Et hotel der ligger centralt. Nemt at komme til. Gode P-forhold. Tæt på banegården. Der er rent. Rengøringen gør et super arbejde. Men som andre anmeldelser skriver så er vi enige i - at, hotellet trænger til en omgang modernisering og istandsættelse. De har alle muligheder. Wellness og tagterrasse midt i byen. Wellness koster ekstra.

We were happy with our stay at El Tajo Hotel, staff were friendly, breakfast had a nice selection (10 Euro if not included) and we also booked here as we had a hire car and they have an underground car park (convenient but tight with an SUV). The location is excellent, walkable to all of the main attractions in Ronda and the staff made some great recommendations for Dinner just a 5 minute walk away.

Check in was smooth and fast, staff is very helpful and so nice. Beds and pillows were good and had better towels second day. Spa was nice for the price, but didnt get a lot of instructions on how to turn the jets on. Stay was very nice and terrace was great for sunset!

L’hôtel est très bien situé dans Ronda avec supérette en face. Le parking se fait dans le parking public attenant à l’hôtel (18€/j), mais si vous trouvez une place sans marquage jaune dans la rue vous pouvez stationner gratuitement (ce que nous avons fait sur les conseils de la réception). Attention ! Tout l’hôtel est équipé de « purificateurs d’air à l’Ozone » qui laissent un très fort parfum au point d’être désagréable dans tout le bâtiment. Heureusement le climat d’avril nous a permis d’ouvrir la fenêtre pour aérer la chambre et ne pas dormir dans l’odeur de désodorisant. C’est la seule vraie ombre au tableau. La circulation dans l’hôtel est un peu labyrinthique avec des petites volées de marches au sein même des étages, la conception du bâtiment est plutôt ancienne. Autrement c’est confortable et vous avez accès à un solarium sans vis-à-vis sur le toit-terrasse (transats ++). Le spa est relativement bien équipé malgré sa petite taille (15€ l’accès - bonnet obligatoire vendu 2,5€ si jamais) pas de sauna seulement hammam, pas de bassin froid (seulement douche dédiée avec le bon timer). Meilleure expérience de spa que dans d’autres hôtels 4* ou 5* en Espagne. N.B. les massages/soins se réservent auprès d’une personne extérieure sur WhatsApp alors anticipez.

I consider everything excellent except for the air conditioning and that is poor and unacceptable. If we were in the room we were sweating. And the bad thing is when you leave the room the power goes out so you have to start all over again when you get back so it is always suffocating inside. If we were to return to Ronda again in the summer, we would not stay there again only because of the air conditioning.

Excellent location, on site parking a real bonus. Large room, overlooking an internal courtyard so a little dark but certainly quiet. All the staff we encountered were really professional, helpful and friendly. Would certainly recommend.

Nice central hotel with comfortable rooms. Staff could be more accommodating and friendly. We needed a crib and one of the receptionist was very unhelpful and kept saying that we needed to say that in advance even though we booked for 2 adults and a 8 month old. When we were leaving we couldn’t get the garage door open for the car and the same receptionist was very rude when we asked for help. Again in 30 degree heat and a baby in the car, we expected a bit more.

The spa was terrible. The jets in the pool didn’t work, nor did one of the overhead showers and the water was tepid at best. The staff gave us robes and slippers only to find out we’d be charged for the lousy slippers we threw out at checkout. Generally, the staff was pretty surly, except for the nice man early in the morning who made me coffee.

The check in was superb and the lady that helped us was very nice. I asked about having some coffee early next morning since we were leaving early, before they opened their breakfast and was told that there was no problem since there's always someone in the reception that can assist. There's no facility to do make this yourself in the room, which is a miss not to provide. In the morning the problem started we got to know Benjamin, he flatly refused to make the coffee saying that perhaps you get that kind of service in a 5 star hotel. He knew exactly, his own words, how to perform his job and he was rude!! My wife asked him first and the I did the same 30 minutes later. The weird thing is that big coffee machine was already up and running so he probably already had his coffee :) This guy has the wrong job, big time!! Totally unsuitable for being in a service profession, therefore the general poor review when the total and the rest of the staff was very nice. I would not stay here again based on this guy. Shame that just one guy can wreck the ratings.. The night after we stayed in a 2 star hotel, they had all the amenities in the room, coffee, tea and water bottles, just a reflection (and recommendation to this hotel).

Very conveniently located - steps from Carrera Espinel, and in the heart of Ronda. A few minutes' walk to the gorge, the Real Maestranza, and wandering all the sights & sites of Ronda. Our room was super spacious - the bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and we had no issues with noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. The parking garage is right next to and attached to the hotel. At the time of my stay (Mar 2024), it was €15 for the night and good until 12pm the next day. Kind of wish it based on a 24-hour period but understand it's meant to accommodate the guests for the day. To stay after 12pm, it was an additional €2.40/hour, which was reasonable (mainly because we didn't want to bother moving the car for a couple of hours, lol).

It was right in old town and the hotel had a lot of character. Waking distance to everything. Asked for parking but was told upon arrival they didn’t have any spots left. It was up to us to find a spot. Check-in girl wasn’t helpful but everyone else was very friendly.

I stayed two nights at the hotel el tajo. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well located next to the main shopping street, and very close to the attractions. It was quiet at night. I did not have breakfast, or use the spa.

This charming hotel is just off the central canopied shopping, strolling area of Ronda, which is a beautiful and easily walkable historic town. The intercity bus station is less than a ten minute walk from the hotel. The staff welcomed us graciously and was very helpful. Our room on the third floor was spotless and nicely designed and the buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of seating for all. The Noon check out time was perfect--allowing us time to tour the bull ring and museum before checking out. We were very pleased with our choice of Hotel El Tajo to explore this beautiful town.

La charmante receptionniste nous a réservé un excellent accueil et nous a très efficacement donné les informations touristiques utiles. Nous avons disposé de 2 chambres communiquantes, idéales pour un couple et deux adolescents. Les chambres sont propres et bien équipées, le petit déjeuner est copieux et relativement varié. Parking privé très pratique à réserver à l'avance. Nous n'avons pas testé le spa. Emplacement idéal en haut de la rue piétonne commerçante pour une visite à pieds de Ronda. L'hôtel est assez ancien mais bien entretenu, bon rapport qualité prix.
