We had a window and it was sizeable. Did not stay for breakfast, but the coffee was good. Staff were very good and friendly. They made us feel at home. Room was very tidy and neat. We stayed here a year ago and the hotel was tired and needed some upkeep. They have done this and the hotel was in very good shape compared to last year. Definitely improved. The facilities are decent - steam room was nice, though too much Chlorine in the hot tub - burned your eyes. Dinner menu was good and the portions were very generous. Only improvement is that there are ONLY 2 EV Chargers on site. If you are late, you might struggle. We were lucky to get the second one. Also when you are trying to pay for the chargers - you can't read the instructions at night (and it gets dark early)... But worked well.

Overall a very nice stay with helpful and friendly staff and a good cafe for dinner and breakfast. We have marked it down because there was a problem with the door keys which meant that we had to be let into our room by a member of staff each time we returned to our room. They did this with good grace but it was inconvenient and would have been helpful if we had been warned in advance as we might have changed our plans. We understand these things happen but it seems it was due to a power cut resetting the codes which seems like something that might recur and seems it may take several days to fix.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful and picturesque setting but only a short drive into Exeter. Room had everything I needed and very comfortable. Pool and Spa area are amazing. The only slight negative was the onsite restaurant, although food quality was very good the menu itself was quite limited and there wasn’t really anywhere else close by to eat in the evening.

Stayed in Mere haven Suite which is huge, with separate living/dining room. Nice view over the golf course. Nice little kitchen, that could be better stocked with cutlery if eating in, which we did. Bit of an issue as the key card doors weren't working so you had to be let in by reception staff. Breakfast was nice. Not loads of choice but good juice and coffee., hot buffet.

Everything about our our stay was first class from booking on line to our departure. All the staff helpful , friendly and professional, especially the receptionists at the pool.A great golf venue and the view from the pool , sauna , steam room and gym all top class. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room not the cleanest with mud and biscuit crumbs under desk and around bin. But bed very comfy and plenty of towels. Evening menu a little limited. Spa lovely but really crowded and main hot tub broken.

Nice Hotel set in the Devon countryside. Staff were excellent although I was disappointed with the options in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast in the morning. Also very disappointed that you still need a pound coin to use the lockers in the gym changing room.

There were some minor issues which could have been avoided and I should not have had to raise with members of staff including: 1. No lemon for gin and tonics in the bar on two consecutive nights 2. Extremely slow service in the restaurant - the table next to us was offered a complimentary drink as a result but we were not 3. On one day the used towels were not replaced in the room even though they were put in the bath as requested 4. On both days the tea and milk was not replaced in the room and we had to get supplies from reception 5. The cold tap in the bath was only a "trickle" so the bath was too hot to use safely

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodbury Park Hotel. The room was quiet and we had a balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was well maintained and comfortable. The food was excellent too.

Stayed in the lodge and although it needed paint touchups in certain areas (dog scratches on the doors etc) it would have been acceptable except that it was dirty. Grime in the shower/bath, cobwebs above the light fittings, drink spills on walls and grime on the radiators. Oven door was full of grease as well as the window handle in the kitchen. Window smears and food crumbs in the cutlery drawers…. Needs a thorough deep clean all over.

Was an early birthday treat / stop off on our way to Cornwall to see a university - the room was sold as an atrium view - as we our trip was in the winter and we would be arriving and leaving in the dark I didn’t think this would be a problem. However it basically felt like I was sleeping in the middle of a pub as the noise coming up from the bar / restaurant in the atrium was not at all blocked out by the window. Our room had a previous guests dirty socks in. The pool and spa area was good - the floor in the ladies reside changing was filthy. Would not rebook

On the plus side; Beds & Linens Bathroom & Shower Setting Pool & Spa all fantastic. I found the restaurant logistics somewhat odd though having to reserve a table even though it was empty and then having the bill brought to my table with card machine and asked to pay before the food had even arrived. Food was good though. The clubhouse food also good but menu there is quite limited. Overall great value for money albeit the decor could do with a spruce up as looking a little tired in lots of places.

Booked this place because of a last-minute business trip. The hotel is on lovely geounds and the staff are friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a bit tired and dated, but clean. This biggest issue i had with the room is how thin the walls were. I could here every sniff and cough coming from my neighbouring rooms. The TV in the next room sounded like it was on in my room. The other problem is that when i opened my window, my downstairs neighbours were smoking on their balcony so my room filled with smoke. It was a really hot day and not being able to open my window was a right pain.

Spacious, comfortable room. Excellent shower, very clean and a nice , firm bed. bed. Very impressed with all of the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. On the downside the rooms are very dated, carpets and need decorating, plus really tatty net curtains and falling off one window. The main areas were okay, but bedroom was disappointing.

This was fine for an overnight stay to visit the Sidmouth Folk Festival. Not our sort of place as it has no character as it’s a sports centre and health spa but if that’s your thing you’d love it. Our room was perfect in every way except it overlooked the central atrium so there were no outside windows and you can’t open the window for fresh air.

