Very poor lighting in room and restaurant. Expensive food in restaurant, limited menu with unhelpful description of choices.

The room was huge and very comfortable. Bath and shower were both fabulous. The hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was superb and the breakfast room was very light and airy. We had drinks from the bar and sat in the games room which was fab playing dominoes and solitaire. We had a wonderful stay thankyou so much.

Well located for surrounding area. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and cosy. We only stayed one night but our evening meal was excellent and breakfast was great too. We couldn’t fault it and just wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely stay from check in with very helpful, friendly receptionist, excellent dinner with perfect service and the same with breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable with some nice touches ( homemade shortbread, good coffee and tea selection, dressing gowns). Nice location to see what North Norfolk has to offer. Only booked for 1 night but would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay for a few days in Norfolk, in a good location. We struggled with parking on the first day arriving during bank holiday weekend - we had to park on a random street 10 minutes away. So we weren’t able to bring our luggage with us to check in, and had to wait until the evening to get a parking space. The staff weren’t particularly helpful when we asked what we should do in this situation, but they seemed quite busy and stressed. There was also a problem with our room key being missing - the situation was a bit chaotic. So this paired with the parking didn’t get us off to the best start. The room was comfortable with a large bed and had everything we needed. The shower was powerful and warm. Only thing to note was the sink was in the bedroom not the bathroom which is worth noting. The room, and the hallways of the main house could do with a refresh of paint too. Our room overlooked the courtyard and it was quite warm so we had the window open which did mean it was a bit noisy at night, especially over the bank holiday. The food was very good. Both at breakfast and for dinner. The breakfast menu could have done with a couple more hot options for when you are staying more than a couple days as it did get repetitive. But the food was fresh and tasty and the continental spread was good. Overall a lovely hotel, but it could just improve a little in places to deliver the experience they are wanting to offer.
