Three Ways House Hotel

Old Cotswold stone main building (with 1970’s extension) with recently updated bar/restaurant area. Lovely and helpful staff members who made my stay as a single person comfortable. Bar/dining area with a fire and good range of drinks/food.

The hotel was in a very pretty but very little village which consisted of one shop and 3 pubs. Our hotel was open to public but no one appeared to frequent it. Which made it a bit eerie and lifeless. It looks as though they are in the middle of an extensive refurbishment so this may well improve over time. The staff were all very nice and attentive so besides the above comments we had a nice stay.

Nice lounges and patio to sit and plan sight seeing.

Excellent central area to visit Cotswolds and other tourist places. If you stay on a Friday the added bonus of taking part in the famous "Pudding Club" experience

Good size room , breakfast nice staff at breakfast friendly, welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Disappointments were most of the time there was no one at reception or the bar ( had to ring a bell) which made the place feel like the Marie Celeste and did not entice us to use the bar but go to local pub instead, I was enticed to book the hotel because it had a lounge and open fires which I thought would be lovely in the evening after returning from our day trips for a drink. No fire was ever lit yet we went to other establishments who lit there fires later in the day which created a lovely ambience to rest relax and drink. Also that there was a bar on site ( with a board of cocktails advertised of which only 2 could be made not the bar staffs fault but apparently put up by previous management!!??) The other positive when booking was a restaurant on site. Regarding the restaurant it was great for breakfast but again lacked any ambience for an evening meal. A candle or lower lighting are some thoughts to make it a more restaurant feel. Again we ate elsewhere in the evening even though we had been told the food was good due to the lack of ambience. So your hotel missed out on revenue we would happily have spent in the hotel and bar if it had felt more atmospheric. Friday night we couldn’t park in car park due to pudding club?! Trip was for our wedding anniversary and whilst a lovely visit to the area the hotel was disapointment from what we had booked and expected.

The Three Ways Hotel so a great location for seeing the cotswolds and the staff welcome us and made us feel comfortable, it also had good facilities and a lovely restaurant with an excellent breakfast, our room was very spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, Sammy the manager, was very helpful and we enjoyed speaking with her, to me it's more like a 4 star, then 3 star's hotel, we would definitely recommend and revisit in the near future, room 35 was very spacious with a garden view.

A very comfortable and convenient location. Particularly liked the lounge and easy to relax. There's a lift which is useful and my room was a decent size, bed comfortable and gardens to spill into - garden could do with a bit more and some carpets are a bit tired but that will no doubt be upgraded in time. Easy to order coffee etc whatever time and delicious local biscuits in room. Staff are lovely. Location is good. Recommended

wonderful rooms all located near attractions and importantly they have a parking lot!

One thing I think they should consider (as they have 48 rooms and conference facilities) is an Electric Vehicle charging point.. apart from that we had a lovely stay ...

staff very good pleasant and helpful. The room was poorly cleaned with marks on the wall which came off with a little soap and water. Pillows were stained and not comfortable. Food was average and not very hot. All breakfast food was put on a hotplate and had dried up if you didnt go in early to eat. Lovely hotel which just needs some attention to detail. We would be happy to visit again as majority of the staff and local people were all very friendly and helpful.

We had a nice stay at Three Ways House and the staff were very helpful and cheerful especially in the bar. The food was excellent but the service was slightly disappointing in the restaurant on the first night in that service was very slow and they only had to produce soup and bread for us that night. They did a much better job at breakfast and in the bar the following night. The hotel has very nice staff but the furnishings are quite tired with stains on the dining room seating, on our divan base and on the carpet. This is a pity as the hotel is very well located and their staff very hard working and helpful.

There were bees on the ground swarming around the outdoor seating. Told staff “they have nests in the ground”. The coffee in the room was instant and from an open container. Cobwebs around the inside of window. Shower head on wall not a wand.

Really disappointing. Staff were friendly, however this doesn’t make up for the poor cleanliness in the room. The room was tired, carpet had horrific stains and dust everywhere. The actual room was shown online however the picture looked nothing like the room.

Shampoo, shower gel provided in the bathroom, the shower was over the bath with a shower curtain, but again spotlessly clean, with good fluffy towels.

Most importantly, my wife stabbed herself when closing the curtains on exposed staples that presumably once held the curtain to the wall. This was quietly mentioned on the first morning but it was not attended to. The room was not clean: the top of the headboard was thick with dust, and there was a dead spider hanging from a dusty web in the bathroom. One of the pillowcases was worn out, split from side to side on one side, and holes on the other side, although unacceptable, this was attended to. For the room only price, this was really poor, I would expect better from a cheep b&b.

This is a popular hotel with groups so it gets a lot of use. Our room had a lamp with a cracked shade and a very worn out armchair and dirty carpet. The breakfast buffet was very good. But for the price, I would look elsewhere.

We were given a room with stains on the floor- after complaining we were given a better room- would not stay again.

Cute room comfy bed but quite noisy. The pipes banged all night long, both nights. We didn’t ask to change rooms as it would have meant packing everything up again, so we just used earplugs instead. Our room was also right next to the pub stairs, behind a noise-cancelling door, which meant we could clearly hear people coming through and up to their rooms late at night. Although parking is advertised, it’s very limited and also for the pub and restaurant customers. both nights we had to find parking on the narrow streets. Since parking was one of our booking criteria, a bit more clarity on this would have been appreciated. Overall, it was an okay place to stay, but it didn’t leave much of an impression

My only criticism is that the bathroom was very small and although there was a window, in order to open it, I had to stand on the toilet seat which was by no means satisfactory!

The food was good. The bed was very small for two people and the room was like a sauna when we arrived. Overall decent for the price.

