Wonderful place on the edge of Settle. Very old Manor House with cosy log fire in reception and everything you expect from a Manor House. Staff were very helpful and checked us in very early. Dog friendly and welcoming. Only criticism, was the put up beds for the children were hard and uncomfortable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely setting with rooms well ordered, Cooked breakfast was well cooked. It fruit selection poor and no plain yoghurt! Evening meal menu had something for everyone. Lovely log fires burning and a great place to stay for a celebration. Good parking and only a few minutes walk into the pretty market town which has pubs and an Indian along with lots of cafes.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of October, the hotel was very inviting with candles lit throughout the hallway creating a lovely ambience and this was followed with a very warm welcome. The decoration throughout the hotel was of a high standard and our room had the most stunning views. We didn't dine that evening as we had decided to walk into the beautiful village of Settle (approx. 5-7 min walk), we did have drinks back at the hotel later in the evening which was a bonus. The breakfast was up there with the best I have ever eaten. It really was absolutely delicious. We will definitely book again in the near future.

Wonderful hotel in an beautiful setting in the Yorkshire Dales just outside Settle. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the gardens and a four poster bed. Really friendly staff throughout the stay, with a great breakfast served the next day.

We had a one night stay with our dog. The hotel felt warm and welcoming. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and made a fuss of our little pooch. The rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was lovely and even our dog her own sausage on a garnished plate.

Beautiful old building and neat gardens, staff helpful and attentive even though few of them. Excellent food, veggie available on each menu. Comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, big bath, plenty hot drink makings. Lovely and peaceful.

From checking in to checkout the staff were brilliant. Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed through serious bad weather and even with staff going early to ensure they got home those that stayed were attentive, polite and ensured nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again.

The drains are almost clogged, and there was a back flush from other toilets to mine. Although the food was OK itself, the service was extremely slow and frustrating. The breakfast start time was 8:00 instead of 7;30, which you couldn’t find any cocked stuff there yet.

Lovely hotel, nice staff, our room looked over a bin store which could have been avoided with some bin screens. Evening meal and breakfast was ok, both overcooked or hot held to long. Would return if in the area as the room price was good.

The hotel is very old and beautifully furnished with lots of quiet sitting areas. Because it is so old some doorways are very low, my husband banged his head going into the bathroom, of our room some warning

Entrance Amazing, Superior room was disappointing. There was a large bed but the view was over a small courtyard and bins and the side of another building. No Hangers on one side of wardrobe .Shower room was a nice size but no shelf by sink to put toothbrush and toiletries and NO shaver socket .The food was a reasonable price ,expect good home made pub food not gourmet.

From checking in to checkout the staff were brilliant. Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed through serious bad weather and even with staff going early to ensure they got home those that stayed were attentive, polite and ensured nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again.

Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also.

Wonderful place on the edge of Settle. Very old Manor House with cosy log fire in reception and everything you expect from a Manor House. Staff were very helpful and checked us in very early. Dog friendly and welcoming. Only criticism, was the put up beds for the children were hard and uncomfortable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely setting with rooms well ordered, Cooked breakfast was well cooked. It fruit selection poor and no plain yoghurt! Evening meal menu had something for everyone. Lovely log fires burning and a great place to stay for a celebration. Good parking and only a few minutes walk into the pretty market town which has pubs and an Indian along with lots of cafes.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 1 night at the beginning of October, the hotel was very inviting with candles lit throughout the hallway creating a lovely ambience and this was followed with a very warm welcome. The decoration throughout the hotel was of a high standard and our room had the most stunning views. We didn't dine that evening as we had decided to walk into the beautiful village of Settle (approx. 5-7 min walk), we did have drinks back at the hotel later in the evening which was a bonus. The breakfast was up there with the best I have ever eaten. It really was absolutely delicious. We will definitely book again in the near future.
