We were met by Pinka who checked us in, she was informative and had a lovely manner. Info given about the hotel, breakfast times etc. Our room was just a standard but plenty big enough, large comfy bed and had an estuary view We only ate continental breakfast at the hotel which was more than enough Luck to find parking in the hotel car park on each of the days we stayed here Loved Padstow out of season will hopefully return

Our stay at the Harbour Hotel was great, the room was really comfy, clean and had everything we needed. Even the tea and coffee in the room was lovely! We had breakfast included in our stay and it was delicious, lovely modern restaurant with continental and lots of cooked options available too. The hotel had bikes you can take out for a ride (free of charge) as well as wellies you can take out too. They had thought of everything, and staff were pleasent too which made for an all round lovely stay.

The Harbour Hotel in Padstow is a lovely hotel set in a great location with wonderful views over the Camel estuary. Belying the Victorian exterior, the interior has been renovated in a modern bright seaside style and is very welcoming. The reception and restaurant staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and there are paid options available @£10 each if you want a cooked breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing and our room had a lovely view over the harbour. The only niggle we had was that the housekeeping was a bit hit or miss: our (one) loo roll was not replaced and a hand towel put in the bath for replacement never reappeared - we had to ring up reception to obtain a top up/new towel. The topping up of the tea/coffee was also sporadic - I think this was all on one day so maybe they had a blip but it should be better supervised. However, overall we had a great stay with excellent service and the free bike hire was a real bonus - the Camel Trail by bike is a must and starts about 100 yeards from the hotel.

Very nice hotel, with lovely furnishings. We had an estuary view which was very nice, the Harbour restaurant also has a lovely view of the estuary and a good breakfast is provided. The hotel is conveniently located for shops and restaurants in Padstow. But I must say that of the six hotels that we stayed in on our trip around Cornwall this is the only one that had a car park fee.

Fabulous few days away post New Year. Very friendly staff - especially the bar man. Breakfast was lovely, with fabulous views from the dining room across the estuary. Stayed in a garden room. The room was spacious, comfortable with good views of the estuary and doors on to the garden. It is below the restaurant though so you can hear some noise from there in the evening and at breakfast in the morning - if this is something that would bother you would recommend booking a room in one of the higher floors. It didn't spoil our stay. We arrived on new year's day and got a space in the car park - which is bigger than imagined based on reviews and very welcome as parking in Padstow is limited. There were wellies to borrow (also bikes, which we didn't use).

Room was lovely and spacious and the hotel is wonderfully positioned especially for Rick Stein’s restaurant. Room was not as clean as it could be and the bathroom had some mould around the shower which needs sorting. Parking is paid for if you don’t book direct with the hotel which seems highly unreasonable. Continental breakfast selection was great and the staff were excellent and very friendly. We only ate in the restaurant once but it was delicious. Lovely hotel and you cannot fault the staff who were extremely helpful.

Sadly yet again we had issues with mould and stains in the bathroom . The hotel staff were quick to blame the age of thr facilities however after the first application of bleach things were improved . Maintenance were sent on the second day which helped . It was without doubt not cleaned properly to allow the black mould and stains on the grout get as bad as they were . Cleaning products need serious updating to stop this happening again I can’t fault the staff , attentive , polite and apologetic but the standard was simply unacceptable

We were put in a room with a very loud fan outside our room which was extremely noisy. There is no space in the car park and so every day we have had to pay £12 extra to park the car, this is a total of £60 in car parking. There is also loud banging above our hotel room. The hotel needs hoovering and is not tidy in places. Room not cleaned properly, dirty mugs left in our room and not replaced. Also the restaurant menu is very limited if you can not eat sea food. Overall not worth the price we have paid and all the extra charges are not great, we contact the hotel and Expedia for a refund and neither assisted. Would not recommend this hotel.

Room was comfortable and views were good. The in room tray hadn’t been restocked from previous stay as it was missing some things. En suite was very tight to get in between door and sink. Hotel staff were all polite and attentive. Men’s WC’s were very unclean.

We initially has a garden room, but had to move the following day, as this room was directly underneath the restaurant. There was a great deal of noise from staff, walking about, cleaning and moving furniture until 02:30. This started again at 06:30. Consequently we were not able to sleep. It was a pity as the room itself was superb. The staff were very friendly and attended to our issue without hesitation.

We stayed at HHP for my partners birthday in the sea view deluxe room and it was cracking, views stunning, and breakfast good standard. Only negative is that we were put in a room directly above the wedding reception room, when we returned from dinner at 10pm ready for bed the party had started and went on until 11:50pm, the music was so loud that the glasses in our room was rattling and even when it stopped my head was pounding so took some time to get to bed 2 and a bit hours after we intended. When raised with them the next day the staff did give us a small discount on the nightly rate for that evening which was appreciated but feel like we should have been placed in a different room in advance knowing they had a wedding and also should have been told on check in what time the music would be on until etc. Felt a bit that they could have been a lot more proactive in their planning or letting me know at booking there was a wedding on and the room allocated would be effected.

Nicely decorated room, spacious, great view. Breakfast choice was good. Very helpful having parking on site and location was good - walkable to everything. Wardrobe space is limited and there is no air com so on a hot night, it’ll be difficult to keep cool.

Really lovely one night stay whilst we had a special meal in Padstow. We had a garden room which meant you had a sea view and small terrace - the downside was that in the morning we were underneath the breakfast room and it was quite noisy from just before 8am which on a Sunday was a bit annoying. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious, the windows and patio door were a bit drafty though as it was a stormy night. It could do with thick curtains to pull across but there were just wooden slats. The general corridors etc and dining areas were all really stylish and newly refurbished. We managed to get a space in the hotel car park but it is a bit limited when the hotel is busy. Overall though I was impressed with the standard of the hotel.

