This is a 4 star hotel however I'd give it a 2 at best. The staff were lovely and could not have been nicer, however the room was very basic. The bed was uncomfortable, the room had a kettle and very basic tea and coffee options. Also, we arrived and was told that no food would be served that night in the hotel but were given no prior warning to this. We then expected a full breakfast (included in the cost) but again, woke to a breakfast of cereal and pastries. At no point did anyone make us aware that there would be no hot food in the morning as well. Probably wouldn't recommend as we chose this hotel over other similarly priced hotels in the area, but fear I made the wrong choice.

Unfortunately there was a problem with their kitchen and consequently no hot food was available. The “English Breakfast” was also cold and in fact a Continental Breakfast would have been a better description. That said, the room rate was extremely reasonable and the staff were excellent - providing both recommendations for dinner on the evening of arrival and then at breakfast, providing an itinerary of recommended stops for our journey up to Fort William.

All was good but short staffed and no kitchen so no food all weekend and only a cold continental breakfast in the mornings and this was not mentioned when booking!

Great hotel in every way save the food offering- there wasn't and on first night advised to order in if we wanted food! Great coming from a 4 star hotel. Breakfast for continental was OK but nothing hot... unless you count the toast! We paid for a full breakfast and got a pale copy unfortunately.
