The parking was very limited, first come first served basis Think there was about 14 spaces. The hotel was lovely and clean with nice decor, but most of all the staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful, especially reception and restaurant staff, couldnt fault them at all .

The real asset to this lovely old hotel is its staffing . Friendly and warm . Helpful at all times . The food is really very good - had a memorable roast dinner and a tasty breakfast. The only downsides are the outside windows at the courtyard need painting . And the room was hot but a fan was provided . It can get a little noisy as it’s right in the epicentre of Bakewell but don’t let it out you off . Very dog friendly and plenty of places to walk your pooch .

The accessible room was huge, clean and easy to get around for a wheelchair user. The breakfast was great apart from the toast which was hard. The toaster was really poor and I think that was the cause, The staff were really brilliant. Couldn’t fault it for a short stay.
