Wonderful! What a beautiful hotel! Perfect location and great service. We enjoyed our breakfast a lot as the service and complete buffet provided us with plenty of options. The roof top snacks and drinks were great! The fitness room well equipped and available 24/7, very convenient. We loved it!

Excellent hotel, service was amazing and it is in the very heat of Bordeaux. In walking distance to nearly all attractions. Spa and sauna/ steam room are therapeutic and beautiful, rounding the day off with a visit to the roof top bar with is gorgeous views over the roof tops of Bordeaux.

Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms could be bigger but good. Not all rooms have great views. Good room service. Bed is comfortable but not great

Liked: Front desk staff excellent; concierge staff uneven, but the best of them were outstanding; beautiful facility with delightful roof-top bar; buffet when available was excellent; located at the top of the blocks-long shopping area. Disliked: Difficult to access due to stanchions always blocking drive entrance; terrible view from room; cramped room with nowhere to put luggage; housekeeping staff took multiple trips or multiple personnel to accommodate simple requests. Bordeaux city is hell to drive in.

Wonderful location! Such a great hotel. We were hushed a lot with our 5 year old swimming in the pool since spa treatments were going on so maybe they should have specific swim times for children since it was almost impossible to be totally quiet.

Un po' difficile da raggiungere (è in pieno centro storico e ci sono i dissuasori) ma l'hotel vale lo sforzo (anche perché una volta arrivati, da lì si va ovunque a piedi). Personale gentilissimo, belle camere, letto comodissimo, un po' caro il parcheggio (45 euro al giorno) ma dovessi tornare a Bordeaux tornerei sicuramente all'Intercontinental

Beyond that, there were issues — 1) when we checked in, they offered us a room that needed to use the service elevators to get there. Really? We said NO. 2) The hotel, especially the public hallways, are in bad need of updating. There were often unpleasant smells wafting through the corridors (like food prep). The rooms appear to have been recently renovated. 3) Servicing the room was an issue. We had to remind the hotel daily to clean the room, otherwise it wouldn’t be done. Really? 4) The fake silk flowers all throughout the property have to go. 5) The in-house restaurant options and breakfast were fair and service was efficient and good. Overall, location was great, service was uneven and the property needs updating. And don’t agree to the rooms where you have to take the service elevators, unless you’d enjoy riding with the cleaning and maintenance staff.

Check-In was amazing, desk was kind and service was top notch. We had a late arrival and the concierge arranged last minute reservations nearby quickly at a nice place. Rooms are agin, but clean and beds were comfortable and all was very clean. Well done.

Beautiful, classic property in an ideal location for a walking exploration of Bordeaux. Staff and service were exceptional. The only less than perfect thing was the grout in the wonderful bathroom, it was dingy and missing in some spots. Aside from that little issue, it was everything one would expect from a grand hotel.

Les poils et cheveux des passages précédents sur la table basse en verre, c'est moyen... La poignée de la porte des toilettes qui manque de vous rester dans la main... c'est moyen... Une climatisation qui ne fonctionne pas, pas possible d'avoir du chaud... Un café du matin, qui tient plus de la soupe d'eau chaude que du café... C'est vraiment dommage que dans ce niveau d'hôtelleries il y ait de telles négligences sur l'entretien, mais heureusement, les sourires et la bienveillance, le professionnalisme et la gentillesse de tout le personnel que j'ai pu croisé compense... Large hotel well located in the city centre. Nice room, but some street noise on Friday and Saturday nights, better on Sunday and Monday nights. It is near the hub for the trams and I recommend downloading the TBM ticketing app. It makes travel to attractions such as La Cite du Vin by tram much easier. Front of house staff welcoming and helpful and housekeeping very good. They kept our room well serviced, even closing our curtains. We met the maids and it was obvious how keen they were to please and do anything for us to make our stay enjoyable. What a contrast then, the hotel restaurant (the one on the ground floor). We ate there twice. Dreadful service: You get taken to your (reserved) table and left there with no menus or attention. You ask for things (in French) like water, desserts, the bill and they never come. We saw other tables sending food back. What service there is is slow, and for long periods serving staff just disappear completely. The restaurant really lets the rest of the hotel down.

