Pros: Clean, comfortable and cosy. Perfect for a couple of nights away with friends. The kitchen is a great size for cooking with friends. The larger bathroom is lovely- I wish I’d taken a bathbomb to enjoy a dip in the big tub. If you or anyone in your group are steam train enthusiasts, you’ll love this place. The train track is directly behind the house with excellent views from the 1st and 2nd floor. Location wise, there’s a well stocked petrol station around 5 minutes down the road with a Greggs. The area is quiet but you’re not a million miles away from amenities if you need to nip out. A perfect balance, imo. Cons:The single beds are very uncomfortable for adults. We slept really poorly but managed 2 nights. I wouldn’t recommend for any more than this though. This is not a reflection on this house, however, the facilities at the leisure centre are pretty dire so I wouldn’t say this is a selling point of the property.Top tips: take some toilet roll, salt & pepper and some anti-bacterial spray. Also grab a couple of bags of logs and kindling. Overall, the place is great for a weekend away with friends/family and I’d recommend to others.

Our stay in Woodside cottage was perfect for our group of six. An extremely comfortable and well maintained property, we would definitely stay there again.