Hotel is in a great location and overall a lovely hotel. Only downside was breakfast service appreciate it’s a busy service but manager in charge was more interested in telling people off constantly telling them she has a process to follow…took almost 1 hour to get our hot food because she is the only person allowed to seat people and also take orders….other than that fab hotel. Nice touch with g&t in your room

We absolutely loved staying here. Gorgeous room, friendly staff and lovely food. Complentary gin on arrival.Very comfy bed and good nights sleep( room 47) on third floor. Had to queue for breakfast which was disappointing as it took ages to be seated. Male staff member looked very unhappy and stressed. Maybe the hotel should have time slots that guests can book so big queues do not cause problems . Great hotel and great location.

The hotel stuff was unfriendly and not welcoming well. The furnitures , chairs were dirty and very old. So disapponting, I was in another Harbour hotel is Southampton and London and there was quality the services, furnitures too! The breakfast was poor not too much chooise. Do not recommend to stay there. Also no gym and no spa basicly just the room which it was so small as well. We regret to stayed there.

Lovely hotel in a very convenient location. My only complaints is that the service in the restaurant was very slow and the bathroom was incredibly small. Both items were overcome for a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Great location - just a short stroll down to the water and the village centre. In saying this, Padstow isn't a big place. Parking was easy. Room was quite compact, but well decorated. This is a pretty hotel - crisp and clean. Staff were lovely and helpful. Afternoon drinks looking out over the River Camel were nice, with the help of a very personable barman. We stayed one night as part of a month long self drive trip around the UK. We had the Continental Breakfast included (not our personal favourite) which was okay. I would stay at this hotel again.

Great view of Padstow. Room could have been better arranged so that you good sit and look at view. Breakfast had great choice, but only for a short stay. Is up the hill to get the view so walking up and down to town could be a challenge for the less mobile.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Probably the comfiest and biggest bed I've ever slept in! Spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast is just great and the staff are lovely. Only downside is the charge for parking but I think that's par for the course in Padstow!

The Harbour Hotel in Padstow is a lovely hotel set in a great location with wonderful views over the Camel estuary. Belying the Victorian exterior, the interior has been renovated in a modern bright seaside style and is very welcoming. The reception and restaurant staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and there are paid options available @£10 each if you want a cooked breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing and our room had a lovely view over the harbour. The only niggle we had was that the housekeeping was a bit hit or miss: our (one) loo roll was not replaced and a hand towel put in the bath for replacement never reappeared - we had to ring up reception to obtain a top up/new towel. The topping up of the tea/coffee was also sporadic - I think this was all on one day so maybe they had a blip but it should be better supervised. However, overall we had a great stay with excellent service and the free bike hire was a real bonus - the Camel Trail by bike is a must and starts about 100 yeards from the hotel.

Ignore the negative reviews the hotel was excellent. We arrived to find ample parking and the positioning of the hotel was perfect with a walkway right into the harbour area. The hotel looks like it has had a fairly recent upgrade and was in good condition. We had a nice room with a king size bed and view over the harbour area. Plus the room had a minibar and tea and coffee facilities. Had dinner in the Jetty restaurant the first night which was good washed down by a nice Sicilian Pinot Grigio. Had breakfast in the room on the first morning which arrived exactly on time and was exactly as ordered. The second day we had breakfast in the restaurant which had a free continental breakfast which offered ample choice but for an extra £10 we upgraded to a full English which was freshly cooked. The staff were all very friendly and helpful which enhanced our stay. Overall a nice two day break and if returning to Padstow would definitely stay at the hotel again.

We had 3 very enjoyable nights at the Harbour hotel. Our room was lovely it opened up onto the garden which was great. The bar was lovely and so was the restaurant, the continental breakfast was varied and delicious plus you could order cooked breakfast for a £10 supplement which we did one day for a change. The staff were all lovely too, we shall definitely be back,

The hotel itself was very good but its restaurant, The Jetty, was hugely disappointing and not a patch on its excellent sister restaurant, The Jetty in Christcurch, Dorset. This Padstow one was poor in quality, portion and value. It tarnished the pleasure and memory of our stay.

rooms were great and the reception staff very good ...it was the dining area and breakfast that was disappointing. having stayed in a harbour hotel chichester before the breakfast and breakfast staff were a let down the breakfast was badly presented and small ...staff unattentive and one man looked and behaved as if he had a handover everyday! other than that nice place. The bar man (foreign guy) very good and hospitable made great cocktails.

The hotel is in a fantastic location in Padstow. The decor is really nice and the beds very comfortable. We also couldn’t recommend the staff highly enough. They were always very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I was however really disappointed with the management. We stayed for four nights. We were not told there was to be a wedding reception on the last day. Our bedroom was beneath the bar (there is not a lot of sound insulation). We were kept awake into the early hours and then woken first thing by the bar being set up for breakfast. In total 4 hours sleep. Not the relaxing break we were hoping for. Please inform guests when they book that there is a function and don’t give them the room directly below the bar.

Great anniversary stay at this beautiful hotel which is a stones throw from the centre of Padstow. My only gripe would be that a cooked breakfast wasn’t included in the booking (£10pp) extra, for the price we paid for our stay and that the room was very hot, the fan provided was of no help. Maybe consider fitting Ac in the front facing rooms.
