The outstanding customer service was the highlight at this hotel. Great facilities (swimmimg pool.and gym) with standard room that I booked. The odd carpet stain (in the room) but no complaints on cleanliness at all.

Staying away for work for 1-night. Room comfortable, ensuite was small. Went to use the pool but it was very small and very busy, so didn't bother. I was in room 311, which was at the start of the corridor, so later in evening there was an amount of noise outside room with others returning to their rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Got parked in car park close to main entrance. Walked to a nearby pub for dinner. All in all a pleasant stay

A fantastic overnight stay with friends. Welcoming check-in Ecen though she was on her own and busy it was quick and efficient. Room clean and spacious enough and great to have aircon with the exceptitional 30° heatwave! Pool area is a little dated and in need of some tlc but pleasent enough. We stayed on the DB&B offer and enjoyed our meal. Would definitely come back and stay here again when visiting Norwich.

Were told there was some refurbs for the pool the week before we went but that all facilities would be useable. Bearing in mind it was the week after we thought there would be zero issues the pool was not in service. That's one of the main reasons we booked ( we always book somewhere with a pool!!!) my other half also woke up with a bad back Never had issues at any holiday on before but the bed was hard.

Very attractive & good renovated hotel. Decoration good, standard room shower room is a bit tight. Excellent breakfast, lovely staff, pool, sauna & jaccuzzi. Adequate car parking, on bus routes to Norwich, although these are no good evening times.

One of the best Holiday Inn we have stayed at with great spa facilities including swimming, sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Also catered for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options in breakfast and dining options. Decent breakfast with nice smoothies! We booked a premium room so had complimentary mini bar replenished everyday with free water, chocolates, crisps and pepsi. My daughter enjoyed playing in the kids area with table football, jengha and 4 in a row! Staff were very helpful and nice too. Special thanks to Laura who was more than happy to help with a smile always! Great experience and would definitely visit again!

The good: plentiful free parking. Staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast had a good range and vegan options were available. Location was good (6 mins from Norwich city centre). Beds were firm and pillows were decent. The bad: the bathroom in a standard room is like one of those puzzles you used to get in the 90's. The ones where you had a flat plastic square and there were several tiles, and you have to move them into the correct position to form the picture. Remember those? That's like the bathroom. It's very small. Getting into the shower takes some serious manoeuvring and to be frank, if you're a little bit chunky, you might struggle. The ugly: cleanliness generally was very good. There was a hair ball in the bathroom that (hopefully) was from the previous occupants hairbrush so it wasn't perfect. I wasn't particularly bothered by it, but if you're a bit fussy or a bit "Monica" you might not think that's good enough. Perfectly good hotel for a weekend. Would probably consider somewhere else (or a more expensive room) for anything longer.

My noodle soup for dinner came with a dead fly and a hair in it. The restaurant manager was very good but I cancelled breakfast and opted for McDonalds. When I went outside for a cigarette at 11pm, I saw a mouse run down the hallway. Reported to the staff in the morning. Rooms were awkwardly small, thin walls, and the TV was just on the side of a desk and you couldn't easily watch it from bed without craning your neck. The shower was visibly grimey, the shower on/off valve felt like it was about to fall off, most plug sockets weren't even installed properly in the side of the bed and were visibly wonky. One plug socket was damaged and looked like it was falling off. £90 is insanely expensive for that, and the place is not fit to eat in. Flies in the food and mice running down hallways point to real issues with cleanliness and pest control.

Loads of free car parking, friendly and helpful reception staff. Room was exceptionally clean and in great condition and as always at Holiday Inns the beds are really comfortable, nice bedding and pillows. Premium room had it's own Lilly coffee maker and free snacks/drinks in the fridge which was a nice touch. Good quality products to use in the bathroom which was also immaculately clean. All round really happy with my stay!

The staff are really friendly, the room is a good size and the beds comfy. The room is clean, but unfortunately as soon as we opened the door we were hit by the smell of smoke. It’s a non smoking room, but clearly the previous occupants had been smoking. The cleaner had left the window open and we were given an air freshener to spray but it didn’t help. The hotel was full so couldn’t be moved. A real shame, a child and 2 non smokers, it spoilt the stay really.

Excellent well thought out breakfast. Very clean throughout. Comfortable beds. Staff helpful and friendly. Convenient location for university and city centre. The only negative was the size of the bathroom in a premium room; it was way too small to even be able to shut the door without difficulties. We are not big people but we stuggled to squeeze between the toilet and sink (about 25 - 30cm gap) to give sufficient space to shut the door. Then when trying to dry yourself with a towel after a shower this was also challenging. Bathroom would benefit from a pocket door.

We opted for the premium room upgrade. This gives you a complementary fridge with 2 pepsi max, a can of water, some crisps and a crunchy chocolate bar. The room had a great view of some broken exercise bikes and some bins. The bed wasn't that comfortable and the bathroom was so large you wouldn't be able to swing a mouse. Not sure how some people would even be able to close the door to access the shower as the door goes inwards towards the toilet. Apart from the disappointment of a premium room being in my view a lower standard than your average 2 star hotel. We was happy with the friendly staff. The hotel location and facilities and the breakfast was great. We didn't complain about the uncomfortable mattress as we only stayed one night and wouldn't stay again.

Hotel room in general seem a bit tired but was fairly comfortable. Room AC was quite loud in the night as the room was hot. Plus points were the staff were really helpful and friendly. Additionally the pool was handy but very clean.

