Nice quiet hotel, pool was great. All good

Comfortable beds, great pool and nice paths to walk along the River to town. Great breakfast in the morning.

Good gym and swim facilities. Beautiful surroundings.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable and friendly staff. Great leisure area, only quibble is that some of the lockers don’t work - tried about 3 or 4 before I got one to lock but no other issues. Beautiful setting with great walks on the doorstep.

The Leisure facilities are simply not up to standard should be, which is main reason will not return Lots of issues Rooms and surroundings lovely especially outside next to River Tay.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and the location is stunning. Hotel facilities were excellent.

Beautiful grounds along the River Tay with woodland walks. Close to Dunkeld town. Spa facilities at the hotel are very good with a decent sized pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and gym available to guests. The breakfast is one of the best I've had at a hotel. Used both the bar and restaurant for evening meals. Service very good and food excellent. Room clean, tidy and comfortable. Looking forward to returning here.

Lovely clean bedroom with crisp white linen and towels. Buffet breakfast had lots of options including set items freshly made. The food could have been a bit hotter in the buffet section. Staff throughout were polite and attentive. Spa treatment massage was very good, pool area was very busy. Overall great weekend break and will definitely return.

Room was fantastic for staying with our young son. Service for dining was average, we ate early in the bar area but staff all seemed like they had showed up late. At first there was no one about then lots appeared all fussing over candles on tables and busy work instead of asking guests what they’d like or where they should sit. Food was very good though. Pool area looks great and very clean but pool temp is cold! more like an Olympic training pool than a spa hang out. Mens changing room looking very tired - felt a bit unclean but maybe just the age. Overall 4 stars as food, rooms and surroundings were fantastic but little things dropped a star.

Beautiful spacious room overlooking gardens. Comfy bed. Very quiet. Staff friendly and attentive. Super woodland and river walks for dogs. Spa clean and great facilities. All in all a wonderful stay. We will return!

Very clean and lovely comfortable room, bed also very comfortable. Leisure facilities adequate kept very clean and tidy and staff very friendly, only gripe was that kid’s session was supposed to end at 6pm but there was still kids in the pool well after this time. Food was lovely but very expensive and the service was terrible, very slow and very unorganised. When sat for breakfast had to ask staff for tea/coffee at least 10-15 mins from being seated, I find this poor for such an expensive hotel. Overall beautiful hotel in a stunning location.

Lovely relaxing stay for my birthday. Thank you to the staff for making us feel special. The staff were all welcoming and friendly from when we checked in at reception with Katie, to the receptionist at the leisure centre and the staff serving breakfast. Room was lovely and clean. The bottle of water in the room was a nice touch. Stunning grounds around the hotel. Enjoyed breakfast Pool was a good size for swimming and stayed open to a decent time, which we appreciated arriving late afternoon. We would return.

Lovely location but hotel needs refreshing. Stains on carpets, noisy plumbing, water stained ceiling and holes in the curtains. Needs a visit from the hotel inspector to raise the level. Had a nice meal in the restaurant despite being told we couldn’t eat until 8:15pm because they were fully booked. Came down at 7:30pm and was taken straight through to a half empty restaurant. Breakfast was good quality.

Issues with check in and we were not able to stay in the room we booked so were moved to a much less desirable room that was extremely outdated and not very clean.

Rather a mixed experience. The hotel building and grounds were impressive and we found the staff mostly pleasant and helpful. We appreciated being able to have breakfast tray brought to the room. But there were three significant negatives that would put us off from coming back: *One night there was intrusively loud music from a wedding until late. We came here specifically for a peaceful getaway so that evening was spoilt. *Room cleaning, including the toilet, seemed superficial. *We requested a late checkout and only got 30 minutes. Staff seemed to view the request as an opportunity to get more money from us. Given we were paying top dollar for a suite, I really expected a higher level of service.

This is our third time here, and the most disappointing stay. We paid for a suite for two nights. The room was not the best, black out curtains, weren’t as the lining was torn. Water glasses dirty. Room generally was not clean. The Breakfast and staff good. Just such a let down with the accommodation.

Beautiful room, hotel and settings.

Generally, a nice hotel, has a greeting on arrival. Drinks and food good quality, but limited options. Great Breakfast. Facilities are, in general good order. The room was light and fresh, immaculately clean. However, the BEd was very uncomfortable could feel every spring in the mattress, and it creaked like an old door hinge. The pillows were lumpy and clearly old, like the mattress. Bad matress and pillows isnt acceptible at the price level and we stayed in a superior room not a basic one.

Lovely setting, great for walks and wildlife. Not many restaurants in town though, certainly nothing very exciting beyond plain Scottish cuisine. Hotel bar & pool were great, restaurant was nice too but they did mess up our reservation due to a power cut and ended up being seated in the bar instead afterwards. Not quite what we had planned. Our suite was ok, although a bit tired and smell of must on entry. Would have benefited from a mini fridge and mini bar. Hospitality tray disappointing, would have been great to have some locally produced shortbread or tablet. Staff at reception and the pool were lovely, as were the bar and breakfast staff.

