Great hotel in a stunning location, facilities were great we used the spa, both pools and the golf course. The beach is a short walk away and Charlestown is only a 20 min walk along the coast path and well worth a visit.

Great location, amazing view and amenities, outdoor heated pool, tennis courts, golf course as well as spa facilities too. Getting drinks in the bar was a bit slow 3 staff on duty at the bar, and all standing behind it. but only taking orders once their manager pointed out they needed to. Some guests had table service and others had to go up to the bar. No real reason as to why the difference in treatment of guests. Maybe inexperience more than anything. Overall lovely place and would stay again.

This ia an amazing place. From the minute we wallked in to the minite we left the levels of service was impeccable. Lovely rooms, Top class Spa and pools. Delicious breakfat with a great variety and excellent, friendly and professional staff who look to cater for your every need. I will definitely be back later in the summer.

Lovely property. Well maintained, beautiful landscaping. Room was nice, a little warm but hotel provided fans. Would have liked to have planned a spa day, but they were fully booked. Food was wonderful, especially breakfast. View of bay was excellent. Staff were incredible and professional. Lasting memories for our few days we spent there.

This is an amazing hotel....heated outdoor pool, spa, 1 min walk from a cliff view, 5 minutes from a beach. The staff are all so nice and friendly the only negative thing i have to say is the shower in the room was terrible.....better off showering in the spa showers

Super hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were so welcoming. Facilities excellent, we parked up and didn't leave the local area, walked everywhere. Swimming pool, spa facilities and golf (nine hole and putting green) all included in the cost. Free bits for our daughter were a real bonus, she particularly loved the packed lunch! Hotel entertainment was really good quality as well, casino and having our caricature done were highlights.

We had a lovely stay in a standard double room with sea view. The room was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely to swim in on a fairly cool April day, and the rest of the spa was great too. Breakfast was excellent - a very wide range of options including freshly cooked full Cornish. The coffee was rather weak, that's personal taste and the only thing I wouldn't have again. We loved the location. We wandered to Carlyon Bay, and along the coastal path - Charlestown harbour is only 15-20 minute walk to the west. Such a beautiful place for a night away. Very convenient for the Eden Project. The staff in all areas of the hotel were very friendly, polite and attentive.

This is one of the few hotels that I stay in, where the quality of service just gets better and better, the room was great as is the quality and options on food, very central in terms of Cornwall. Only gripe is the bin on the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous occupant.

Beautiful, elegant hotel with lovely public rooms, ie bar, restaurant. My room had a great sea view. The wall paper was a little dated, but nothing to worry about. When I ran a bath the water was brown - I guess because of either old pipes or recycled rainwater? But it would have been good to have a note explaining it in the bathroom, so I felt reassured to take my bath (I didn't!). Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful on the whole. The views, the walks and the convenient sporting equipment were great, looking forward to using them next visit.

A really nice, pleasant 2 night stay in October. First time staying and a very warm welcome from all and throughout the service was excellent. Tiny issue being the temperature a couple of times, once at breakfast and in the bar, a little overwhelming. Cleanliness and appearance cannot be faulted. Will look to stay again .

Completely mixed experience first of all i will start with the positive Customer service couldn't be better staff were always friendly and helpful,particularly the male staff member working at the taste on Monday evening sorry i didn't get his name. Relatively good value for money when you consider all the amenties and the views. The afternoon tea was incredible! Garden maintenance was wonderful lots of stunning flowers,outdoor and indoor pool were lovely and warm Onto the negatives; The room being somewhat of an old building was covered in dust, the bed wasn't particularly comfartable though i can appreciate everyones firmness/softness level may differ Curtains covered in stains which you wouldn't expect from a high end hotel and the shower and bath took quite a while to warm up. The views from the back are stunning but inland you are looking at flooded roofs and cables (would reccomended upgrading for better scenery) The breakfast was just awful one day the sausages tasted like water the next burned and dry, toast is made fresh but always cold i suggest a make your own toast option may be better, it could easily be compared to a budget breakfast infact i have had better there (the vegetarian option at the taste was a big hit though) To sum up I'd probably try again with a larger room but skip the breakfast Location wise carlyon bay beach is nearby and had lots of nice food options, lost gardens of helligan,eden project, charlestown etc also local

A beautiful location and a clean tidy hotel. The food was amazing and the staff were very professional. My only gripe was that the walls were extremely thin on adjoining rooms meaning I could hear everything from both sides…. Conversation, kettle, nocturnal activity you name it. Try to request a room which doesn’t have this as it was really bad. Avoid room 102!!!