Easy to access, plenty of free parking, and excellent pool. However, the walls are quite thin, and on 3/5 nights other tourists decided to delay our sleep for hours. On the bright side, when I complained to the reception about this, the disturbance ended within 15 minutes, so well done to the reception crew. Would i return here? Probably not, but for others it would be perfect

On the second night of our stay there was a group in the lounge/bar area in the atrium who were loud and roudy until 2am and were vaping inside. Two calls to reception and the group continued to be rowdy.

Third time visiting and staying at the hotel and on this occasion, left feeling pretty underwhelmed. Location and facilities remain a huge positive, but staff and general service was poor and not to the standard experienced at the hotel in the past. Staff on reception were particularly unfriendly and un-attentive. An ongoing issue with key cards was annoying, as is the need to collect towels for swimming from the main hotel reception rather than the reception at the swimming pool/gym. We stayed in one of the lodges which we’d stayed in previously. This time, we found it to be very tired and not in the best condition. Loads of cobwebs and dead spiders in the corners of rooms and around light fittings - although bathrooms and kitchen was very clean.

Great stay as always, with friendly staff happy to go above and beyond during this stressful holiday season. Check in is prompt and helpful, breakfast is generous and plentiful, and management was all "hands on deck", present and caring with guests and staff alike. It's by far my favourite place in the area, and I keep coming once a month and am never disappointed. A haven of peace and quiet with outstanding staff, stay after stay.

Had a disappointing stay in a lovely hotel. Room large and clean, bed comfortable but was given room right next to reception which meant constant door banging throughout the night and noise from main sliding doors same. Staff assistance was variable, one advised no need to book for dinner and gave wrong opening times so we missed dinner with only option to grab table in bar. Food wasnt very good. Parking was fine, but not well sign posted the actual hotel. So it took a bit of time trying to find the right building. Which only says hotel in small letters. But everything else in big letters. The reception was not the most welcoming.there phone for the reception or room service didn’t work. Even when I rang directly using my mobile phone they didn’t bother answering. Only one chef on at their restaurant. Wasn’t even that busy. But still took a while. Plus they didn’t have everything instock for meals and breakfast as well, wasn’t a full breakfast because they hadn’t had their delivery. Room was clean but not well stocked. With hot drinks. And they didn’t have any menus for their restaurant or drinks menus. Which if you want people to eat at your place you would make the effort to do. I have stayed in cheap hotels and had much better experiences. But thought this is a birthday present for my wife who has been very unwell. And I would stay somewhere a bit more nicer sounding. But was left disappointed.

Everything about our our stay was first class from booking on line to our departure. All the staff helpful , friendly and professional, especially the receptionists at the pool.A great golf venue and the view from the pool , sauna , steam room and gym all top class. After the computer at check in failing then the card machine did not work, the receptionist then used another computer gave me the key, but still card machine not working, went to the room only to find it was occupied with another guests clothes and case in! Went back to reception and had to wait for another room, the room was an adjoining room and very noisy. I stupidly left a pair of trousers in the room, contacted the hotel after the stay to be told I had to arrange collection as they don't have a delivery service, considering the above I thought they may have made a exception. Also main bar very poorly stocked no choice of beer, shame hotel seemed ok, may not return

Although a little out the way , the hotel was comfortable and affordable. A little disappointed that we couldn’t use the spa treatments. I would strongly advise booking well before trip. We also had trouble trying to get a taxi , and was told that it would cost around £20 each way. If you want to visit Exeter or Exmouth I would suggest staying closer to town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodbury Park Hotel. The room was quiet and we had a balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was well maintained and comfortable. The food was excellent too.

Nice Hotel set in the Devon countryside. Staff were excellent although I was disappointed with the options in the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast in the morning. Also very disappointed that you still need a pound coin to use the lockers in the gym changing room.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful and picturesque setting but only a short drive into Exeter. Room had everything I needed and very comfortable. Pool and Spa area are amazing. The only slight negative was the onsite restaurant, although food quality was very good the menu itself was quite limited and there wasn’t really anywhere else close by to eat in the evening.

Everything was lovely apart from the food. Breakfast was just ok, not enough fruit and having to fetch everything to your table was annoying. I had one evening meal (chicken breast on flatbread) and it was poor - chewy chicken and very hard flatbread. On the plus side my room was comfortable and warm with a lovely view.

Room was lovely, nice big suite with excellent shower and big comfy bed. Reception staff were not welcoming and were disinterested. Hotel restaurant was out of service for the women's French rugby team, and will be for a month, so we ate dinner at the golf club. It was comparable to Wetherspoons food, but at golf club prices. Similarly, no room service was available. Breakfast buffet was not available - so usually-free picky bits like toast, cereal and juice we had to pay for at the golf club and wait 20 minutes for. The pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room were lovely.

Golf bar closed down early due to winter which was fair enough but the hotel restaurant then closed between 5 and 6 so there was nowhere to order food. Once they took orders, the kitchen got very busy which slowed the service down. Also, the menu was pretty unexciting and didnt seem to change.
