There was a wedding taking place at the hotel which I was informed about the night before arrival. the music was supposed to finish by 12pm. but it didn't finish until 12.20am, then afterwards the guests where getting back to their rooms until approx 1am, very noisily. The wedding guests made it unpleasant at breakfast swarming around the table where we were sat, there was no concern for personal space.

Great place to stay, very friendly staff, upgraded at check in. Only down side was, they added a service charge to my bill without informing me. Room 4 toilet system requires a new washer, water is running all the time.

Hôtel was nice although our room (10) was next to a service cupboard where staff left the door open constantly. Not too happy looking at a washing machine and beer bottle bin every time we left our room. Also we could hear the washing machine being used next morning along with staff chatting outside our room. Food in the restaurant was ok but very overpriced.

One of the nicest rooms we ever had the pleasure to stay in. Every detail was thought about. The bed and bedding was most comfortable, the bathroom a dream and the location beautiful and it was pleasantly quiet.

Lovely refurb but if I’m honest I preferred the previous ‘style’. Staff are fantastic and everywhere is tastefully decorated. Try to avoid room 108 if you don’t need a 6:00am wake-up call. It’s right above the kitchen and the talking and pots and pans noise travel up through the floor.

Lovely grounds, tasty and well presented food as well as a good breakfast (served from 7.30, which was nice as often I'm out early for work and miss hotel breakfasts!). The room itself was quite small, but I did order the basic barn room. More than made up for big a comfy bed and a good quality bathroom. Will stay again if I'm back in the area.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The room was just big enough to host the 4 of us, the service was friendly and welcoming. When I check in online I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday on our checking-out day and wondered if maybe there can be a small cake thing for her - and there WAS! I was so impressed they managed to pull this little magic off for her - she was delighted!! I would certainly recommend this little gem to anyone visiting the area!

We stayed here for our 4th anniversary and we were so impressed. The place was beautiful, the staff were all so polite and helpful. The food was excellent. I must have mentioned it was our anniversary at some point because we had little surprises arranged by the staff and chef throughout our visit to help us celebrate. The extra thoughts and gifts we received throughout our stay made the whole weekend really special for us. Thank you so much. We highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying or eating there.

Very pleasant, just a bit pricey to eat in my opinion, can't fault anything. Friendly staff. Nasty big pot hole on way to the place, covered with water, be careful, nearly lost my whole vehicle inside it !

A very enjoyable stay as always after years of visiting and the restaurant is very good accommodating if needed. The only small feedback - please use a summer duvet on the bed 😌
