The breakfast was pleasant - help yourself style buffet. I did find some out of date yogurts by 1 month and they were super apologetic. The room (19) was very disappointing. Our view was a roof littered with rubbish, the room was very small and cramped. It was relatively clean for how old it is (notable stain on the chair). We attended a function and the food was good, drinks were fine with a fair choice and service was pleasant from all staff. The grounds are well maintained, beautiful and the star of the show. Plenty of amble parking with good size spaces. I don’t think we would have stayed here if it wasn’t for the function, and if it was to happen again - we would find elsewhere to stay as the value to what we got was disappointing.

The room was basic. The aircon was brilliant. The bath was do deep and relaxing, . But the net curtain was dirty. There were cobwebs under the desk, the vinyl on the desk was peeling off I couldn't see into the mirror when sat at the desk to do my hair etc as mirror is too high. There was a chunk of carpet lifted in corner. My key card broke twice. I asked receptionist for a jug of iced water as it was a hot day. I waited an hour before having to go to the bar to get it myself. The breakfast was average, bacon was hard as rock, sausage was cheap, mushrooms were tinned. Eggs were cooked perfect. So ended up having fried egg on toast.

I would say the value for money was very good. The room was on the smaller side, but perfectly acceptable for my requirements. The restaurant evening meal options, quality and prices were all very good, as was the service. Excellent location and lovely grounds. I'd certainly stay here again.

Room Small Double Spotlessly clean (hats of to the housekeepers) Only small in space but everything you need.. All staff were very friendly and professional, Breakfast included and very good. Lovely grounds, booked again for next year but chose a standard double this time as they are quite spacious . The one small downside (for us) was on Sunday night only one person on the bar so despite running out of bitter and ice he couldn't leave the bar to rectify the problems, this may well of been a one of occasion. All in all excellent accommodation would highly recommend
