Waterfront setting, so nice vacation feel. Frig & microwave in rooms. Free music and kayak use, with sandy swim area. Beautiful nighttime views and lots of areas to sit outside including a fire ring. Excellent location as Door County home base. Summer staff includes college students from several countries-all very nice and glad to have the experience. Everyone very nice.

Nice location, but property is very dated. Walls are paper thin and our neighbor had a large dog that barked all day and night. I was not aware pets were allowed in the rooms or we would have chosen to stay somewhere else. Busy bar/restaurant area with great outside seating and right on the water. Parking was an issue with all the restaurant/bar patrons. If traveling with family again, I would probably choose elsewhere to stay, but if you are traveling with adults and don’t mind a little outdated stay for low cost- this would meet the criteria.

At the end of a dead end street. One level. Clean room and bathroom. We stayed in the Traditional Family with sofa bed. Great room on the road side of the hotel but that did not matter. Lots of outdoor seating, you can rent a Weber grill and cook. Boat, bike, kayak rentals. Swimming beach a great restaurant and bar on the property. Close to all attractions in Sturgeon Bay and beyond. Check it out.

Truly a fun spot to spend a few days. Grounds are beautiful and lots of Sandy beach area. They have rentals for jet skis, saw many fisherman take off from the docks. Most favorite part was the fish boil on the first night we arrived, very tasty and lots of food. Their restaurant on as good selection of choices and it was very good. Our room was clean, only a bit cramped because we had our two small dogs with us. Needed maintenance to fix a light which was taken care of quickly.

Property has such an amazing spot along Sturgeon Bay with seating outside, a bar and boat launch. Rooms were spotless. My favorite place to stay ever up here. Some may not like that the place os older, but that just adds to the charm

When I seen the review that was left saying... "Well it's not the Ritz" it made me chuckle but figured I'd take a chance... Im truly unsure of where to start this review... First, not being a local, navigating the search for the "Front Desk" area was rather interesting as it is marked but deceiving. After some looking around and taking a chance at the Bar and Grill on the property, I stumbled upon the Front Desk area. They seemed to be aware of the difficulty of finding this as the ladies and I had a chuckle or 2 as I was checking in. Very friendly ladies none the less. Unfortunately, there was only 1 key, yes an old fashioned key, available for our room. In which they apologized for a couple of times. Onto the room... oh boy... Finding the room was easy with the Front Desk directions. I am going to add the room # here (20). Upon opening the door, the very pungent smell of a musty basement was overwhelming. The air conditioner was on and the room was very cold and felt good. You could tell that the room had been updated with paint, lighting, and flooring. The bathroom had been totally redone and very nice. The plunger next to the toilet was a red flag and did have to be used numerous times unfortunately on night 1! Bed mattress' seemed fairly new and really comfortable in my opinion. They did tend to slide off the base of the bed constantly. We just kept pushing them back on. It was really nice to have 2 windows that actually opened, only one had an intact screen.

nice beach. Did not have any view from room. Motel room smelled terrible - like a dead mouse in the air conditioner unit. We were unable to use the air due to the smell. Asked for a new room and was declined even though they admited that the room smelled. Did provide Febreeze and a de-humidifer.

The room was rather run down. Lamp next bed was missing knob to turn it on! Along window sill and slat blinds were good particles, dirt and dust in all crevices:( Sofa was stained as was bedspread. Questionable cleanliness overall in this room. Unimpressed

My stay was okay. I didn't sleep very well because the pillows were flat and I was on the end unit. Plus you could hear people going in and out of the entrance. In the morning there was a restaurant supply truck that had its engine running for an hour, very hard to stay asleep. Otherwise, the location was near a state park, but I didn't take advantage of that though. Location was great, right in Sturgeon Bay, near restaurants and easy when ready to leave to go home.

If you’re looking to just spend the night with a wuick scenery with easy access to a bar, food, and lake view, this is the place! It is not luxury but a cute motel to stay in if you’re not extremely picky! Access to room was a key in which I have not seen in many years!

The property was in a great location. Seeing the lake every day was beautiful. Food in the restaurant was good with many choices. Being able to walk the dogs around the property and dining outside with them was nice. Evening music in the bar area was a bonus. The rooms weren’t fancy but were comfortable

Really nice location - beautiful view of Sturgeon Bay, great close access to the Ice Age Trail. Not too far of a drive into town either. King bedrooms a little nicer than the queen bedrooms.

I loved my stay there. Excellent fish chowder for dinner and an equally excellent margarita made to order. Very friendly staff. Beautiful view of Sturgeon Bay and the shipyard’s, though at a safe distance, so there’s no noise. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Liked the location. Nice that it’s on the water, although a little cool to enjoy. Room good, did not realize there were different priced rooms ( maybe did not see when booking via Expedia) Great restaurant on site. Very convenient to grab supper since many small town restaurants seem to be open for only breakfast and lunch. Fantastic seafood chowder.

Loved our stay....room was very clean...enjoyed sitting by the water, view was amazing. Not impressed with the food at Mary's. Ate the first day we arrived & my husbands pork patty sandwich wasn't cooked all the way. Thought we'd give it a second chance with just some appetizers another day, but still disappointed.
