Excellent place to stay with superb grounds and sn amazing tree house which you can actually stay in. The food was excellent although the choices on the the dinner menu were somewhat limited.

Room ok and comfortable. Little bit dated. Reception isnt manned so you have to find someone in the bar. Not enough places to just sit and have a drink. The hotel is local to us when visiting family otherwise we wouldnt choose a hotel with so many dogs. Even allowing dogs in the breakfast room. 'Restaurant' is more of a bar area.

It was pet friendly with lovely dogs who were all well controlled. However, the main purpose of a hotel it to sleep and the room was so poorly sound insulated that we were hardly able to sleep the first night due to the "buzz saw" snoring in the room next door. The next night different visitors were still clearly audible through the walls snoring but it was not as bad - so even normal snoring is clearly audible through the walls. The cozy room was indeed "cozy", but the old metal framed bed was very creaky, so easy to disturb your partner.