Found executive room very small (room 340). When i mentioned it on check our, the reply was it was the extras that gave it the executive level, not the size of the room. Bathroom very small. Not worth the extra cost

Couple of times when I went to reception there was no-one on the desk and had to wait for someone to appear. Overall though we were very satisfied.

Very comfortable rooms, abundant free parking, nice toiletries and lovely staff. Location was also very convenient for visiting my family in Norwich's Golden Triangle. The only small disappointment was that we weren't able to book in for breakfast on the Sunday due to the volume of guests and short staffing of the dining area, which meant we had to go out for breakfast.

The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and was very attentive but we felt our stay went a little down hill after this. There was a very loud man walking around the hotel shouting and swearing we weren’t sure if he was a staff member or guest as he was using cleaning supplies. The spa and gym area was very dissapointing. The male changing rooms had no cubicles for changing, the gym was packed and you couldn’t get on any equipment. The pool area was not set up for a spa/relaxation area as you might expect when it is advertised as a spa hotel, it was noisy and very open to being looked at by all the male gym users that made you feel very uncomfortable. The sauna was out of order. We had children running up and down our corridor very early and then a cleaner starting hovering and cleaning adjacent rooms at 9am. Fair to say we did not have a relaxing stay and could not sleep in. The staff at the bar area could use some training using the coffee machine. The first staff member that took my order said he didnt know how to make a latte so bare with him it might be bad, then handed us to another staff member who had to make our drinks twice because she said she did it wrong. I would not stay here again.

The good: plentiful free parking. Staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast had a good range and vegan options were available. Location was good (6 mins from Norwich city centre). Beds were firm and pillows were decent. The bad: the bathroom in a standard room is like one of those puzzles you used to get in the 90's. The ones where you had a flat plastic square and there were several tiles, and you have to move them into the correct position to form the picture. Remember those? That's like the bathroom. The hotel has a nice swimming pool with a sauna, steam room and gym which both my wife and I enjoy. We used the hotel as a base to visit Norwich and although it is not quite walkable it is still a very short car or taxi drive. The hotel room in comfortable with all the usual amenities. Food and drink are available but we did not avail ourselves of these services. Nice place for a weekend stay.

Handy for shopping ,which are a few hundred meters away, also on a bus route to Norwich. Parking is free at this hotel It was very easy to check in ,the receptionist was very chatty, made us feel at ease. The only down point to make was the soundproofing from the floor above sounded like a herd of elephants.

Very attractive & good renovated hotel. Decoration good, standard room shower room is a bit tight. Excellent breakfast, lovely staff, pool, sauna & jaccuzzi. Adequate car parking, on bus routes to Norwich, although these are no good evening times.

My husband and I traveled to visit our son at Norwich Hospital and stayed for two nights only, the proximity to the hospital was great for a short taxi drive. Hotel is clean and comfortable, breakfast and dinner areas very clean and food was very tasty and good variety. Staff is very friendly and helpful with all our requests and questions. I would stay here again if need be. Norwich is a very relaxing lovely town!

Brilliant stay, staff at check in and for meals couldn’t have been more friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate in staying again. The dinner, bed and breakfast package is also extremely good value.

My noodle soup for dinner came with a dead fly and a hair in it. The restaurant manager was very good but I cancelled breakfast and opted for McDonalds. When I went outside for a cigarette at 11pm, I saw a mouse run down the hallway. Reported to the staff in the morning. Rooms were awkwardly small, thin walls, and the TV was just on the side of a desk and you couldn't easily watch it from bed without craning your neck. The shower was visibly grimey, the shower on/off valve felt like it was about to fall off, most plug sockets weren't even installed properly in the side of the bed and were visibly wonky. One plug socket was damaged and looked like it was falling off. £90 is insanely expensive for that, and the place is not fit to eat in. Flies in the food and mice running down hallways point to real issues with cleanliness and pest control.

One of the best Holiday Inn we have stayed at with great spa facilities including swimming, sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Also catered for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options in breakfast and dining options. Decent breakfast with nice smoothies! We booked a premium room so had complimentary mini bar replenished everyday with free water, chocolates, crisps and pepsi. My daughter enjoyed playing in the kids area with table football, jengha and 4 in a row! Staff were very helpful and nice too. Special thanks to Laura who was more than happy to help with a smile always! Great experience and would definitely visit again!

The majority of our stay was fine, the room looked clean on the surface but there were a few tiny spiders that were hanging from webs one was on a web between the pillow and the side table another was in the bathroom attached to the sink. There was what looked like a small amount of dried blood splatter on the bathroom door frame, the floors looked very tired and the bathroom floor liked like it needed a good bleaching to get the dirt up. The chair in our room smelt musty, I didn’t sniff it, you could just smell it when you sat in the chair. The mattress was very soft and bouncy, it seemed to be fine for my husband but a bit too soft for me. In the bar area the soft furnishings looked ok from afar but up close were very dirty on the arms of the chairs etc. I really think the place needs a good clean and some new furniture. The breakfast are was pretty clean and tidy and the breakfast was great plenty of choice and good food. There was 1 young man with a lot of curly hair who was very attentive and polite, I watched as he very patiently dealt with an elderly couple who had a lot of requests and assistance and he helped with enthusiasm Overall the staff were polite and helpful
