Very convenient for the A13, and there was no significant noise from it. The receptionist was lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. We only stayed a night, so did not try any of the other facilities. Surprisingly, cheaper for our stay than the less pleasant Premier Inn up the road. The only negative is the £3 charge for car parking, even as a hotel guest. It’s very minor in the grand scheme of things, but I was just surprised by it.

We've stayed here a few times now as it's most convenient for family gatherings in the local area. The hotel was very quiet. Plenty of parking (at £3.00/night) The restaurant was closed but we were eating out anyway. The cooked breakfast was good. The rooms are quite basic but perfectly fine for a few nights stay and fine for the cost. Our room was very hot and we found the radiator valve didn't work so we couldn't turn it down/off. We'll be staying again and happy to recommend to people looking for a decent hotel in this area.

Good location and plenty of onsite parking is always a great start. Warm welcome and lots of information at check-in. See by clean room. Had a bar meal fish finger sandwich quite tasty and reasonable value. Break fast was good and cooked to order. All in all a decent place to stay with friendly staff.

Always a decent place to stay. My room was recently redecorated and fitted out. Bathroom was starting to look a little tired and the sash cord on the window was missing so opening it to get some air was difficult. Overall good level of cleanliness. Staff friendly as always. Breakfast was ok - plenty of choice and decent coffee. I was a bit surprised by the £3 overnight parking fee. I would recommend Stifford Hall.

Was quite disappointed for the price we paid for the room. Only one double plug socket. Broken and dirty drawers Old soap residue left on the shower shelf. Outside in the hallway stairwell the handrails was full of thick dust. And the price of drinks was horrendous!!! Also changed to park the car. Would of been cleaner and cheaper to stay at Travelodge

This hotel is a three star and that’s what you get outside the rooms from the car park looked tatty eg windows very dirty ect, the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor, also stains on the bedding. I wouldn’t come back here

Would not stay here again, arrived late and check in process was very slow, the person on the desk didn’t seem to know what to do, and gave contradictory information. Room was ok, bathroom smelled of stale urine, but honestly it was not worth trying to raise this. Photos are misleading, most of the accommodation is in other buildings, behind, off corridors which remind you of overnight ferries

The only room with a wet room is a single. The “disabled “ rooms have a shower over a bath. The bath has two side handles. Our bedroom door could only open halfway because the door hit the front of the toilet. If you have any mobility problems do not use this hotel.

A lovely few nights stay. Second time coming here recently. Staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much and so friendly. Our room was lovely, air con was bliss. Breakfast is so good, has a fab selection for everyone.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at in terms of comfort, food but most of all staff. They are a credit to the hotel, accommodating, helpful, polite and chatty. When in that area again, this will be our first choice to stay.

On Arrival i was issued with room 153. I was in the room 20 minutes when another couple entered my room uding a key card issued by the reception staff. I was about to take a shower after a long journey and fortunately i had not yet undressed. The couple were part of a birthday event being held at the hotel. I immediately informed the reception desk who issued this other couple another room. When i returned to my room i found that my door key had been disabled and i had to yet again return to the desk to jave then reissue me with a key card. On my leaving i was informed by the reception desk staff that the mix up occured due to paper work being completed on error. My issue is that it was the same member of staff who Issued both sets of keys for thecsamecrpom withkn 20 minutes and even acknowledge the ertor at the time. This was a serious breach of my privacy and as such i wont be returnibg to stifford hall or recommending it to anyone. In addution the hall is in a desparate need of redecoration and cleaning. Walls looked filthy tables in dining toom with oeeling lamimate. I will go back to premier inn.

The staff were great, let down by the restaurant on the 1st evening of my stay people were coming in after me, having 2 course and leaving while I was still waiting for one course. I complained so they offered me a free drink which, after 15 more mins didn’t arrive. I told them to forget it and went somewhere else for a meal. The girl on restaurant check in looked like she’d lost £50 and found £1! Credit where it’s due though, the breakfasts were great.

The staff was amazing, everything is onsite including a bar and restaurant. The grounds were pretty and it was pretty clean! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! It was also super close to the cruise terminal so it was an easy uber ride there.

Great place to stay, excellent customer service. Staff very helpful and friendly, very good breakfast included. Used to stay in a well know Inn but prices kept going up and parking got expensive. Wished we had known about this place before, ideal for our trips to London, thanks to everyone working there.

