Smooth check in Advised to change room from suite where sofa bed not appropriate for kids to double room. Very honest input from Mohammed at check out. Gave lots of options. Room had poor AC control though, room for some rea9 was really hot. Luckily had a fan in the room. Breakfast decent. Electric charging point x 1, short cable so had to adjust car. Uses bp pulse app. Extended check out at £10 per hour. I feel this should be free in non busy periods.

Good location however rooms hot, air con broken hotel says they don't have air con but there are air con control panels in every room and giant air con venting units outside our window making noise all night. Shower is tiny, can barely move in it and my husband who is over 6ft couldn't stand up properly in it. Charge overnight guests for parking. Lift is broken.

Hmmm. The pros were the reception, breakfast, good gym and the comfy beds. However the downside was the total lack of air conditioning throughout the building. Unable to open the windows more than a few inches it was very hot and at breakfast too. Had the misfortune of dining at Chaplins restaurant. Hugely understaffed, expensive and had to ask for a drink 3 times to different staff members. Ended up getting water from reception in the end

I cant recommend this hotel highly enough, at check in the very kind and helpful Mohammed upgraded our room at no extra cost as he saw that my 6ft3" son was going to be uncomfortable on a sofa bed, the hotel its self was very clean and tidy and very tastfully decorated, a really nice touch having a gym also on site. the room was nice,clean and cosy, the bed was comfy too which is always a risk when booking hotels. We had the breakfast in the morning which catered for everyones tastes, from full english to pastries and cereal. We will definately be staying jere when we visit London again.A**

Hotel staff very polite and helpful also very friendly. Our room was very nice, comfortable and very clean. Also the food at the hotel is very nice and reasonably priced, breakfast was excellent and had plenty of choice to choose from. Ideal for getting into London if you don’t want to pay London prices for hotels. Stanmore station is a 10 minute Uber away which costs between £7 and £10. Parking is £5 a day and there are plenty of spaces available. Would I stay again most definitely.

Stayed here for my wife’s birthday and the lovely lady on reception Christina went above and beyond, we have never met a more friendlier person and she was so helpful , we have booked again next week for just a break from the norm over Christmas and hope Christina is working as it will be so lovely to be greeted by a lovely friendly lady with a fantastic warm smile ! The wife and I send our best to everyone there at elstree , a wonderful Happy Christmas and Holiday time ! Also as a side note , the bed was the most comfiest with pillows that I actually want to know where to buy from because they were THE most comfiest pillows we have ever slept on !! Also 10/10 for hotel cleanliness and breakfast again best I’ve ever had at a hotel , and this place caters for vegans and vegetarians as well . Thankyou again Christina ! Hope to see you next week !

•Spotless room with lots of space •Staff friendly and informative •Breakfast was lovely with a choice of hot and cold foods •Reception was tidy ~Down side was the noise from the main road it sounded as if there was a window open but there wasn’t so it did cause some sleep disturbances but overall apart from that very impressed for our first stay and would stay again but ask to be put in a room that is not facing the main road.

The room was nice, and the breakfast was good. HOWEVER. The room was 27 degrees when we arrived. The rooms have "fan cooling" (or something similar - the staff were very keen to state that it was NOT air conditioning. Despite the "cooling system" being set to -3 all night, the room was still 26 degrees in the morning. We barely slept due to the temperature of the room. I spoke to a member of staff on reception about this in the morning, and she said she would get maintenance to take a look. When we arrived back to the hotel in the evening I asked the staff on reception then if anything had been done. This member of staff was particularly unhelpful, and said maintenance wouldn't have looked at it, as "that's not something they can fix that quickly". I said we needed to be moved rooms as we did not want another night of no sleep, to which she stated there were no other rooms available. I said I wanted a refund then as I wasn't happy spending £200 per night to get no sleep, and she said she couldn't do that either. In the end, all she offered was a fan for that evening. We accepted the offer. Guess what, they couldn't even bring the fan to us. Absolutely terrible service.

Extremely hot room with no air conditioning and no ability to put the temperature down. Room came with one powerless small table fan which made no difference. Asked staff to come and check the room and they didn’t come. After we returned back to the hotel we asked if someone had checked the room they said no one had been. We asked them to come up and check again as we were tired and exhausted. No one came. Called reception 40 mins later and they said someone was on the way up hut no one came. Someone called us 15 mins later asking if we’re waiting to be attended. Later someone came an hour later and said that’s just how the rooms are. Provided one other small table fan. The shower water pressure was very low. Hardly any water was coming out. Overall a very uncomfortable stay so would not stay there again.

Clean / good bathrooms and service welcoming. Just no air conditioning. This was in two rooms and I note reviews elsewhere mention this. It’s Summer. Display would not go below 29c. Windows open and lovely local motorway traffic to listen too. Pick another hotel in Summer for one night stay in area.

Arrived at the property at 1300. The receptionist said she would check to see if my room was ready. It was not. However if I paid an additional £20 it would be ready. Not a great start. We sat in the bar waiting and no one came to tell us when it was ready. Then the room was like a sauna. Opened the windows and turned the radiator off but it was still really hot. Raised this with reception and they said that the air con was switched off across the whole hotel. We could have a fan! Awful stay with really unhelpful staff. I would have rated the staff and service as one star but when we eventually checked in the gentleman was very helpful and attentive.

The staff didn't check me in properly, didn't help arranging a taxi - phoning me at 23:30 that night to say it had been cancelled; the reception staff member was unable to understand basic English and shrugged her shoulders at me. The meal in the restaurant was a nightmare - the 2nd steak I had served to me was raw and cold in the middle. By the time they got me a pork chop to eat, my guests had finished their meal. When checking out, they tried to charge me for the 2nd room and extended check out for it, even though I had paid this when I checked in. They didn't seem able to give me an itemised bill at first and I explained there was no charge for the meal, which I was expecting to pay for my guests dinner, but not mine. This was supposed to be a celebratory event, with my partner graduating at `middlesex Uni, which, although 15 minutes away by car, was looked at as though it was in Scotland or something! I will never stay at this hotel again.

Really like this hotel. A bit far out but near the tube stations and exceptionally reasonable. We paid £507 for three nights including a very well cooked and continental breakfast. 40 minutes into Central London from Whetstone Tube.

I found the hotel to have a very new looking and modern decor. The room was very comfortable. My dinner was tasty and enjoyable. The morning coffee was nice however, the cooked items were over cooked- some were burnt infact. Saddly the hash browns were burnt and inedible... a real shame. The pastrys and fruits were fine and typical for this type of hotel chain. Over all, yes I will stay again and recommend this hotel.

It was a relief to get to a hotel with familiar comforts. Decent-size room and quiet at night. Excellent breakfast that was included. We stayed here to attend a nearby wedding.
