Pleasantly surpised by teh Feathers Inn. Comfortable and cosy rooms with good dinimg to be had at the pub on the same premaies. Quiet and comfortable place to spend the night. A great option for a local stay

AVOID room 5! Smells very damp and left with a bad smell on the clothes. ONly 1 small window and barely opened, avoid that room! Also, if they say breakfast is FREE - ignore it, its a scam, they serve it and then charge youand deny they said it was free.

My room was lovely however the cleanliness let it down. It really needed a good deep clean especially the bathroom. The throw was covered in dogs hair, yes i had my service dog with me who does not shed hair so there is no way he would lay on that, just because a customer has a dog with them does not mean you pay high prices but receive a not cared for room! Having said all this the bed was very comfy and staff were great and i will be staying again when visiting my family.

The toilet was smelly and not clean, and the kettle needed descaling. Our towel rail in the bathroom did not work, thus having no heating in the bathroom when the temp outside was 1 degree. On the second night the heating in the bedroom flashed an Error, not giving much heat out. The staff were helpful and very welcoming

The Inn at the front with seperate accommodation to the rear with parking was neat and tidy. The service at check-in was friendly and helpful. Our room which we would consider small, had a comfortable bed. The wifi was a little difficult to log onto as it didn't like our email addresses. Dinner was pleasant with friendly staff and breakfast which was included was also plentiful. Overall we would stay again if needing overnights accommodation.

The room and hotel was very good. However room even with a fan and windows open was cooking. Would have helped if the towel rail was switched off. Breakfast service woeful poor staff overrun due to full hotel and large groups. Management need to ensure enough staff are employed our breakfast took over 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive!

I have stayed at the Feathers several times and find it to be very comfortable with nice and friendly staff. The only downside is that sometimes the bed doesn’t get made although I have advised the staff and hopefully this will be addressed. Also the free wifi isn’t satisfactory as it drops all the time. All in all, I would still be very happy to stay there again in the future. A big plus is the pub which serves great food.

A little run down or basic. Perhaps that is what 150 pounds gets you in today's market. Pub nice enough and breakfast was good. Parking good. Room had two shaded windows facing the back, you couldn't see out of them by design & I had a premier room (it was big enough, just in the corner in the dark)

Unfortunately it took 20 minutes to find someone to staff reception and there was then a problem with our booking. But everyone we spoke to was pleasant and helpful and managed to find different rooms for us to use on the 2 nights we stayed, it also appears that the "error" was on the part of Expedia (who we used to make the booking) not passing the correct information to the property

The pub abd the associated guest rooms are excellent. The area is quiet and peaceful, with easy access to the A10 routes to London or Cambridge. The local town of Ware is a gem for dining and shopping.

Very convenient location for golf at Hanbury Manor or East Herts. Easy access and parking and serves food on a Sunday night which is welcome as many places do their Sunday lunch spree and then close at night. Will stay again next year.

I wasn’t expecting not to be able to eat at the restaurant as a solo traveller, no attempt to find a space was disappointing so had to drive out to find somewhere else. Monday night at 7:30pm? The lady on reception was lovely and the room small but ok, just not being able to eat was my main gripe.

Breakfast service indifferent and toasted bloomer that was part of English breakfast description didn’t arrive. On asking was told that I needed to go and toast my own bread! A bit late by then. It shouldn’t be in the description if it’s not served with it.

This could have been 5* but c’mon guys; Instant coffee for breakfast? Quality stay, poor coffee means i will look elsewhere. HOWEVER, excellent member of staff offered to make me a fresh coffee, cost me £3.25 though. Even filter/drip coffee would have ticked a box. This hotel is better than a Premier, nice pub, comfortable room, nice breakfast but very poor coffee

The room was clean and comfortable. Sadly, the restaurant was dreadful. Holly and Gabby did their best on a busy evening, they were a credit to the hotel. The main course food was appalling. After complaining, our bill was adjusted to our satisfaction. Breakfast was at 8am. We were over for this time, but the staff member wasn’t prepared. I had to eat my cereal out of a mug(no bowls) small drop of hot water in a flask for tea. After perusing the menu, I opted for the brioche bun yogurt and berries for breakfast…..no brioche buns. The saving grace was the nice room and pleasant staff.
