Lovely hotel and pool, we've stayed a few times and the only let down is the bar staff always seem terribly slow. Ordered a shandy and received a lager top, not great if you were planning a few drinks and driving!

I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel & Spa. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, with a few areas that could be improved. The spa facilities were very good and were definitely one of the highlights of my visit. I also want to thank the night staff, who were friendly, welcoming, and kindly offered me a complimentary breakfast, which I really appreciated. On the other hand, I found the bed less comfortable than expected, and the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. The carpet in the room also seemed a little dirty, so I felt more comfortable wearing slippers throughout my stay. The breakfast itself was enjoyable, but I was disappointed that it finished at 9:30 am. Extending it until around 11:00 am would make for a much more relaxed experience, especially for guests who want a slower morning. Overall, the excellent staff and spa made my stay enjoyable, but improvements to the room comfort and cleanliness would make the experience even better.

Stayed 1 night

Stayed over for a wedding at the hotel and received a warm welcome and although we were 2 hours early, our room was ready in 15 minutes and was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff very polite and attentive, food at the wedding was great and the spa was a welcome finish to the weekend. Really good facilities all round. Would stay again
