This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in! One lift was broken, the other didn't go to our floor so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Our bedroom windows were cracked and broken with caution tape on them and the bedroom was clearly in need of an upgrade. The gym equipment was old, rusty and barely functional. Strongly advise you to give it a miss!

The reception, bar, and restaurant were very welcoming. We had two dogs and they were very well treated with treat options and good outdoor garden facilities. The staff were excellent, very pleasant and professional - they really made this a special stay!

Conveniently located hotel. Enjoyed using the pool. Hotel restaurant food was good for both breakfast and dinner. Staff welcoming and helpful. The car park was quite tight to park in, if on the end of the row as I was.

Very disappointed...1st room they allocated hadn't been cleaned from previous occupants, though bedding stripped and let on floor, bin still full. Allocated a different room, and seemed ok but nothing special. However, after returning to the room at 11pm after an evening out found a note on door advising that there was no hot water or heating due to a boiler breaking down. Initially didnt think much of it as we were tired. However, over night the lack of heating was noticeably as bedding was heavy and too warm, so when threw it off, cold very quickly. On top of that I kept hearing the humming of the fans from the air conditioning which was outside the bedroom window which kept me awake. We went to use the spa and showers there which we were told were working, to find spa out of action and the showers had glass doors which mean't couldn't have a proper shower. Breakfast was ok and plenty to choose from. Due to everything we had experienced we decided to book out at 10am rather than midday, and raised our disappointment of our stay with receptionist, who was the only one we really had any interaction. I had a phone call on the way home from a manager,who the lovely receptionist had spoken to about our stay and they have offered to refund our one night stay. I would only use this hotel again if I was flying out from Norwich airport not for when I visit family in the area.

Found this to be an excellent choice of hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bedrooms were big and comfortable. Loved having pillow choices. Pool/sauna/steam room a bonus. There was a good range and choice of food and drink options. Buffet style breakfast, lots of choice. Had evening meal in restaurant, excellent. Definitely will stay again.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious. Our window in the room was broken so wouldnt fully close. We did report this. Lucky the weather isnt as cold or it would have been too cold to sleep in there. Pool was a great added extra, however the changing room facilities are not the best and not very clean.

We arrived for check in to a very cold welcome from Courtney. She was rude and abrupt. When arriving in our room, noticed straight away how dirty it was. I tried to call down to reception to find the phone was not plugged in and no socket was to be found. I went down to show photos I had taken and we were given another room. This room was much the same. Filthy, outdated and in need of some proper maintenance.

The hotel was in a good location for getting to UEA for an open day and was easy to get to from Sheffield. The staff were friendly and helpful and the main area was clean and well decorated. The room smelled a little damp when we arrived though the smell faded quite quickly. We found a good wrapper down the side of the sofa bed which wasn't great but the bedding and towels all seemed clean. The mattresses on both the bed and the sofa bed were extremely uncomfortable which was a shame and because of this I would not start at this girl again.

Was pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation and facilities.very impressee. I would have rated excellent. However, one of the receptionists could have been more friendly and let the rest of the staff down. I also found a used sanitary pad on the floor in the bathroom.

The room needs painting there was hair in the shower and on the side by the sink. The bed was really hard and gave us hip ache the next morning. The extractor in the bathroom did not work so steamed up the whole room when having a shower. There were stains on the wall by the bed that looked like either a drink had been thrown up it or someone urinated on it we spoke to reception twice but nothing was done but they did offer a free coffee that we declined. The lift was out of order so had to lug our luggage up 2 flights of stairs.the breakfast was overcooked or had been under a heat lamp so not acceptable on all items other than beans. The staff were lovely and very apologetic but on this occasion the room let them down.

A tired hotel patched up. Great service from all the staff. The building needs attention - power sockets didn't all work, hot water wasn't hot, water pressure very low and such like - all minor on their own, but a full refurb would help a lot, as would better maintenance for the small issues.

We stayed at this hotel before continuing to our next destination. Our room was behind the reception and we can hear the noise so didn’t get to sleep well. The breakfast bar was good; plenty of selections from fruits to hot breakfast, tea and coffee.

Staff were truly excellent- helpful and polite. However, the room had faults. The AC did not work for bothe nights. Staff were not able to correct that. The sink in our room was cracked. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. There mosquitoes in the bathroom. Overall not up to the usual Holiday Inn Standards.

Two of the four plug sockets didn't work, the bathroom smelled of block drains and the walls are paper thin and at 11pm I could hear everything going on in the room next door. The lift to the third floor was out of action. They also placed a solo female traveller as far away from reception as possible, I can't believe hotel chains still have no policy to protect vulnerable guests. I mentioned all this on check out and the girl just stared at me like I had three heads.

