Room was large and views lovely as had a seafront room. Breakfast was very good, cooked fresh and plenty of it. Lady serving was lovely. Room dated but clean, bathroom TINY! Biggest issue was the hotel staying it has parking. This actually equates to 5 spaces which the staff use. Anyone arriving in the summer, or with mobility issues could find themselves unable to park

Didn’t expect too much as was overnight stay for early ferry trip for family of 6 with little research. Staff were welcoming and hotel modern and room very clean. They got up extra early to give us continental breakfast. Great location, nice bar , recommended! Far exceeded our expectations Thankyou.

We had an incredible time at this ultra lovely hotel !! The staff were incredible !! Such lovely people who give you a very warm welcome !! The food was extremely nice all served around the lovely scenery of clacton beach !! The room was bright and airy but lacked a little table in front of the settee to put your tea / coffee on !! That bed was so comfortable and spacious !! The parking was easy to find and i must say a massive thank you to Charlie who really went out of his way to get us to the comrades when we couldn't book a cab due to unavailability !! Thank you so much mate much appreciated !! We shall certainly be staying there again !! Kind regards mark and shazza star x

Check in was friendly and efficient even though a large group was arriving for a function. Room was clean and pleasant with a sea view ( a nice bonus ) and a decent size . Arriving back late in the evening staff were attentive , good humoured and helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and of generous proportions , once again with good natured and helpful staff. A very pleasant experience and one I look forward to repeating next time I'm in Clacton - Well Done

Have stayed here once before. Since that time they have made some changes to the rooms to upgrade them. Rooms are clean. It takes a while for hot water to run in the shower and the flow is week but it’s an old building. This is a nice hotel for the price paid. Breakfast is included and of a reasonable standard. Staff are friendly. There’s some parking and off street parking is available for free.

Large room with great sea view. It was fairly basic with flimsy bedside tables and lacked drawer unit for clothes; however had clean functional bathroom and clean bedding. Breakfast was very good. Nice friendly staff. Free parking and early check-in a real bonus. Great location. Early check-in

Good value for money, the hotel does need updating but I’m not complaining as our stay was comfortable. The shower wasn’t great and the bathroom very small but the bedroom was a good size. Breakfast was excellent. The tv in the room wasn’t great as there was no “live tv” I had to log into the iPlayer to watch anything. We did get free parking round the back. The hotel was placed in an excellent position for the town.

Staff fantastic and very helpful, receptionist moved own car to make room for me. Big problem was music in bar under our room notified ay cheeck in would be noisy until 1am, so noisy items on bedside table jumped around from vibrations. Room was old and needs an upgrade,shower dirty and very small but at what we paid not surprising. Tv a nightmare to operate even receptionist could not sort. Would not go near the place again,feel sorry for staff who tried best with a smile.

Enjoyed my stay here! Parking was round the back of the hotel and free :) Really friendly staff! The room was spacious and clean. The only thing i'll say, is if you want clean towels ect you need to physically go and ask. They didnt just go into the room without permission. I luckily had a sea view, which was stunning! Breakfast was lovely. (Full english) and juices and hot beverages available. Water pressure for the shower isnt the best, but works to have a quick wash! :) Overall, for the price ect i thought it was lovely and will be returning again!

Booked room as indicated on website and later requested it to be on ground floor. Room was nothing like the photos on website. Reception/ manager was a delightful and helpful person. Housekeeping was non existent during our 7 day stay. Bed never made or changed. Bathroom never cleaned. Bed and linen was poor - not " premium " as advertised. Requested new towels which were of different sizes! No chair in room. No shelving in bathroom. Free parking if you can get it - parked on street for 3 nights. Property N O T as listed or shown on website. Choosing a type of room e.g. superior, is futile as it doesn't exist. Property is completely misrepresented on the site. Received one night refund for our complaints. No onsite restaurant as indicated. Very run down property. We booked this for its proximity to family after flying in from Australia and I didn’t expect much. While not a fancy hotel, we had a lovely stay with our young family. We arrived late and check in was made very very easy. Our room was huge, very clean and very comfortable. Staff the next morning were very accomodating and we enjoyed breakfast. Thanks for taking care of us!

The hotel receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was very worn out, the bed was very small and the pillows were virtually non exsistant . The shower tray didn’t drain away. WiFi is very eratic dropping in and out .

This was a cheap seaside hotel and my expectations were not high. However on arrival it was clear they had made an effort to modernise the decor. The bar area was fresh and welcoming. Check in was friendly and efficient. Parking advice given. The rooms were pleasant and clean, bed was comfy and plenty of hot water if you ran the shower for a few minutes first. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was piping hot and excellent. It by far exceeded my expectations. Definitely very good value for money given the included breakfast. Hence the high star rating. Would return if in the area again.

Arriving back late in the evening staff were attentive , good humoured and helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and of generous proportions , once again with good natured and helpful staff. A very pleasant experience and one I look forward to repeating next time I'm in Clacton - Well Done

We had a large room with a sea view and a nice full English breakfast in the morning... shower was a bit small and could do with a shelf in the bathroom...The Hotel is very close to the pier,amusements and shops.

The hotel is on the Sea Front within walking distance of the Pier but far enough away to avoid the noise..Our room was nice and bright with a lovely sea view to wake up to. The bed was lovely and soft It was nice to have a Fire-stick in the TV with a variety of channels to watch including Netflix and Prime lastly the hotel served a nice full English breakfast to get the day going.Overall exceptional value for money will definitely book again

Enjoyed our stay, only down here for 1 night but great location, room was really spacious with a great view, only low point was we waited 55 minutes for a little fry up to come out this morning and it ate in to our time and plans for this morning/afternoon, but all in all a nice night away.

Room was large and views lovely as had a seafront room. Breakfast was very good, cooked fresh and plenty of it. Lady serving was lovely. Room dated but clean, bathroom TINY! Biggest issue was the hotel staying it has parking. This actually equates to 5 spaces which the staff use. Anyone arriving in the summer, or with mobility issues could find themselves unable to park

Staff nice. Bar and breakfast area good. Rooms a bit dated and bathrooms need a tidy up but overall for money good value. Breakfast was cooked on request and was excellent. Prob one of the best I have had in a hotel.

We booked this for its proximity to family after flying in from Australia and I didn’t expect much. While not a fancy hotel, we had a lovely stay with our young family. We arrived late and check in was made very very easy. Our room was huge, very clean and very comfortable. Staff the next morning were very accomodating and we enjoyed breakfast. Thanks for taking care of us!

I never got to go due to mix up with dates I needed a night away I've had the worse year ever I lost my husband in February and 4 weeks later I lost my 17 year old niece so I'm so disappointed I do hope Hotels.com can get my refund so I can at least get away for one night as planned thank you vicky Attridge
