The Breakfast on Wednesday was comic. The bar was not attended in the evening so you had to find stafff to get a drink , it also doubled up as the breakfast buffet room and had the breakfast items still out from the morning. It’s a shame the staff were lovely and very helpful.

La piscine est implantée au rez-de-jardin, juste au bord de AMSTEL. La salle du petit-déjeuner est également au rez-de-jardin au bord de AMSTEL. Un sentiment de quiétude s’empare de vous à votre arrivée et ne vous quitte pas jusqu’à votre départ. C’est, à coup sûr, un des meilleurs hôtels de charme dans lequel il m’a été donné de séjourné.

Great place to stay. Walk to a local bar for a drink and dinner. A local bakery with great bread, pastries and coffee if you don't fancy the heavier breakfast of the hotel. Several restaurants and bars all in walking distance but far enough away to not be a noise concern. Hotel food was great. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa were all fabulous. Staff are very helpful and friendly. You can walk to the rest of the city from here, or you could take a tram or hire a bike.

The hotel is beautiful, classic. The junior suites we had were of generous proportions with modern bathrooms and amenities. The gym was decent with new equipment. The breakfast included in our room rate was excellent. My biggest praise, however, goes to the staff. They were remarkably friendly and helpful. It will definitely be our first choice for accommodations the next time we go to Amsterdam.

Wir waren für 3 Übernachtungen in diesem Hotel und sind als Paar verreist. Wir lieben es für einen Kurztrip in einem tollen Luxushotel abzusteigen. Preis / Leistung stimmt hier allerdings nicht ganz überein. Es gab keinerlei Aufmerksamkeiten wie sonst in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie üblich. Außerdem wurden die Vorhänge 3 Tagelang nicht mehr geöffnet. Wir haben Frühstück mit Abendessen gebucht. Das Abendessen haben wir von Expedia kostenlos mit dazu angeboten bekommen. Leider haben wir 3 Tage lang das gleiche Menü bekommen. Am 2. Tag dachten wir noch es ist eine kleine Verwechslung und haben nichts gesagt und nochmal das gleiche gegessen. Am 3. Tag haben wir dann aber schon darauf hingewiesen, dass das doch nicht so ganz üblich sei und wir doch nicht jeden Tag das gleiche essen wollen. Wir sind damit nicht auf große Begeisterung gestoßen - haben dann aber doch ein anderes Menü bekommen bzw. Eigentlich die gleichen Zutaten in einer anderen Zusammenstellung. Als Dessert durften wir uns etwas neues aussuchen. Beim Check-Out haben wir nochmal darauf hingewiesen dass das etwas seltsam war, bekamen aber auch die gleiche Antwort, dass das Essen ja kostenlos im Paket dabei ist. Im Restaurant meinte man noch wir könnten uns ja etwas anderes bestellen. Das Essen war aber ausgezeichnet gut und vorallem das Frühstück ein Traum. Gerade das Personal beim Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Sauberkeit des Hotels ist perfekt und auch der ruhige und sehr schöne Spa Bereich lässt keine Wünsche offen.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The staff are friendly and professional. The room was very large and the beds were nice. It is close to the metro and a rail station and once you understand the route the hotel is very conveniently located. The only thing was that the carpet was old, the chair in the room had seen much better days and the room smelled of the 1970 smokers that had stayed in the room previously, that’s my only complaint. We loved the hotel.

On check in, room was of course not available. Since we had reserved a suite, we were advised that the room would be cleaned as a priority and advised that it would be ready at 1 PM. We waited and hour and were then told it would be 3 PM. They offered to call our cell when the room was ready and did not. We came back to the property at 3:15 PM and they handed us the key with no comment. So, the staff made a point of making sure the room was not ready until 3 PM. On 2nd night, housekeeping left the door to our suite open after cleaning! We complained to the front desk and asked to speak with a manager who, of course, never contacted us. One of the worst hotel experiences ever. We will never stay at another IH. Property.

The staff are all exceptionally helpful. The restaurant was great for both breakfast and supper. The hotel is in easy walking distance to just about everything you’d want to see. Our room, a premium overlooking the river, was spacious and well-appointed. Would absolutely stay here again!

I stayed there for 1 week on a business trip and loved the hotel. A couple is useful points to consider: 1. Not a crowded or noisy hotel (filtered crowd) 2. Very comfortable rooms with nice layout and super soft pillows better than the ones you have at your home 3. Adjusted to local time zone quickly from jetlag from California time zone 4. Reception and front door staff are very warm, and intelligent and will go out of their way to help you (broke my iphone screen, and the receptionist was able to find a cheap local store to get my screen fixed at prices she would pay herself) 5. Location is quite nice as I could walk 5-20 mins to any place I had to be or take uber when needed 6. Good breakfast in the hotel and if you have special dietary needs they can customize it for you but you should also try going outside as well Great hotel for business travelers, couples or families. I'll be returning for a family trip next time in summer.

The best hotel in the city! This is not an ordinary hotel, luxury, comfort, excellent service, safety…everything for your needs and wants. A little far from center of town but it’s definitely worth it. You can easily walk, bike or take a taxi/uber.

Rigtig flot og lækkert hotel og god beliggenhed. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. De fleste var også meget serviceminded. Dog var vi ikke tilfredse med servicen til morgenmaden og kvaliteten på deres morgenbrød var ikke så god. Men alt i alt et virkeligt godt ophold.