Lovely traditional hotel with modern touches. The room felt very luxurious, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Dinner was good, although disappointed not to see more local produce - there’s salmon fishing right outside the hotel. Staff were friendly. Overall a lovely night away.

The hotel is in a beautiful venue. Staff at check in seemed unsure. The room we were in was decent but all night there was banging noise either from a loose shutter or possibly from the gym.

Location was stunning. Staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was good but need hash browns haha. For a 4 star hotel it’s surpassing the mark. Only a couple of downsides is that we were staying in the annex which are not soundproof at all so we heard all the families till near midnight. Told reception (Amber) the next morning and seems like she may have mentioned something to the families as they were a lot more respectful and weren’t so loud. The other minor downside was the dinner menu. We had a look and thought it would’ve looked better, but uninspired for such a lovely hotel. The price for the food was a bit excessive too. However there’s absolutely amazing dining options in town. We will definitely come again!!!

Small double bed considering that the price was not the lowest . Bit uncomfortable. Very creamy floorboards in a tired room . Water pressure for shower non existent, more of a drip . Average changing facilities in pool / gym area - desperately needs upgrade On + side . Food ( breakfast ) good , staff attentive and friendly

Had a good stay but struggled at times to sleep in the General Wades Rooms, there must be an ongoing issue with the pipes making an extremely loud noise. Disappointed by this.

The room was comfortable. Nice ambience in the bar with the lighting and piano. Two members of bar staff were extremely polite and attentive. All the rest were to be honest, rude and bad mannered. Gorgeous location and nice pool but consistent quality of customer service needs some serious attention. Some staff in the bar are very unwelcoming which is a shame in such a special place.

Bets hotel that I’ve stayed at on my two week road trip around Scotland. Very friendly and welcoming staff, stunning grounds and gardens, excellent breakfast, very nice food in the evening with an outstanding waiter who served me, and as a solo traveller, I felt very safe, welcomed and included. Thank you all for providing service that all hotels in Scotland should, but sadly, don’t!

Generally disappointed with overall experience and overpriced for double room offering considering it was upgraded with Expedia booking but did not include breakfast. Upon arrival I was asked to pay in full for the entire 2 night stay with the receptionist quoting the price out loud (for everyone in the queue behind and my girlfriend to hear who was there on a treat) - not a good first impression or welcoming experience on arrival! We then went to get a drink from the bar although we queued for at least 10 minutes until 1 of 5 bar members that were cleaning and doing other tasks acknowledged us! We took the drinks to a window seat in the conservatory bar area but we were then told by 2 different staff members that we couldn’t sit there even though the bar was entirely empty. Once we finished our drinks (that had been assigned to our room) we left and were swiftly chased down at reception to sign for a table of drinks and food that were not ours and 5x the value. These points highlight the apparent lack of staff training in customer service and putting the customer first whilst being professional and showing some subtlety! The room was clean and a nice place to relax although the common areas are tired and not all that clean. The spa changing rooms and showers were dirty and are in need of an upgrade! Lovely setting and stunning location, just a shame about the service.

Inexperienced staff led to repeated wrong drinks orders, errors on bills and dreadfully slow service when the bar was virtually empty with multiple staff. Breakfast on the other hand was tasty and efficient.

Always a pleasure staying at Dunkeld House, the staff in particular are excellent, friendly and attentive.

Room was very nice. Staff seemed to struggle to cope with normal residents as well as a wedding. Restaurant service on the poor side. Nice property but expensive for what you are getting.

Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. Amazing venue for a wedding. Stunning hotel, great amenities. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were fantastic.

This property is idyllic, everything you could want in a holiday spot and more. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The views and paths along the river were perfect for quiet relaxation, and the charming town is easily walkable. A dream to stay in!

Lovely hotel for couples. We had an excellent overnight stay at the hotel, room was beautifully decorated but a bit small for my liking. We had a meal at the restaurant which was nice however I feel a bit overpriced for the quality. We used the facilities which I would give a real positive. Pool is pristine and both sauna and steam room were great. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had for years. Excellent selection and a true Scottish mix serving haggis, black pudding etc so could not be faulted. The grounds and walks are magnificent if you have the weather!I like providing honest reviews and all told this was a great stay!

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The dining is excellent in both the pub area and dining room.

Incredible hotel nested in the middle of nature. Everything about it is amazing. Expect an expensive dinner but that was expected given the quality.

Dinner was late for us 8.30 as the hotel was busy.Taking our order took about 30 minutes.Service could have been better! Cullen Skink soup at £17.50 was a bit expensive.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, room was immaculate. Price of wine at the bar a little steep, £12.50 for a 175ml glass! Breakfast was excellent, fantastic choice. Would stay here again in a heartbeat