The room I stayed in had no air conditioning so had a few nights of uncomfortable sleep. I was not aware at the time of booking that not all rooms had air conditioning in them . Staff were very helpful & friendly & service was exceptional.

I had a single room and it was too hot - needs air conditioning, I couldn’t sleep. Also poor mattress. I was due to stay another day but am exhausted. Plus no refund for extra day!! Breakfast was normal 2-3 star buffet. Luke warm.

Lovely hotel. In great condition and the staff are friendly and attentive. Won't hesitate to return. The only negative was that as my room was by the lift an early riser woke me at 5 in the morning. But can't complain too much. The stunning view of the sea made the trip

The property is in an excellent location close to the beach. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the cocktails are some of the best anywhere. Our biggest disappointment was the room. It was quite small and there was no air conditioning at a time when the humidity was at its highest. There was a fan but that was useless because it was so noisy. We also reported that the extractor fan in the toilet wasn't working which added to the heat, but it never got repaired. When we left i asked if they had rooms with aircon and was told yes they do have some. When paying over £625 a night for accomodation, food and drink, I would have expected at least that!

Lovely hotel and grounds. Food and service were very good although housekeeping knocked and entered our room without waiting for a response before we had even checked out or had breakfast at 9am! My husband leapt up to respond to the door and flashed her as she went to enter the room. Maybe wait until people check out to clean the rooms in future or at the very least give guests a chance to respond to you before you enter the room. It was a shock (probably for her too) but it did make us laugh!

Getting drinks in the bar was a bit slow 3 staff on duty at the bar, and all standing behind it. but only taking orders once their manager pointed out they needed to. Some guests had table service and others had to go up to the bar. No real reason as to why the difference in treatment of guests. Maybe inexperience more than anything. Overall lovely place and would stay again.

The room I stayed in had no air conditioning so had a few nights of uncomfortable sleep. I was not aware at the time of booking that not all rooms had air conditioning in them . Staff were very helpful & friendly & service was exceptional.

Lovely property. Well maintained, beautiful landscaping. Room was nice, a little warm but hotel provided fans. Would have liked to have planned a spa day, but they were fully booked. Food was wonderful, especially breakfast. View of bay was excellent. Staff were incredible and professional. Lasting memories for our few days we spent there.

Completely mixed experience first of all i will start with the positive Customer service couldn't be better staff were always friendly and helpful,particularly the male staff member working at the taste on Monday evening sorry i didn't get his name. Relatively good value for money when you consider all the amenties and the views. The afternoon tea was incredible! Garden maintenance was wonderful lots of stunning flowers,outdoor and indoor pool were lovely and warm Onto the negatives; The room being somewhat of an old building was covered in dust, the bed wasn't particularly comfartable though i can appreciate everyones firmness/softness level may differ Curtains covered in stains which you wouldn't expect from a high end hotel and the shower and bath took quite a while to warm up. The views from the back are stunning but inland you are looking at flooded roofs and cables (would reccomended upgrading for better scenery) The breakfast was just awful one day the sausages tasted like water the next burned and dry, toast is made fresh but always cold i suggest a make your own toast option may be better, it could easily be compared to a budget breakfast infact i have had better there (the vegetarian option at the taste was a big hit though) To sum up I'd probably try again with a larger room but skip the breakfast Location wise carlyon bay beach is nearby and had lots of nice food options, lost gardens of helligan,eden project, charlestown etc also local

Great hotel in a stunning location, facilities were great we used the spa, both pools and the golf course. The beach is a short walk away and Charlestown is only a 20 min walk along the coast path and well worth a visit.

We had a lovely stay in a standard double room with sea view. The room was very clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely to swim in on a fairly cool April day, and the rest of the spa was great too. Breakfast was excellent - a very wide range of options including freshly cooked full Cornish. The coffee was rather weak, that's personal taste and the only thing I wouldn't have again. We loved the location. We wandered to Carlyon Bay, and along the coastal path - Charlestown harbour is only 15-20 minute walk to the west. Such a beautiful place for a night away. Very convenient for the Eden Project. The staff in all areas of the hotel were very friendly, polite and attentive.

The property is in an excellent location close to the beach. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the cocktails are some of the best anywhere. Our biggest disappointment was the room. It was quite small and there was no air conditioning at a time when the humidity was at its highest. There was a fan but that was useless because it was so noisy. We also reported that the extractor fan in the toilet wasn't working which added to the heat, but it never got repaired. When we left i asked if they had rooms with aircon and was told yes they do have some. When paying over £625 a night for accomodation, food and drink, I would have expected at least that!

We have visited this hotel on a number of occasions and the service, friendliness and professionalism of the staff remains consistently excellent.