We stayed 2 nights in a ground floor garden room which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a selection of choices. Would definitely stay again.

Took my partner away for his 60th birthday, our room was not what we seen on website. It was like a shoe box, dated like in the 60's, old stained carpets, cracked sink, no privacy bare window looked onto the garden so anyone could see us if only in your underwear. No blind or net. Breakfast constantly waiting for items to be ready. Basic. I was mortified my partner had to wake up on his special birthday in a drab dated room we couldn't swing a cat in. Corridors drab carpets again something from the 60's. Bar area dark drab, depressing. Only 2 plug sockets in the room. We had a fan in one as room unbearably hot, No air con. So we had one plug socket to share to charge 2 phones & use a hair dried. Spoilt my surprise visit for my partners birthday. Only surprise was how badly dated & tiny our room was. Bathroom is 3ft x 4ft. Ridiculously small. Would not stay here ever again & do not recommend.

Conveniently located for our needs. Took a small room (#40) which was ok except for the bed which was a tight fit for two and tended to slope towards the middle.

I booked via Expedia and was placed in a tiny room in the attic above the very large and noisy kitchen extraction fans. We were told that these would be switched off at 9pm and not started again until 7am. This was not a truthful promise. At nearly 10-30 pm I went to the bar and asked for the fans to be switched off so we could sleep. They were started up again at 6am to wake us up. Could we move room ? Yes if we paid the hotel extra money Good deal for them but why should we pay for them to solve a problem and make the stay acceptable. No customer service here ! We will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

Lovely comfortable hotel, most staff very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely, breakfast was the best, only thing was it said breakfast starts at 7am, but if you wanted cooked breakfast, then that didn’t come out until 7.15/7.20. Only problem I had which was Not the hotels fault, is that hotels.com says the room is air conditioned, which it was not, the hotel says it has repeatedly told hotels.com to change this on their website. The hotel does have a few a/c rooms, but not all, so check with the hotel or request a room with a/c. Apart from that nice little stay for a week for work.

The check in at the property was super easy and friendly. The room was spacious clean and had a big bathtub, as well as it’s own private enclosed patio. The hotel has its own restaurant and is within walking to other restaurants. I, unfortunately, had a stroke while I was on the property and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The staff were immediately responsive, friendly and helpful in getting me care and exit out of the hospital via a disability ramp. They worked closely with the paramedics to ensure a smooth exit for my room and the hotel into the ambulance. While I spent the night in the hospital, the staff were very attentive to my wife and her needs while she was at the that evening and the following morning. I highly recommend staying at this hotel when you are in the area, mostly because of the amenities, but also because of the attentive and caring staff.

The welcome was excellent and the room was comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and service was very good. I managed to drop a glass in my bathroom and one of the staff very kindly came and swept it up for me. The evening meals I had were also very good. My only slightly negative comment is that the hot food for breakfast was left out on the counter for quite a while (I had my breakfast from 0830) and some of it (eg the bacon) was either going a bit cold and tough.

Lovely overnight stay, staff all lovely. All good except very slow in restaurant as it was usually busy and they were understaffed I felt.

Check in tried to charge us again for the room. Evening waiting staff managed to get every part of the dining order wrong which is unreal tbh.

Fine, would be better if the receptionist stayed had reception. Had to wait for her for ages twice. Do NOT eat here. Dinner was poor.

We were warned when we checked in that they were busy and this showed throughout our visit. It left like the food was pre-prepared and then cooked again to serve up later. We went done to evening meal at 8.30 and the waiter had to ask the chef if food was available and requested the waiter to "push" the fish & chips. Which is what we were going to order anyway, as they had this as a special on their notice board when we checked in. The chips were over cooked and beyond crunchy, the fish was dry. The next day we had food outside in their beautiful beer garden. We ordered 3 meals. One meal was brought out fresh and 10 minutes later the other two were delivered via 3 other tables. The lasagne was luke warm and dry and again the chips were overcooked. We had a very busy 2 days down in the area so the next morning when we arrived to breakfast to discover it did not start till 0800, which was the time we need to leave the hotel. We left on coffee and toast.Having worked in the travel industry for over 20 years, I assumed breakfast would be available early. This was my error and I will ensure I look closely on the meal timings when booking future hotels. As I said earlier the hotel is lovely with great facilities and we just must have booked the wrong weekend to stay, which was a disappointment to us.

Reception interaction was very poor. Thestaff member at the desk seemed confused and didnt seem to know where to find booking details. She then failed to give us any clear directions on how to get to our upstairs room. We later found that instead of lugging our cases up a very narrow staircase therexwas in fact a lift! She mumbled about being new and she clearly hadnt been given any proper traing for the role.

I had a marvellous stay at this hotel it was very central to the Cotswolds way, as well as the town centre which is a must go to .

First impression was not very good because our rooms were SO small, but clean and functional. After we became accustomed to the facility we discovered how good the breakfast and evening dining was and enjoyed drinks in the public lounge. The facility would benefit from some updating but overall it was good and we can give it a positive recommendation. Convenient location of touring nearby villages.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Not much to do in the area unless you have a car to get into Chipping Campden, although there is a bus which stops very close to the hotel.

The location is beautiful. The staff were really helpful. Two pubs in the village were both great. The bathroom fixtures were a little dated and walls thin. However, the rooms are very comfortable and have nice views. I would stay again.

The room was very clean, super comfortable bed with nice linen, supply of tea/coffee, biscuits and bottled water were nice touches. Good shower. Room had heating and ac. Tv signal was intermittent. The bar area is lovely welcoming and cosy as are all the staff. Such a friendly place to stay. The food was fantastic too. Everything you’d want from a country stay