The room was basic but not uncomfortable, just cold. The shower seemed to take an age to warm up too. Check-out was really poor......1 person on reception and a queue of people waiting to check out at 7-7:15am; then people wanted separate invoices for food & accommodation which took forever; then the printer didn't work for the receipts!!! It took me 15mins to check-out which led to me joining traffic I got up early to avoid.

I arrived late, around 1am. (I did phone up earlier in the day to let them know) I checked in at reception, headed upstairs ready to get some sleep, only to find someone in the bed!! I absolutely jumped out of my skin…I’m sure the other guy had a shock too with a stranger strolling in, in the middle of the night! I got another room and spoke to reception in the morning. They were more apologetic and sorry that it happened unlike the night staff who thought it was funny. I’ll be putting the chain on the door when I stay in future!

On checking in at the holiday inn ihg Norwich hotel the reception staff took payment for car parking yet one week later I received a parking fine . At no point did the staff member tell us that our registration had to be entered into the computer system . When my wife called to discuss the matter with the hotel staff she received the comment " it's not my problem you should have read the signs in the car park" . After a discussion with the staff member my wife was told the fine would be cancelled but the staff member was rude and abrupt and refused to give her name . The call was made to reception at 14:55 on 28 th March 2025. I won't be back

Staff make the hotel, everyone was so friendly, I came with wife and our autistic son, he was made up with how staff liaised with him, even the kids pack which included a lanyard (he collects lanyards) Room was comfortable and breakfast was lovely

We usually stay the night before our travels from Norwich airport. The hotel is walking distance from the airport . This time we did have an issue with our room. However this was quick;y sorted out by Nikki, she was extremely helpful, very professional and wished for our stay to be a happy one. Thank you Nikki. We did have our evening meal in the restaurant. It is so nice to have a relaxing time before travelling the next day.

This hotel is very well managed. All the staff from reception, housekeeping, dining room and cleaning are without doubt the friendliest people you could wish to meet, always helpful, nothing is too much trouble, there is a very peaceful but efficient atmosphere throughout. My wife and I have stayed in many hotels in our life, in the Far East, USA, Canada and New Zealand, rarely have we experienced such such wonderful staff and such a friendly atmosphere. Well done and thank you for your efforts during our recent stay, you are a great team.

I stayed when my flight out of Norwich airport was canceled. It was so convenient to be able to walk across the car park the next morning to catch my rescheduled flight. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the restaurant where I ate dinner and breakfast having some good vegan options.

Large family room with huge bathroom featuring separate bath and shower. Free parking and no noise from nearby airport. Included a buffet breakfast with a separate gluten free area. Slight issue at check out where they wanted me to pay again (apparently an Expedia error) but this was sorted within 10 minutes once I had found proof of payment.

Had a nice weekend break with my son to visit the new Castle museum. Hotel was quiet, clean, and friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is it’s a long way out of town. But there’s a regular bus service nearby.

We didn’t spend much time there as we were staying with family nearby after the birth of their first child. We found the staff friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and clean Room did need a revamp but was comfortable and we had a great nights sleep Bar area and restaurant area was lovely and staff helpful. Breakfast was great and lots of selection. I am gluten intolerant and there was lots of selection snd staff helpful with this as well Loved the children’s breakfast area and play area too and I know that my other grandson who stayed for a few nights after we left loved it as well Definitely stay there again

Staff were helpful and very friendly. The hotel was clean with spacious rooms, dining/ bar and reception area and an on site pool. Great breakfast with good provision for children, and for guests with gluten intolerance. We had one evening meal at the restaurant, the portions were generous but overcooked. There is a pick up drop off bus service a five minute walk away, that takes you to Norwich in 10-15 minutes. I recommend this hotel and would use it again.

Easy to get to, and a well lit car park. Breakfast was good, but hot food was not as hot as it could be. The first day most of it was cold. I had breakfast at 9am and it didnt finish serving until 10.30am. The second day was better. The choice was really good and self serve. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are modern and bright. The early access and late leaving is a bonus . The staff are really friendly and helpful.

Staff were all brilliant, couldn't do enough. The pool was a great addition and something to do in the evening with the kids as it is 20 mins drive from the city. Evening menu was quite limited but fine for a one night stay, food was good, hot and well presented. The only thing I would say is that the building is a little tired and could do with a revamp. But it was bright and clean and the staff were all exceptional.

Very very child friendly hotel. Kids 4 and 8, both got a kids activity pack when we arrived. Staff giving high fives often. Treasure hunt going on when we were there, all exciting. Very good breakfast, very good location. Did see other people walk to the airport from the hotel.
