Unfortunately for us there was a wedding so hotel guests had to use a separate room for dining etc. This room was cold and few other guests said the same. We were on the second floor but the music from downstairs was loud plus we had a floodlight that lit our room up, overall disappointing.

Very good hotel at reasonable price. Food basic and mediocre with poor menu choices. My room was in the attic on 4th floor and the lift only goes up to the second. With a convoluted trek up and down stairs to get there. Beautiful Highland setting and the staff were friendly and helpful. 3* rating about right.

There's a stone maze up in the woods behind the property. It was an art installation, but still very cool. The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations Though it is a lovely building, we were surprised at how worn is was in areas. We decided this added to the ambiance. A surprise was, that even though there is a lift to the upper floors, our floor still required us to carry our luggage up and down a few stairs. It wouldn't have changed ours minds about staying here, but we wondered how more elderly patrons would have handled this. Overall, lovely place to stay for a little peace and quiet. Great country atmosphere

Room was dusty in parts and generally old fashioned. Room was noisy from other inconsiderate guests. The room wasn't worth the amount paid and booking direct from the hotels own website was £100 more, which given the hotel isn't justified. Bar area was comfortable, if slightly in need of an upgrade. Staff we came across were friendly and helpful, but mostly kept to themselves. On checkout we weren't asked if we enjoyed out stay as it's the little things that count. Not much to do in the area either.

Much better than expected, very friendly staff (from the receptionist to cleaners to breakfast servers), clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, tasty breakfast. Only slight downsides were a creaky door and thin ceilings, where we could sometimes hear other occupants, but it didn't stop a good night's sleep.

What a wonderful atmospheric, historic hotel kept in very good condition and a reminder of the olden day times. Room was spacious, warm and clean and the hotel lounge bar was beautiful to have a drink and relax.

Hi my stay at the hotel was very good comfortable room bathroom clean hot water good only thing is that i prefer a walk in shower as oposed to one in the bath as i have some mobility issues but that’s seid exelent definitely go back again

Our stay was as mostly as expected except for the issue of no hot water till we checked out in the morning. We were told the problem was caused by the Scotland water company so the hotel had no control over the issue. Nevertheless, it was not very pleasant when you cannot shower after a long day of travel.

Beautiful location and property grounds, hotel is unique and historic. The room was clean and standard - listed as a mountain view but our windows faced a building. The shower water pressure was quite poor and the room was very warm. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was fair, but coffee was stale. The staff were lovely. We don’t regret our stay here, but we probably won’t book here again.

The grounds and building were excellent. The room was very outdated. No air conditioner so made the room hot even in May. The windows don't have any screens so all the bugs (spiders/mosquitoes/etc) come in. Some of the windows were painted shut. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat. Lighting in the room was very dim. Not many USB connections. The bathroom was renovated in the "four post" room, but still was not up to standard. The tub was so narrow that standing perpendicular your toes will hit the side walls. Water pressure was very low, so showers take even longer. Carpet in the hallway worn and you can see threads. Reception staff was helpful and friendly.

Although I didn’t have the chance to stay at Ben Wyvis Hotel due to a maintenance issue, I was thoroughly impressed with their commitment to customer service. As soon as the problem was realized, they proactively reached out via email and phone to ensure my tour group was accommodated at a nearby property. They took care of all the details, making what could have been a stressful situation completely seamless. Thanks to their efforts, we stayed at the Highland Hotel, which turned out to be a lovely alternative. Situated at the top of a hill with views overlooking part of the town, it provided a welcoming and comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was a great way to start the day. While I can’t speak to the experience at Ben Wyvis firsthand, their dedication to ensuring guests were well taken care of speaks volumes about their hospitality. If I ever return to the area, I’d certainly consider staying with them.

Impressive ! Phone line reachable & able to help bçs my flight delay 9hrs. Driving 270Km, I was 5min late, staff no complaint even they said wait me till 11:00pm ! Spaces room. Grand hotel inside both paintings, furniture with good match. Like stay at a small castle. Traditional Scottish restaurant, cosy, good food. Friendly greeting staffs. Big laund in front ... so good!

Priority given to coach trip customers. Unable to eat in hotel 3 nights out of 4 due to being too full or closing early due to busyness. Not ideal after working all day. Hotel has grand old hotel getting run down vibe. Needs some improvements to decor. Breakfasts not good enough for £14.50.

The property was dated in its bar area old sagging furniture . Very poor choice on menu two pasta and one rice dish no proper local food or vegetables . Ordered wine was brought the wrong bottle . Paid bar bill only to find I had been charged for two bottles of wine and the barman could not give me a refund had to wait until the morning to see a Manager . Barman was not at the bar kept disappearing had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for him to come to the bar and then again the same happened to other people . No way of getting anyone’s attention. Although the next morning there was a bell on the bar which was not there the night before .Room quite small basic ok fir one night but no more . Would not recommend here to anyone

The only thing we could fault was the lack of bar staff on Saturday evening. My partner waited twenty minutes to be served— only one person trying to serve about twenty customers. The staff members we came into contact with during the rest of our stay were excellent.

This hotel is an old victorian hotel stayed with family for 3 nights. Breakfast was lovely and really enjoyable the bacon and sausage out of this world!! We had a triple room which was large and very clean. Please remember this hotel is around 150 years old the odd creaky floorboard old decor and furnishings this was all amazing stay at to many modern hotels this place is ideal good value and makes you smile as so much character cant wait to book next trip here . Location is ideal for trips into the northern highlands .

What a wonderful hotel in a lovely location. Grounds are beautiful and the village it’s nestled in is just beautiful. Staff and service at the hotel were excellent. Really friendly Reception Team and we’ll done Connor on your first shift!!!! Hotel is a tiny bit dated but it’s clean and comfortable. The Bar area could do with dimmed lights in the evenings, some music and candles maybe. But all in all, I loved it

Room was average in quality but overpriced for what was provided. Dinner menu was clearly designed for the busloads of tourists present. It was limited in scope and imagination and again, overpriced given the range and quality on offer. Breakfast too, was limited in choices and lacked finesse. This used to be a really good hotel, with excellent cuisine. Sadly, this is no more the case. Overall, average at best.
