Great room, massive , very comfortable bed. Nice bar area with good food. Only downside is there is no lift to the restaurant so its not accessible.

Arrived by car on a Friday afternoon and found parking was available but the bays were very narrow (Not good). Booking in at reception was very good and the staff could not have been better, very pleasant and helpful. Lift to room was clean and quick and the rooms air-con was very welcome. The room was clean and well presented but some rubbish from a previous occupant was left in the bin. The Wi-fi was slow. The toilet seats are not "Soft Close" which was annoying to be awoken with a loud bang through out the night. The sink would not hold water, it wasted water. To get to the Breakfast Area there are three flights of stairs. The hand rails on both sides were sticky, dirty and made of wood. They would be easier to clean if made of metal. The carpet at the foot of the stairs needs replacing, it has seen better days. Service was good and very helpful. The croissants were unfortunately very stoggy, even when heated. Our last comment is that there was a conference being held on the Saturday which meant that when we returned from a ride out the only place left for us to park was on the far side of the carpark. Carpark should be separated with parking reserved for residents in the nearest bays. These could be colour coded for ease on arrival.

Disappointed that parking charges introduced since previous stay were not clear when booking, which meant was not best value booking. Corridors and therefore room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Bathroom areas of mould around bath/shower area. Although convenient for an event we were attending fell some way short of expectations.

You find out when you get there tgat it is going to cost you a whopping £15 to park your car (despite blue badge). Breakfast in the morning involves ascending around 25 stairs with no lift(not an easy task for a guest with very limited mobility). Couldnt eat the eggs as i didnt have a chisel handy. Server snatched away my slice of toast just as i had buttered it, absolutely will not go again.

Good hotel with plenty of parking and lots going on around it if you want to eat out. Room was nice, shower was ace, breakfast yummy and the staff were very friendly from check in to check out.

Great location, beautiful grounds, helpful , friendly and approachable staff. The meals at this hotel were exceptionaly cooked to a very high standard with more than ample size portions of high quality products. This hotel supplied some of the best meals we have had at any of the holiday inn hotels that we have stayed in over the years. The only area of this hotel that we could criticise is that breakfast is served in a upstairs restaurant and the only access to this area is via a staircase which we did find a little difficult to access due to mobility issues. However this did not spoil our weekend stay overall. We would not hesitate to return in the future.

Nice place but Im pretty sure the last person to stay in room 111 vomited quite violently as yhere were dried splatters up the wall. Aside from this, everything was good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our over night stay. Room was exceptionally clean. The bed was enormous and so comfortable. Black out curtains were a bonus. Everything was tip top. Our service by all the staff was top class. Our breakfast was terrific . We had our around 8.15 and it was relatively quiet. There was plenty on offer and all prepared well. A big thank you to all the staff for the outstanding work they do.

Great service and front desk staff were very helpful. Room was very clean and spacious, Lots of food choices nearby, 1 tip would be not to be in a room facing the food restaurants, We stayed facing this way and over a weekend we had the local youngsters driving the cars at high speed, loud music blasting using the horn and doing wheel spins and donuts until 3am. So avoid staying in a room this side of the hotel. Maybe weekdays are quieter. But the hotel it’s self was great and would stay again,

Not happy at all. Bedsheets were stained and full of short hairs on. Ot did not smell fresh and had body marks on it, all together we believe the bedsheets were not changed prior to our arrival. Bath tub was not washed and the sink was manky. Cobwebs on windows corners. Friendly staff, but unprepared and room wasn't clean enough to accommodate us as guests. Hopefully it will be better next time!

The Hotel itself is top notch but it was let down greatly by the lack of sound proofing in the rooms. We were kept awake all night by extremely noisy inconsiderate neighbors. We could hear the TV, talking, turning switches on and off (lots), the swearing and shouting was terrible, they then decided to have a telephone conversation on speaker phone for over an hour, this continued all through the night and was at its worst between 0200hrs to 05.40hrs. It was just too late to contact reception and move as we were only staying 1 night.

To get to the Breakfast Area there are three flights of stairs. The hand rails on both sides were sticky, dirty and made of wood. They would be easier to clean if made of metal. The carpet at the foot of the stairs needs replacing, it has seen better days. Service was good and very helpful. The croissants were unfortunately very stoggy, even when heated. Our last comment is that there was a conference being held on the Saturday which meant that when we returned from a ride out the only place left for us to park was on the far side of the carpark. Carpark should be separated with parking reserved for residents in the nearest bays. These could be colour coded for ease on arrival.

I was greeted on reception by Louise, she was warm and friendly- I had accidentally booked two rooms by mistake but Louise was able to resolve the issue immediately, no hassle or fuss! She was absolutely fab. We were given a lake view upgrade, and also free parking which was a nice surprise too. The whole hotel was very accommodating, very clean and tidy. Our room was lovely and clean also. We arrived 2hours before check in however we were offered to have our access to our room for a small fee, this was really useful as we were attending a wedding and needed to get ready! Overall this hotel is in a great location, warm friendly staff with lovely customer service. Everything was great and we will definitely stay again if ever in the area. Thank you to Louise for making our short trip easy and stress free! She is a credit to your company with her welcoming friendly persona, nothing was too much trouble.

Basic hotel but it was great for our one evening stay. Staff were nice. Not sure if parking is free as we got complimentary due to a technical issue at check in. Breakfast was a standard buffet fayre. Don't expect any vegan options etc, but again OK for us £16. 50 per head.

We thoroughly enjoyed our over night stay. Room was exceptionally clean. The bed was enormous and so comfortable. Black out curtains were a bonus. Everything was tip top. Our service by all the staff was top class. Our breakfast was terrific . We had our around 8.15 and it was relatively quiet. There was plenty on offer and all prepared well. A big thank you to all the staff for the outstanding work they do.

The breakfast was really good The worlers and cleaners.were very nice and good. The hotel is quite dated and the management's need to invest in new carpets in the least. Fix door frames and do.some TLC. This is not management but owners and capital planning in facilities management.

The hotel is advertised as an upmarket hotel but all areas other than the bar and back garden were tired and scruffy. The breakfast room was particularly uninviting and breakfast itself had a minimal selection. For the price of the rooms, i would expect better and you could hear every sound in the corridor and neighbouring rooms. Parking is an extra charge or £12 per day. On a positive, the airconditioning in the room as welcome and the free wifi was good. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I could not fault the hotel for their service. Also their food was amazing. The room was fabulous, only fault was hair dryer did not reach the mirrors. Also paying for parking we did not knownto see reception first before paying for parking. We would definitely be back and book again!

You find out when you get there tgat it is going to cost you a whopping £15 to park your car (despite blue badge). Breakfast in the morning involves ascending around 25 stairs with no lift(not an easy task for a guest with very limited mobility). Couldnt eat the eggs as i didnt have a chisel handy. Server snatched away my slice of toast just as i had buttered it, absolutely will not go again.

Great location, beautiful grounds, helpful , friendly and approachable staff. The meals at this hotel were exceptionaly cooked to a very high standard with more than ample size portions of high quality products. This hotel supplied some of the best meals we have had at any of the holiday inn hotels that we have stayed in over the years. The only area of this hotel that we could criticise is that breakfast is served in a upstairs restaurant and the only access to this area is via a staircase which we did find a little difficult to access due to mobility issues. However this did not spoil our weekend stay overall. We would not hesitate to return in the future.