Amazing room however for the price I would expect to sleep. Worst sleep I have had which is the primary reason for a hotel. For the price I would expect not to be woken at all hours of the morning due to chairs scratching against the floor and objects being dropped in a room above me. Really really bad

The room was beautiful. Very comfortable bedding. Excellent amenities. The valet staff were very efficient and easy to access. The plumbing needs a bit of updating. The tall tub wall made getting into the shower a little difficult. (We’re healthy but 62.) And the water surged hot and then cool. Our adult son was in a different room and did not experience what we did.

Our "suite" had a very odd layout, long narrow, not gracious. We had an interior courtyard view, which was no view at all. The heat did not work properly and we were often cold in the room. Management brought in two ugly portable heaters which did not help. Would never stay here again, nor would I recommend the hotel

BEWARE!! The hotel are encouraging people to get on flights & stay with covid. If you are travelling with anyone vulnerable, avoid at all costs. I booked this holiday as 40th birthday present for my friend. Unfortunately my friend got covid 2 days before. I phoned the hotel and explained this, I was told someone would call me back within the hour. They never did. I phoned Expedia & explained that even though we didn’t book cancellation, I only booked a couple of weeks before and it was about £250 more to get cancellation. We were happy to pay a penalty to change the dates & we still really wanted to come but were worried about flying with Covid and infecting other people on the flight. Expedia agreed & said that was possible but the hotel would have to agree. Expedia phoned back and said the hotel refused they said just get on the flight, stay in the room but they just would not provide room service. Ultimately we didn’t think it was worth infecting the other passengers on the plane. I lost £1500 and my friend lost her surprise birthday present. Such a lack of integrity & care from a 5 star hotel. Couldn’t be more upset and disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things. Everyone has exceptional customer service from when we got there until we left. We arrived by car. They unloaded our bags and parked. We went to dinner and when we got back our bags were already up. They even had a personalized welcome message on the tv. The room was exceptional. So clean and beautifully done. I don’t know what Josephine’s salary is but you need to triple it. She suggested restaurants and even brought canalles to our room. So amazing. I hope she sees this! We appreciate you!

It was an expensive stay as is expected at this time of year (New Year). However, there was no real celebration at the venue and little else in the city itself it appeared. The food in Le Bordeaux restaurant was poor and over priced for what was served. The staff are friendly in the hotel but despite staying in one of the most expensive suites we were expected to queue to get into the bar in the foyer or the roof top bar?? Bordeaux is a lovely city and there are far better value options for both accommodation and food.

La struttura è molto bella in posizione perfetta, il personale professionale e cortese. Le camere sono il neo, devono essere ristrutturate, soprattutto il bagno. Le vasche da bagno sono vetuste senza soffione, solo con il microfono che si usa come bidet, peraltro nella mia camera anche rotto. Ho dovuto chiedere upgrade in suite per avere una doccia normale. Sono stati cortesi mi hanno fatto un prezzo di favore, ma non dovrebbe accadere in un 5 stelle di questo livello. Un altro problema strano è che le finestre non si possono aprire sono sigillate. E' un'assurdità non poter cambiare aria soprattutto in camere con arredi così pesanti, moquette e tendaggi. Ho chiesto di aprirle, mi hanno accontentato aprendole ma non essendoci maniglia sono rimaste aperte tutto il soggiorno. Meglio così che chiusi dentro. La sala colazioni è piccola, con la cucina a vista in sala c'è cattivo odore. Il resto è molto bello, la struttura richiama negli arredi l'antica Roma e la piscina interna in rosso pompeiano è stupenda.