Good, quick check in, friendly jovial receptionist on my visit, Mrs M is all i will give away of her name, nice grounds at front only let down though is that the advertised pictures of grounds is deceiving, no views at all from accomodation quarters view is of the carpark area or service areas , all brickwork, pipes, ventlation shafts and tarmac ground. The views were not stately home looking or greenery like pic shows of the front facade. If your stay prioritises being set in grounds of greenery and trees with a stately residential look and feel then skip this one as that is just at the front entrance and a lot smaller in size than the panaramic lense photoshop actually depicts however , if looking for comfortable stay in fresh air away from city and good condition accomodation block then this will suffice.
Good, quick check in, friendly jovial receptionist on my visit, Mrs M is all i will give away of her name, nice grounds at front only let down though is that the advertised pictures of grounds is deceiving, no views at all from accomodation quarters view is of the carpark area or service areas , all brickwork, pipes, ventlation shafts and tarmac ground. The views were not stately home looking or greenery like pic shows of the front facade. If your stay prioritises being set in grounds of greenery and trees with a stately residential look and feel then skip this one as that is just at the front entrance and a lot smaller in size than the panaramic lense photoshop actually depicts however , if looking for comfortable stay in fresh air away from city and good condition accomodation block then this will suffice.

Very convenient for the A13, and there was no significant noise from it. The receptionist was lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. We only stayed a night, so did not try any of the other facilities. Surprisingly, cheaper for our stay than the less pleasant Premier Inn up the road. The only negative is the £3 charge for car parking, even as a hotel guest. It’s very minor in the grand scheme of things, but I was just surprised by it.

We've stayed here a few times now as it's most convenient for family gatherings in the local area. The hotel was very quiet. Plenty of parking (at £3.00/night) The restaurant was closed but we were eating out anyway. The cooked breakfast was good. The rooms are quite basic but perfectly fine for a few nights stay and fine for the cost. Our room was very hot and we found the radiator valve didn't work so we couldn't turn it down/off. We'll be staying again and happy to recommend to people looking for a decent hotel in this area.

Stayed here numerous times now as it’s close to family and very easy to get in to the center of London the staff are great and welcoming and the rooms and tidy comfortable and relaxing will stay here everytime

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were very spacious, grounds were lovely. We stayed after shopping at lakeside and the night before visiting the Excel so convenient. Would highly recommend.

Stifford Hall was in a very convenient location and has a wide range of parking (payable). It was busy but remarkably quiet. A warm welcome at reception. Bedroom was a bit of a walk; it was comfortable and clean (apart from the window frames, that need some deep cleaning). Dont let that put you off. Breakfast was in a beautiful airey room and was great.

Overall the stay was good. Staff were nice, helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The only problem that I had was, I ordered a pizza from room service that was marked up as being hand made with chicken, choretho and halepinos. The pizza that was delivered was an obvious one that you can buy cheaply from Tesco's. It had a stuffed crust filled with tomato sauce, that was not on the menu and no halepinos. It tasted way too sweet and wasn't spicey. I had 2 slices out of 8 only because I was hungry and I just couldn't manage anymore. It was way too sweet because of the amount of tomato sauce. If i was in the restaurant I would have complained and sent it back but because it was room service and I was tired from a busy day, I just didn't want the hassle of complaining to reception and maybe waiting for 20 minutes for a correct one. If indeed they had one.

The front of house , bar and catering staff were all lovely , very friendly and welcoming . Our room was very comfortable , quiet and clean . The only negative experience for us was the breakfast , it was a buffet style due to the amount of guests staying and they had run out of hot food , some more was being prepared but it was a bit too late and came out in dribs and drabs so became a bitty breakfast . The quality of the food that we managed to get was very nice tho .

Good location and plenty of onsite parking is always a great start. Warm welcome and lots of information at check-in. See by clean room. Had a bar meal fish finger sandwich quite tasty and reasonable value. Break fast was good and cooked to order. All in all a decent place to stay with friendly staff.

Staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was always clean and tidy. Stopped eating breakfast here as the quality was not good. They need to get better sausages, and their smoked salmon & scrambled eggs were not nice.

The hotel room itself was lovely. The staff were great, let down by the restaurant on the 1st evening of my stay people were coming in after me, having 2 course and leaving while I was still waiting for one course. I complained so they offered me a free drink which, after 15 more mins didn’t arrive. I told them to forget it and went somewhere else for a meal. The girl on restaurant check in looked like she’d lost £50 and found £1! Credit where it’s due though, the breakfasts were great.

A lovely few nights stay. Second time coming here recently. Staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much and so friendly. Our room was lovely, air con was bliss. Breakfast is so good, has a fab selection for everyone.

Clean modern room set in the annex building, with shower over bath ensuite, copious amounts of parking set back off the main road, sheltered and quiet grounds, large welcoming reception set in the old hall, with bar and resturant to either side. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Breakfast consisted of a huge delicious cooked plate ordered at the table and/or a small continental buffet along with tea, coffee and juice table.
