Unfortunately the hotel had a wedding on during our stay and we were allocated a room opposite with our two young children. The music finally went off around midnight, not really ideal. We waited a very long time for food in the restaurant which was over priced for the quality. Disappointed as I thought it would have been somewhere we would return. So close to the trails at FOD and an amazing location.

This is a lovely old-fashioned country hotel with a massive charm appeal. We stayed in a room in the cottage which was great with a sitting area as well as comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Everything was in good condition though the age of the building meant some aspects were a little dated and keeping on top of repairs must be difficult - and due to location, the wifi was poor. Breakfast was exceptional - cooked to order and of the highest quality - though the coffee was only filter style from an urn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recmmend - provided you are not looking for the latest mod-cons
