Excellent stay at hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking directly outside was nearly always full , had to park other side of river. Luckily from hotel room we were still able to view car. Only downside not able to open windows for natural air.

Great hotel and location! The service was brilliant from all the staff but especially the lady in the leisure center, who kindly let my kids us the pool even after I had forgot to pre-book a time slot. The breakfast was great with loads for choices ranging from full English, cereals, pastries, yougherts and pancakes which were freshly made. Would highly recommend and stay again in the future if were ever in the area.

Nice parking and breakfast. The window towards the canal with the swans was really nice. Friendly staff! The room was clean and in a good shape. And great with the pool! The changing room for the pool could have been more clean though. But all and all very nice stay!

We booked here for a stay close to Chester Zoo and it really is a great find! The staff were all really pleasant. The food in the restaurant wasn't ground breaking but it was fine. Breakfast was good with gluten free options which are always welcome. The pool is fine but on the small side. The toilets in the pool were in bad condition, blocked and tissue on floor etc. The hotel room was a good size and beds were comfy. We had very noisy neighbours but that can't be helped. We'd definitely stay here again

great property, easy location for getting out and about. 20 mins from Chester and shopping outlets, easy access to liverpool and Chester Zoo. They had great staff and great food (you've got to try the fish and chips). Parking was a challenge as the hotel is set between the canal locks, but the view was pretty and we fed the swans daily. We even saw the canal barges being worked.

This is the first time at this hotel very big and comfy ,I attended this hotel for a wedding very this was great plenty of staff around and clean a comfy rooms ,the only thing that was not good was the windows at the back of the hotel canal side was very dirty can’t look out very well at the view room 127

Property and room were clean. Parking is difficult. The beds were awful, it was like being on a bouncy castle, this is an issue were have come accross with holiday inns previously. Breakfast was ok, again would be better if you could get your own hot drinks as staff were busy with each other.

The stay was lovely. However despite getting the helpful man from reception to come and have a look at the air con unit that was only blowing hot air it was only a temporary fix. It kept going on and off during the night and ended up being extremely hot, humid and unable to sleep. This had a negative effect on the comfort rating.

We so appreciated having air/con in the room after staying at 7 previous properties that did not offer air/con. Basic room but we had everything we needed. Lovely location on the canal. We stayed the same night as a wedding reception so the parking lot was really full but we were lucky and found one of the last spots. We will be back. : )

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival , our room was modern clean and very big in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed in. We opted for a meal in the bar , which again was lovely and served in ample time. Beds were super comfortable and aided a good nights sleep. We hadn’t planned to have breakfast, but decided to in the morning. Again we were greeted with a warm welcome and talked through the options and were offered hot drinks straight away. There were plenty of fresh breakfast options and although I personally think hotel breakfast in general are over priced , here I didn’t feel ripped off. We chose this hotel due to its location to Cheshire Oaks outlet village, it is only 5mins away and close to the motorway which made it a perfect choice. We had stayed at this hotel many years ago for the same reason and we won’t hesitate to return next time a shopping trip beckons.

The hotel is situated in a pleasant waterfront setting. While the property appears to have undergone recent renovations, the guest rooms disappointingly still have dated carpeting. The front desk staff was accommodating in allowing us to check-in early. However, the room sizes are quite cramped for two occupants, making it challenging to move about freely. The rooms may be sufficient for a solo traveler. We dined at the on-site restaurant, but found the food to be unremarkable and overpriced for the quality. We frequently heard children running in the rooms above and rambunctiously in the hallways. The breakfast area was equally chaotic, with young children roaming about and handling the food items. Better control of the situation is needed to provide a more peaceful, hygienic environment. Arguably the most significant issue was the extremely poor WiFi connectivity. Coupled with deficient cellular reception in this location, accessing the internet proved to be a major challenge. This property would not be recommended for business travelers requiring reliable, high-speed internet for video conferencing or other data needs. While the waterfront setting is appealing, the overall guest experience has substantial room for improvement in terms of accommodations, amenities, and WiFi.

The property is in a lovely location and very convenient for Chester Soon and Chester Oaks although we had a hire car. Very clean, comfortable room with 2 double beds and views over the canal. The blackout curtains are great and we both slept very well both nights. Very easy checkin and checkout.

Fantastic stay. The staff were amazing, especially James on reception, who went out of his way for us. The room was very clean and spacious, as was the lobby area. Breakfast was of a very high standard with excellent quality sausage and bacon. Again, the service was excellent with helpful and friendly staff. We also used the pool and steam room, and the receptionist was lovely.

Can’t fault this hotel. The staff made it! All so friendly and welcoming. Very accommodating to children. We were handed a kids goody bag upon check in which included some crayons and bubbles and kept my little one happy for a while. Restaurant staff were great in the evening and again at breakfast. All so lovely. We were given some duck food to feed the ducks too. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone but especially families.

Unfortunately when we tried to check in, there seemed to be trouble with the booking and they insisted I paid for the full room rate £147.90, but when I showed them the booking confirmation from yourselves that there was only a balance of £53.24 to pay, they couldn't understand it and there system also was giving problems. After a long wait (45 minutes) they eventually took payment of £53.24. But when I got to the room I then received notification from my bank that another £94.66 had been charged without my authorisation totaling the £147.90 they ask for at the start. I also received notification that the card saved with Hotels.com had also been charged £53.24 I went straight back to reception to ask for an explanation as to why they can take money without my authorisation and why anything had to be paid to start with, they said "the amount was being held as a deposit" which is the first time this was said to me and I've never had to do this before with any booking with yourselves in the past. They informed me it would be returned within 5 days, but I was on a budget and had already budgeted for this money for fuel back to Inverness and food for my family, but there was nothing that could be done as it had already been charged. Needless to say I was not very happy.

Excellent hotel and every single staff member was lovely and very welcoming. Never experienced such lovely staff service in a hotel chain. Room was very clean and the pool was a welcomed addition. Would definitely stay again. Staff made a fuss of the children and gave them sweets for Halloween which was not expected but very kind and the children loved it! Only a short drive to Cheshire Oaks and the hotel was set back around the water, with lovely views.

Excellent service from the moment we arrived till we departed, the reception staff were very efficient and the restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly at dinner and breakfast 😊 the room was very comfortable and clean and the views of the canal were very entertaining watching the wildlife and boats. Would definitely recommend, we really enjoyed our stay.

Bed and room all very good. Disappointed with the dinner. Half the menu wasn’t available. What I did have wasn’t that great either. Portions were small. Ice cream had clearly defrosted and then refrozen. Didn’t want to say anything at the time. Coffee at breakfast was bitter, obviously overheated. I’d stay again, but only bed and breakfast
