for a quiet room. Instead, we were given a room with windows facing a noisy street and located right by a door that kept slamming nonstop from 6 a.m. It was impossible to sleep. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting — the toilet smelled like an old sewer, and the horrible odor spread into the entire room. On top of that, there were no blankets provided and not even basic essentials like soap. To make things worse, the hotel charged our credit card twice, even though we had already prepaid for the stay through Expedia. We had to catch this ourselves in the morning. When we brought up all these issues during checkout, including the sleepless night, the stink, and missing amenities, the staff’s response was shocking. The representative told us, “Well, you got the cheapest room, so please be careful what you’re buying. If you want something decent, you should book a more expensive room.” This is completely unacceptable. No matter the price, every guest deserves a clean room, basic supplies, and respectful service. Instead, we were treated with arrogance and left with a terrible experience.

El hotel para nada es de 4 estrellas, está muy bien ubicado pero los cuartos muy eescuidados, el baño olía muy mal a drenaje y entraba hasta la habitación, las amenidades del baño eran una burla, un “jabón” de baño que parecía una goma de mascar de lo pequeño y delgado que estaba, lo peor fueron las camas, los colchones que casi se le salían los resortes, cuando uno anda de vacaciones lo que quiere es llegar y descansar en un buen colchón, la ropa de cama estaba tan delgada que se veía hacia el otro lado. Elegí una habitación con “balcón” precisamente por la buena ubicación, pero es una burla porque no se podían abrir las ventanas ya que pegaban con el cortonero, aunado a ello que no era puerta, si no ventana, la vdd fatal

Great location, however the fan/AC was not working and there was also a bad smell

Bra läge på receptionen, sedan fick vi ett rum en gata ner på ett annex utan fönster med mögellukt. Stenhårda sängar och fruktansvärda kuddar, fick tömma avfuktaren flera gånger på vatten. Dyr och dålig frukost men med fantastiskt utsikt. Garaget var svårt att ta sig in och ut, fick backa några hundra gånger fram och tillbaka. Inget hotell vi rekommenderar.

The room lacked a microwave and mini fridge. Which really doesn't matter because the hotel is in an excellent location with great food and shopping all around. The room had an absolute stunning view of the bridge and country side. Would definitely stay again.

Delighted with our spacious modern room on a quiet side street, not in the original older hotel a couple of steps away. Central to sights and tabernas. The only criticism I may have is the breakfast could be improved on. Other than that, staff were helpful and pleasant, would stay again!

Pues tuvimos mala suerte, nos tocó una habitación a pie de calle que se escuchaba todo, los coches, la gente y para colmo juntos a la entrada con una puerta de madera que pasaba mucho y daba portazos. Hemos dormido 5 horas. Por lo demás bien

AC in room did not work- got hotter than hell during the night. Also, failed to provide soap or glasses.

Be aware when you book you may not be in the main hotel you might be accross the road. No views of the canyon. No glassware in room.

Potential customers need to appreciate that the hotel is in two parts. One overlooks the gorge in Ronda (which is spectacular) whilst the other half is in the street 50 metres along. Of course the ones with a gorge view are more expensive than the others. We were in one of the ‘side street’ rooms. Perfectly good room but no views at all. Everything was clean and worked well although the restaurant lacked any real atmosphere.

First, there\'s the hotel, and then this sort of apartment down the street, the "other" hotel. The room was fine. Nice bathroom. HOWEVER, there are lights on the alarm system on the ceiling that illuminate the entire room all night.

The room was fine, the location was quite loud but a good location. They were completely under staffed. We were in a secondary building with no front desk. There was absolutely no WiFi in our building.

Great position, lousy customer service on whole. One guy very good, all others dismissive, unhelpful

Great location and very helpful staff, had a fantastic weekend break

What was unique about the property?? Definitely the staff. I have stayed at various hotels and most hotels, of course, have friendly and helpful staff. But here my experience has been beyond what I could ever expect. Paco and Francesco went out of their way to help me when I was in a difficult situation. I am very grateful to Paco for being extremely kind and considerate. The stay was comfortable, views are stunning and food is sublime. However, it is the extra mile that both Pacos 😁 went, is what will stay with me.

Not a very nice hotel. No coffee, tea, kettle or glasses in the room. When we went down to get a coffee we were told it was 16 euros for each coffee as guests were required to purchase the entire breakfast to get a coffee. This is not service based it is a money grab. We also witnessed the front desk staff treating guests very poorly. Rude and condescending treatment of paying guests in front of other paying guests is inexcusable. I would not stay here again. It is a one star with a view.

Lamentamos tener que calificar un hotel tan bien ubicado como una terrible experiencia. Hicimos check in y de ahí nos trasladaron a un edificio por lo que yo no solicité pues no contaba con la vista que compré!! Estaba en un edificio a 70mts de ahí . Mi esposa se metió a bañar y de la coladera salió flotando una masa con pelos y no eran de ella pues entro con gorra de baño. Fui a la recepción a decir que no era la habitación que yo solicité y de un pésimo modo el responsable dijo vamos a la habitación y me demostró que si tenía vista al campo ( la imagen era a los techos ) y cuando le dije que no funcionaba el aire me dijo que si sirve o que abra la ventana y respire aire puro no como el de MÉXICO , que tan puro que me cuidara con las alergias , que modos son esos ? Para tratar a un huésped y para expresarse así de un país en un hotel que supuestamente es de 4 estrellas que no llega ni a dos y las obtendría solo por la ubicación. A la mañana siguiente le marqué para informar de la coladera tapada y su respuesta fue “ a ver si mando a alguien “ que nunca sucedió. Hoy temprano puse un comentario respecto a su trato en su pág de Facebook y salimos al check out , cuando él sale y me insultó , con gran intención de provocarme lo que estuvo a punto de conseguir, me dijo malas palabras, se burló de mi físico y forma de vestir y mi país dijo que soy representante de Méx Una VERGÜENZA

Great location, great price, and beautiful town

Das Hotel hat eine einzigartige Lage direkt an der neuen Brücke über die extreme Schlucht zwischen der spektakulären Altstadt und der ebenso gepflegten wie lebendigen Neustadt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Location of hotel is perfect . Couldn’t be better. The hotel room itself is very basic and the bed not comfortable, but it is clean and perfectly adequate. Great bar and restaurant overlooking the gorge and bridge .

The hotel has a fabulous location and view. The staff was very helpful and led us to a garage where we could park for 18 EU a day. The only drawback was that the hotel waiter was rude. He first refused to split our bill and he rushed us from our table. That said, the food was good and the location spectacular

Breakfast items were limited and presentation was poor. Slow coffee service.

Goed hotel voor het uitzicht, prima ontbijt en redelijke bedden. Beste is wel om daar te lunchen of dineren vanwege het uitzicht en lekker eten.
